This horror film demonstrates that attempting to resurrect the dead through supernatural rituals often leads to catastrophic consequences, as the old couple's attempt to bring back their dead grandson Jackson results in multiple deaths, supernatural possession, and the release of demonic entities, ultimately proving that such forbidden practices cannot be controlled and typically result in tragedy for all involved.

Old Couple Kidnaps A Pregnant Woman To Resurrect Dead Grandson, But It Goes WrongAdded:
Hello everyone, [music] back again with film recaps. In this video, I'm going to recap one of the horror mystery films from [music] 2020 titled Anything for Jackson. Before we get to the story line, I'd like to wish everyone a happy and great day. Without further [music] ado, let's get straight to the story line.
The movie opens with an old couple named Henry and Audrey going about their morning routine in their home.
Moments later, a woman arrives at their doorstep, and the film takes a dark turn when the couple forcefully drags her inside.
The woman continues to struggle while Henry takes her upstairs through the lift.
Sometime later, the kidnapped woman, whose name is Shannon, wakes up tied to a bed and gagged.
She notices a little child who greets her, [music] and Audrey begins reading from a piece of paper and introduces herself.
She apologizes for kidnapping Shannon, who turns out to be heavily pregnant.
Audrey explains they mean no harm to her or her unborn baby and assures her that her husband, who is a doctor, will take good care of her.
Later, Henry goes outside while Audrey removes Shannon's gag, after which she screams for help. It turns out the couple is actually doing a sound check, and Henry hears no screaming from inside, which he informs his wife over the phone.
Meanwhile, Shannon asks why they are doing this. So, Audrey explains they just want to bring back their dead grandson, Jackson.
A confused Shannon asks if it's the same kid in front of her, and Audrey is stunned to realize that Shannon can see him since she and her husband can't.
Audrey shockingly reveals that Jackson is dead, and Shannon is overcome with terror when she sees this.
>> Let's make it a little bit higher.
Jesus.
Later, Henry says he wants to skip work [music] and stay home with them, but Audrey reminds him that there should be no changes in the routine as it might look suspicious.
As Henry prepares to leave the house, he meets a worker named Rory, who removes snow for his family. Rory is about to get to work, but Henry says he doesn't want any noise because his wife is a little sick.
Rory agrees to work quietly, but when Henry insists that he leave, the man finally decides to go.
Back in the house, Audrey tries to give Shannon some vitamins, but the latter is hesitant to take them, even though Audrey takes one herself to show it is safe. She goes through Shannon's bag and finds a bottle of pills, but cannot read the label. So, she goes to look for her glasses.
During this, Shannon tries to grab her phone and calls someone, but Audrey shows up and snatches the phone before she can.
Shannon notices a teddy nearby, which turns out to have cameras fitted inside it, and Audrey uses the footage to learn Shannon's phone passcode and unlocks it.
She then signs into a dating app and arranges a date for Shannon that same evening to avoid raising suspicion.
The scene then cuts to a flashback where we see that the old couple has found a dead bird and takes out a thousand-year-old incantation book.
Audrey then places a drop of her blood on the bird, after which she reads aloud a spell from the book.
Suddenly, [music] the dead bird comes back to life, which excites the couple as it confirms the book is real and that they may be able to revive their grandson as well.
In the present, the couple arrives at a community center where they meet a man named Ian and chat briefly. Ian mentions a book that Henry was desperately looking for and says he couldn't find it, but Henry assures him it is fine.
Later, they enter a room where a group of black hooded people are waiting for them. And it turns out that they are all devil worshippers.
They gather around a table marked with a satanic symbol and multiple candles, after which they begin to worship Satan.
The scene then cuts to another flashback where we see Shannon visiting Henry for a checkup after feeling unwell.
He informs her that she is pregnant, but instead of bringing joy, the news devastates Shannon. It turns out the baby's father is long gone, and Shannon's only family is her mother, who also leaves far away. An excited Henry sends a text to his wife saying he has found the one, while Shannon decides to keep the baby and feels relieved that she will be in the hands of such a good doctor. He then takes a picture of her, claiming it is just to remember her. But in reality, we later see the photo in his house labeled mommy.
In the present, Shannon wakes up coughing up blood and realizes the old couple is performing a ritual on her.
They paint her with blood, after which they both cut their hands and spill the blood onto a heart, after which Shannon begins to convulse. [music] The lights start to flicker and Audrey begins reading the spell and soon they notice Jackson in the distance.
The couple invites Jackson to inhabit the unborn baby, but suddenly Jackson's ghost is crushed by something.
Just then, a demonic figure appears, causing Audrey to scream in fear. The demonic figure checks on Shannon, who soon loses consciousness, [music] after which the figure disappears.
Up next, the couple rushes to check on Shannon and hear a baby's heartbeat, concluding that everything is fine. They believe the heartbeat is Jackson's and think the ritual has been successful, which excites them.
