[00:00:00]Hello everybody, welcome to Fumble Super League. This is week five in the NA Swiss and I'm up against Mudara. Funny enough, we're both European.

[00:00:10]>> [laughter] >> But he's at the top, I think, with four wins. I'm on two wins and two draws. I draw a lot with this team. I do not like this frenzy guy. But funny enough, he's got a frenzy guy as well. We've both We've both got a frenzy. I've gone with two dodge and he's gone with three wrestle. I think the three wrestle might might be better in this match-up, but I think dodge is quite good for just being an elf, isn't it? I do like running around being an elf normally. I won the toss, chose to receive to try and beat him up seeing as, you know, beating people up is very good. You should almost always receive. If you're in any doubt whether to kick or receive, you should receive. That's That's it, simple. So yeah, we've we've both got nearly the same team.

[00:00:52]And you know, we've got dodge on the We've got the leader. We've got the dodge players and we've both got a frenzy lion, which I absolutely hate the the frenzy lion. I absolutely hate him.

[00:01:09]Block rolling both downs here was quite good, wasn't it?

[00:01:13]And obviously we're going to use the the lion warrior to blitz a wrestler.

[00:01:20]Funny enough, what I should have done here is I didn't know Mudara's line strat.

[00:01:40]So, run back there so that he can't, you know, even base me with this guy.

[00:01:57]The frenzy does do something, right? It does make It does deny squares to It kind of narrows the pitch by one, doesn't it?

[00:02:06]And I would have done things if he didn't have frenzy that I didn't do because he had frenzy.

[00:02:12]So, it did do something.

[00:02:13]And I guess mine did something as well.

[00:02:32]So, in retrospect, again, if I'd known how hard it was going to be to get past Madara, I probably should have just uh you know, gone up here, made a cage, and uh blitzed this guy and got something down here.

[00:02:45]I you know, move my team in this kind of area.

[00:02:49]But, uh I was not aware of the line strat. Even though he's in it already, even though he's already in it, I wasn't aware of how busted it is.

[00:03:04]So, I I just go backwards cuz I think, "Why not? I'll try and claw this guy."

[00:03:11]It's really good player to remove, isn't it? If I get to remove him with the claw. Did not get to remove him with the claw.

[00:03:20]And then here I was going to I was going to stand there to trap him, right?

[00:03:24]And then I thought, "If I do, he could blitz me twice and surf me."

[00:03:29]That's literally what I thought.

[00:05:20]And this line is just really, really good, isn't it? If you've only got strength three. I'm unused to facing this without necromantic who's just piling with guard and strength four.

[00:05:29]>> [laughter] >> And then it's not so good, is it? But um when you're only strength three yourself and you don't really have any angle, do you, to do anything? So Yeah.

[00:05:44]I could have tried to get around the corner here. I did consider trying to go around the corner a little bit here.

[00:05:51]Especially after piling him right.

[00:05:52]That's five. I could have gone there a bit. But again, then he could then he could come in with a serve. So the the frenzy is really what makes this work.

[00:06:01]Because you can't run somebody around like to the outside like that.

[00:06:05]Um So yeah, it's pretty good having this frenzy in here. And like I can't just pile in like an idiot. I I guess what I could have done is I could have like blitzed this guy in one dice.

[00:06:18]Um and you know, put an assist, blitz this guy in one dice. And then I could have two plus people through. But it's also turned four. It's a little bit early to do that. And people are pretty far away. So I don't really want to do that either.

[00:06:29]So um I centralize, which keeps him honest a bit, doesn't it?

[00:06:36]But not really thinking about what to do.

[00:06:41]I'm trying to not get full blitz like blitzes and a follow up and some stuff.

[00:06:45]Maybe he should have kept tagging him.

[00:06:48]No reason to let him get him up for free.

[00:06:52]And concede space.

[00:07:07]You can argue for the Dragon Prince blitz here, can't you?

[00:07:11]Because they're both down is uh That was an kill an instant app on. I'm never going to not app all the first removal honestly with iOS.

[00:07:22]Cuz everyone's a good player, aren't they? So um maybe just prioritize like not having your guy wrestle seeing as you've got this amazing line, which is like impenetrable. Except now it is penetrable, right? Because now what I can do is what I attempt to do.

