Tucson woman released from Ice detention

[00:00:00]A Tucson woman detained by federal immigration officers earlier this week has now been released on bond and only hours ago. News4 Tucson spoke with Congresswoman Adalita Graalva who says she still wants answers from the Trump administration. Carla Toledo, who was detained by ICE earlier this week, posted a $1,500 bond yesterday and walked out of the ICE detention facility in Eloy. Her immigration case continues.

[00:00:38]That is not the bond that you put on a high criminal. That is this administration acknowledging that they did something wrong. What happened? Why did they enter her home without a warrant? All of those are are things that we need to understand because I don't want people that are here legally in this country to be afraid to go out of their homes. According to ICE, Toledo was arrested after allegedly entering the United States illegally back in 2024 and officials claim she assaulted an officer while federal agents were conducting an immigration operation. And ICE released a statement that says in part, quote, "During the operation, Toledo assaulted a law enforcement officer, a felony and crime that was attempting to apprehend another individual." End quote. But Toed's attorney, Mo Goldman, says those claims are false. Goldman saying Toed came to the United States with her parents when she was just one.