The next [music] morning, Henry wakes up and upon noticing his wife in the mirror, tries speaking to her, but she doesn't respond.
But to his horror, Henry receives a call from Audrey inviting him to help carry groceries downstairs.
Soon, the woman in front of him begins to approach while flossing her teeth, which fall to the ground one by one.
>> Audrey Henry starts screaming, but the real Audrey arrives to calm him just as the figure vanishes and his wife assures him that there is nothing there.
Later, Henry is at his office when he is visited by a detective named Bellows, who has been investigating Shannon's disappearance.
The detective reveals that Shannon was scheduled to meet Henry that day. So, the old man lies, claiming their appointment was cancelled. When the officer asks to see proof, such as call records or texts, Henry says he saw her walking near his home that morning.
Back at home, Audrey hears a knock at the door and when she opens it, she finds a child covered in a white sheet asking for trick or treat.
This makes Audrey very uncomfortable, so she assumes it is just a prank and shuts [music] the door right when she hears knocking at the back door. And a chill runs through her spine when she notices it is the same child.
Audrey soon finds the child inside the house. So, she tries to call her husband while watching the ghostly kid run through the house.
When Henry picks up the phone, Audrey explains what happened, but Henry suddenly says that maybe she should give her soul to the ghost girl, implying that he is not Henry.
At this moment, Audrey notices the child trying to get into the elevator and tries to stop it, but to no avail.
And then when the doors open, a large figure dressed entirely in a white ghost costume appears and lunges at her. But the figure suddenly disappears, leaving only the white cloth behind.
Later, Shannon asks Audrey the reason she was screaming earlier, to which the old woman reveals that her daughter came to see her and explains how she used to dress as a ghost every Halloween.
Shannon asks where her daughter is now, but Audrey suddenly gets uncomfortable and changes the topic before leaving.
Later, Shannon's attention is drawn to the teddy bear with cameras. So, she begins rattling the bed and finally manages to knock it off. She then tries to free herself from the handcuffs, but soon notices a ghost with its head wrapped in plastic under the bed, which scares the [ย __ย ] out of her. The ghost slowly rises and begins making strange movements before approaching Shannon on the bed. The poor woman screams for help, and even though Audrey arrives outside, she cannot open the door.
The ghost then proceeds to bite her belly right when Audrey enters the room and is horrified by the sight.
Soon her husband arrives after which the ghost disappears.
Sometime later, Henry informs his wife that he stitched up Shannon [music] and there is no real damage. At this point, Audrey is confused about what is happening and worries that they might have made a mistake.
The next [music] day, tension arises further when the couple notices that Rory has arrived again. So Henry asks his wife to stay inside and goes to greet him.
Henry reveals that he called Rory's wife to let her know they won't need him for the next few months, but the man says he hasn't been home in a while. [music] Rory then vents about his personal problems and offers to clean Henry's yard for free, even though the old man says it is not necessary.
Following this, Rory starts his snowplow and begins working. While the couple grows increasingly worried about his presence, Audrey is anxious about the ghosts living in the house. But her husband assures her that after the baby is born, they will burn the house down along with the ghosts and leave for Mexico.
However, [music] things take a shocking turn when Rory suddenly shouts at them that they did the right thing and that Jackson is inside.
Jackson's in there. He's coming back to you.
Later, Audrey goes to check on Shannon and notices that her wrists are losing blood circulation, so she removes the handcuffs and Shannon does not attempt to escape. Audrey wraps cloth around her cuffs, so the restraints won't cause further harm. Shannon asks about her daughter again, and Audrey reveals that she was in the same car when Jackson died. She did not die immediately, but was left disabled and depressed. So, in the end, she could not bear the loss of her child and took her own life.
Elsewhere, Henry is burying Rory's dead body in the snowy woods when he receives a call from someone. It turns out to be Bellows, who [music] wants to have a further chat about Shannon's disappearance and asks if she can come to his home. Henry tries to avoid the meeting, but when the detective insists, he has no choice but to agree and rushes home.
Back at home, Shannon tells Audrey that she can be Jackson's mother and live with them. But Audrey thinks she is just trying to manipulate her. However, [music] Shannon insists she is sincere and says Jackson will need someone to take care of him as the old couple will not be with him for long. She claims they can lock her in a room if needed as all she wants is to be part of the baby's life and it seems like Audrey is starting to believe her. They are then interrupted by a knock, so Audrey puts a gag on Shannon and goes to check.
Shortly after, Henry rushes home only to be met with a shocking sight. Bellows has learned everything while a helpless Audrey is seen tied up nearby.
Henry claims that it is all his doing and that his wife has nothing to do with it. But then this happens.
>> You have to let me out. Please, you have to help. Great. But it's all over now.