[00:07:39]Which is take the least important fellows and then go for a 4 plus dodge.

[00:07:44]This guy goes 1 2 3 4 5 6, and if he gets the 4 plus dodge, then he he hits him, and if he powers him, it's amazing cuz it changed that guy to there, and then everybody walk through for free, and everybody is right there as well, not like last turn. This time they're right there, so I'd get the whole team through it like here.

[00:08:05]If if I can do a 4 plus. If I if I if I don't power, then I've still got two something, haven't I?

[00:08:11]Oh, no, it's three twos. Not so good if I don't power.

[00:08:14]It's three twos, but if I power, it's just completely incredible. No, no, if I if I don't power, I push my own player.

[00:08:19]And then it's it's No, no, it's still three. So, okay, yeah, well.

[00:08:23]If I one dice power, it's incredible. If I push him, it's not so good.

[00:08:27]But, if I push him, then I just carry on dodging myself with the with the dragon warrior dragon prince, and then the other dragon prince will come on a three two, so I've dragon princes behind the line.

[00:08:41]And obviously, the fact that I've gone into such detail means you know that the dodge fail is coming.

[00:08:51]So, not great.

[00:08:57]And now he just goes back, and this weakness no longer exists in the formation, so it's just a full line.

[00:10:24]Because I was an idiot and didn't see this super basic chain.

[00:11:21]So I watched this back and I think what this So there's a dodge play here. I think what the play I should have done with three rerolls was dodge this fella out to there.

[00:11:44]In fact, maybe dodge this guy out and around.

[00:11:56]I think the best move is this guy dodges out because he's not doing anything else, right? This guy can't go anywhere or do anything else. So, this guy does a two plus and then I just go straight in for the the dodge surf.

[00:12:12]Um you know, these can come down, follow this way. This can come across, get it this way, or if it goes that way, I can come out and get it. So, I think I should have just done dodge.

[00:12:26]Maybe a block cuz he can't go too far.

[00:12:28]So, maybe a block and then cuz I might get a pow. And then if I get the pow, he could come and pick it up and like hand it off, right? And then I'm gone.

[00:12:36]So, maybe just do the 2D in case they're all at full pow.

[00:12:40]But then just go and do the surf instead. But instead, it's a bit of a I'm not a bit of a scuffed turn, a very scuffed turn.

[00:12:50]A very, very scuffed turn cuz I don't follow. Like what I should have done there is I could have just followed. I could have just pushed him there and followed.

[00:12:58]He could have been there and I could have been an assist. And instead, I just didn't follow. I don't know why.

[00:13:08]And then I don't I pow him, but he's steady footing and I don't have an assist. So, now I've got a rather than blitzing with a thrower, I've got to now blitz with this guy.

[00:13:21]Which to be fair is a chaos, but he is apple works.

[00:13:25]And then I dreaded this throw-in, but it came back to me, so that was a glorious throwing.

[00:13:30]And now the problem is I didn't use this guy for the anything, right? So, this guy is now totally trapped.

[00:13:39]I've used an extra player that I didn't need to use to get the surf.

[00:13:43]But he did have a two plus out, so that's quite good.

[00:13:46]So, and he's got block, steady footing, so he's my ultimate ball carrier man, isn't he?

[00:13:58]So, we get the ball to him.

[00:14:01]And I could have done this a bit better, right? This guy could have been there.

[00:14:07]Or maybe this guy could have been there or something.

[00:14:10]Would have probably helped.

[00:14:12]Um but I didn't really I didn't really envision it all. It was a It was a very scuffed turn. This was This should have been one of those turns where I thought a bit more before doing it, you know?

[00:14:21]Think about who's going to be ready to react and make screens and stuff.

[00:14:26]So, if I'd done it a bit better, I could have had like two more players, right?

[00:14:28]And then with two more players this gets much more locked down.

[00:14:37]But instead it's not very well done.

[00:14:41]And he just has to do a what? A three two to hit me with wrestle.

[00:14:51]Three two two. He's got to dodge through with this guy.

[00:15:00]But that would have been a lot better if this guy had been there.

[00:15:08]I mean, you can just see how bad it is, like if I had two more players it would have been much harder for him.

[00:15:37]And he fails the dodge and he goes to this one. I mean, of all the places to go to.