Just let me out of my thing.
Henry then rushes to free his wife, after which they both work together to dispose of the dead body in the woods.
Not long after, Ian arrives at their home, where Henry shows him the incantation book, which he bought from Jerusalem from a shady looking man for a large sum of money. The couple asks Ian to read it, and he quickly realizes something is wrong and asks them what is going on.
Audrey tells him they summoned a particular demon to revive their grandson as the book says it is possible.
However, Ian states their translation is incorrect and explains that they have invoked a demon called Serot who can open the door that allows all souls from purgatory to enter in search of a host.
Next, the couple takes him to the room where Shannon is sedated and explains what they have done to her. Ian says that they have only completed half the ceremony, so they must follow through and trade a life for Jackson, meaning Shannon must die. He says he can help them, but in exchange, he wants the book and $10,000, which the couple agrees to provide. He suggests doing it the next day and also advises them to place salt around Shannon and even themselves to keep the spirits away.
Afterwards, we see Salt drawn across the doorway while Henry is reading a book, and Audrey is sleeping on the floor.
Shannon informs Henry about the deal she made with his wife to let her live as Jackson's mother. But it is clear he doesn't agree as he is desperate to bring his grandson back. However, it turns out he is not doing it for Jackson, but for Audrey, whom he loves more than anything. It is revealed that during Jackson's accident, it was Audrey who was driving the car. So she still carries the guilt for both her grandsons and daughter's deaths.
At this moment, the ghost of Bellows appears and shoots herself in front of them before another presence drags her body away.
Elsewhere, Ian finishes reading the incantation book, and when his mother calls him for supper, he becomes angry and yells at her.
The next morning, we see Ian arriving at the old couple's house, where he is suddenly spooked by Bella's ghost, and Audrey says she has been doing that all night.
Ian then adds blood to the salt line they have drawn saying it will keep the ghosts away and it indeed works.
Ian then takes Henry outside where he counts a few steps and asks him to place dead animals at a specific spot. He warns Henry that there will come a time when he himself must kill Shannon and if he hesitates everyone could die.
Inside the house, Audrey finishes painting the satanic symbol on the floor while Shannon tells her that she is hungry. So Audrey goes to look for food.
Taking advantage of the situation, [music] Shannon removes one of her handcuffs and spills water over herself and also breaks the glass and hides a shard with her before screaming for Audrey. Shannon pretends that her water has broken. So, a panicked Audrey immediately calls her husband. Henry soon rushes inside with Ian and they prepare for the ritual. But during this, Ian accidentally breaks the salt barrier.
Soon, Ian begins chanting spells from the book, during which Henry repeatedly receives calls from [music] someone.
When he finally picks up, it turns out to be another cult member who reveals that Ian killed his own mother last night and painted strange symbols. And now the police are questioning her. This leaves Henry stunned, but he decides not to show his reaction and remains calm.
Next, Ian proceeds to make a cross on his feet, [music] and as he walks toward Shannon, he leaves the mark on the ground. But Shannon soon manages to grab Audrey before pressing a shard of glass against her neck. She demands that Henry undo her restraints or she will cut Audrey's throat. Ian tells him not to comply, but Henry grows desperate to protect his wife and tries to free Shannon until Ian stops him. Henry throws the keys toward Shannon, but before she can completely free herself, Ian intercepts her and grabs the keys himself.
At this moment, Audrey says all she wants is her grandson. But Ian grows annoyed, and stabs her with a knife.
Ian then cuts his hand, splashes blood on the couple and continues the ritual while saying the devil is coming as Audrey passes away in her husband's arms.
During this time, Shannon manages to stab Ian in the leg and another ghost appears who drags Ian away from there and seemingly kills him.
Shannon desperately tries to grab the keys when the ghost with the plastic wrapped head appears and lunges at her again. During the chaos, Henry grabs the keys and frees Shannon, after which he apologizes and tells her to run away.
Just then, something begins to emerge from Audrey's lifeless body, so Shannon urges Henry to come with her. But the old man begins bleeding profusely from the mouth and appears to be possessed by something.
Shannon thus runs down the stairs and encounters many ghosts which scares the [ย __ย ] out of her.
Upstairs, the old couple lies dead on the floor while a horned devil is seen walking around.
Meanwhile, Shannon is in the kitchen and finds a car key on the table. She tries to take them, but the ghost of Bellows wakes up and says she can help before shooting herself.
A panicked Shannon leaves the house and notices Rory outside who attempts to speak to her.
She also catches a glimpse of Jackson through the window before he's being pulled away.
Shannon gets in the car and drives off, but she soon sees the same demonic entity from earlier who is pregnant and crossing the street. The movie ends as the entity vanishes while Shannon places a hand on her belly, relieved that both she and her baby have survived this horrific ordeal.
Okay guys, thanks for watching.