[00:15:43]Uh that was kind of annoying because I you know what I wanted to do was like this guy blitzes him.

[00:15:51]And then one of them picks it up and gives it to him, isn't it? That's what I want to do.

[00:15:56]But uh unfortunately I've got to blitz him.

[00:16:02]None of these can reach anywhere, so I might as well three dice the surf.

[00:17:05]I wonder, honestly if because people know about going around the outside I wonder if it's better to move this guy up there and then like move these guys forward somehow. There's got to be like a better a better defense against it, hasn't it?

[00:17:29]We need to We need to like work out the best anti anti one turn defense because people have cottoned on to the fact that you can use the big dipper.

I shouldn't have done it. I should just stay in the way. No, I could I can play defense with nine players, right? I shouldn't have done what I did. But But now at this point, losing four players, I'm like, if I play even worse, um he might be encouraged to score early and go for the win.

[00:26:05]Um you know, I'd done a line in the center, given him the sidelines, and make him work for it a bit instead of just basing up like an idiot and losing two more.

[00:26:17]I mean, I'm still unlucky, of course.

[00:26:34]So I've still been unlucky on the removals front, but there was no need to give him those hits. That was bad play to give him all those hits.

[00:27:54]Now what I should have done here is what I should have done here is I should have stopped, taken a minute.

[00:28:06]If it was on Blood Bowl 3, I could have used, you know, a minute of time bank.

[00:28:10]If I was on a clock in tabletop, I end every game with like 20 minutes left on my side, right? So I could just I should have just thought, "How do I win from here?"

[00:28:22]And I can win from here. This is the craziest thing, right? I just thought I didn't think. I just thought, "Oh, I'll run down here, you know, two more squares, and then I'll try and get something in the way." And I just I just didn't think.

[00:28:34]If I'd thought, he goes seven eight rush rush, right?

[00:28:42]So he stood here.

[00:28:45]That's where he can go. I should have thought, "Where can he go?

[00:28:48]7 8 rush rush, that's where he can go. I mean, he could he could even go there.

[00:30:10]So, the thrower there, and then this one like does a 3 3 2.

[00:30:42]I've literally just won if this if this turn happens. So, this is a good thing about taking a minute to think, plan out your turn. You know, with a tabletop you could get your dice out, couldn't you?

[00:30:53]You can mark the pitch and fumble, right? I could have just I could have I could have marked the field with an X of where he's going to be. I could have marked, you know, where everyone else could have come with a corner cut, without the corner cut. 1 2 3 4 5 6 rush rush. He can get there without the corner cut, can't he? That might be good enough.

[00:31:11]So, like it's better if you could score in it, but it's an extra three, isn't it?

[00:31:15]So, I probably don't even cut the corner there, which then this guy is there and that's a bit stronger. Or he could be there.

[00:31:22]And it's just like you just got to think about that. I should have really thought. I should have really really thought that turn.

[00:31:28]Like obviously I'm I've given up a bit, right? I'm on seven players. And I've played crap for two turns in a row. So, I've kind of given up a little bit. I don't really care too much about the game. But the thing is I do What happens with me is I don't care about the game and then immediately I care loads that I haven't won.

[00:31:44]>> [laughter] >> It's really weird. I care a lot more after the event than I do during the event. Like here I'm spending all this time on how good this turn could have been and how bad it was. And it's like I don't think that much in the turns and then I regret them for a long time afterwards. So, I'm going to try I'm going to try and give myself a minute to think sometimes.

[00:32:04]Um but yeah, I just brainlessly run forward and don't rush cuz there could be a snake, right? I don't want to roll snakes I don't have to roll.

[00:32:11]But it turns out See, I didn't rush there. I just moved him across.

[00:32:20]And I didn't think these dice were going to work. You know, he didn't have dodge of this one.

[00:32:26]And then I don't reroll that.

[00:32:28]Because even if I'd rolled it, right?

[00:32:30]That was about five to there, six.

[00:32:33]Rush to there. He's not doing anything, right? Cuz I did I didn't have I didn't have the forethought to make a com- a complete web. So, now it's really easy for me to get me. He's got frenzy and wrestle.

[00:35:49]And then he 2 2s to score. Like it's super easy touchdown. Very very very likely to get the counter score there.
