Arrived Just in TimeAdded:
Well, I guess today's the day. The uh the guys for the carport are here already. I had I thought they supposed to be here like at 9:00. It's not even 7, but it's raining a little bit, so they're right in time. The rain's not going to be here long. We'll see if I can't get them situated real quick.
We'll get this thing going.
What is seems to be the problem with you today?
Go up there right now and get in that shelter if you want to. All you got to do is go.
LJ is acting very very aggressive to these guys building this building and I hear him and I don't know why.
LJ, he's being very, very aggressive this morning. It's kind of It's kind of freaking me out a little bit.
>> Yeah. Get out of here.
>> I think I think the problem is is that It's starting to kind of rain a little bit. I think he wants to get up here in this shelter and he sees that all the horses are pinned up and he's uh he's mad. He's just absolutely throwing a fit. He's mad and he's causing everybody else to get mad down there.
But that was a little bit scary at first. This guy, this poor guy in a red shirt, man. He like looked at him and come up close to him like kind of freaked me out a little bit to be honest. It's like, Lord, this is all I need. They're back there just running now. They're back there just running.
You can't see can't see them, I don't think. But there they went down the down the fence line. Crazy crazy.
The goats are all up in They're Well, some of them are up in the house, some of them are down playing.
Yeah, you'll be okay. You got You're good. Y'all are getting a new shelter, girls. Y'all are getting a new shelter.
Oh, and boys. Sorry. Y'all are getting new house, a bigger house, a better house. What do you think? What do y'all think? What do you say, Creek? Come here, Creek. Come here, Creek. You're a pretty boy.
Buffy's trying to act a little bit bad this morning, wasn't you, Buffy? Trying to show out a little bit, huh? Trying to show off a little bit.
Not my pretty girl. Shy, though. Not shy.
All right. Well, here we go. We got it coming up.
These guys couldn't get their truck all the way in here with a long trailer, so they're having to kind of tote this stuff a little bit further than normal.
Uh, not too too far, though. It's maybe, I don't know, 100 ft or so. Not too too bad.
Hopefully, this rain will hold off a little bit for their sake and for the animals sake until their until their shelter's done.
Well, anyway, it is going We are going to get some rain tonight, so we'll see how they use it.
I got miracle up there. Probably going to try to get out later, but we'll see.
All right, here we go.
Pretty boy, I need you to stop looking at her.
That's what I need. I need you to stop looking at her. That's off limits.
That's off limits.
You know, when we get this all built, I'm going to be so happy because I'll be able to actually shut off some of these gates right here and not let the animals I I can use these stalls up here for like emergencies or, you know, something like that. But all this old horse poop and cow poop, it's all up here by where we come out and feed animals every day and all that kind of stuff. that's all going to be able to go away. Uh the animals won't have to be up this close to the house anymore, which make things a lot better uh for us up around the house, especially flies and just general mess that we won't have to walk through every day. And so it'll be actually be a lot better, I think, to have have all this stuff going freedom when you come out to feed instead of uh trampling through everything.
So, I want to be these guys are getting an experience this morning. I tell you, I seen I seen them over there taking videos of the horses and everything. I think they're pretty pretty impressed with little with the little mini farm so far. All the horses up here watching them and everything. I think it's pretty cute actually. They were taking some pictures and videos earlier.
Then of course they're out here laying all their stuff out and the guiney's come flying overhead just like looking up like welcome to farm life. They got it today that's for sure. Had to help me run the goats out of here so I can get into that pasture.
I better go find Miracle before she got out. Dad will be mad at me.
Me and Lou had this thing. There's our steak. There's the end.
Hey, we had this thing so close already for him. He didn't have to do much measuring.
These guys know what they're doing.
That's for sure.
They know what they're doing.
Getting it level now.
What you looking at?
Always looking to see if it's straight all the way down.
Yeah, I may need a few more bricks. I only brought five.
Not All right, rain. Hold off a little bit.
They don't have room up yet.
These guys definitely getting it over here.
Just keep in mind this building ain't the big surprise today. There's more coming in this one. This is not going to be it. I promise you don't want to miss this one.
Well, it's coming right along.
I mean, coming right along. Gables are up on each end.
Now, below the gable, there'll be a foot and a half panel that comes down. That'll help with, you know, blowing rain. And there'll be a foot and a half panel on each side coming down.
That's going to be nice, nice, nice.
Give those animals some cover.
Very nice.
That guy's very, very brave.
>> I'd be on my hands and knees, too.
Fixing to move on with her now.
I may not know what you're saying, but long as they can communicate.
>> So, Miracle was in here earlier.
I don't know where she went now. She's probably down here in this pasture somewhere. I probably need to go find her.
Found her.
I found her.
And she's too big to get underneath there where she go. I doubt I'll be able to take her. I doubt I'll be able to drive her back to where she's at and then beat.
We'll see.
Um, excuse me. You're not supposed to be out here.
You're not supposed to be out here. Come on now. Move out. Come on. You're not supposed to be out here.
You just kind of go. You just kind of go. Go. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Go. You're all where you ain't supposed to be. Come on. Do not step on that metal either.
Keep keep it moving. Keep it moving.
Keep it moving. Do not step on that metal. Do not step on that metal. Go.
Get. Get.
Go around it. Don't step on it. Go. Come on. Hey. Go. Go. Let's go. Come on. Move on. Move on.
Move. Hey. Come on. Keep going. Hey.
Hey. Come on. Keep going. Keep going.
Keep going.
All right. Keep going. Come on. Keep moving.
Keep moving. Keep moving. Keep moving.
Keep moving.
Now turn.
Get in there. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go.
Go. Go. Go. Go. Come on. Come on. Get get.
Every time I come look at it, it's uh it's more and more complete.
Looks like just the uh >> just the foot and half fields down >> and we'll be there pretty good.
Looking real good.
That's going to be nice covered area.
Nice little river bike.
>> That's going to be nice. Hilarious.
These sides coming down this far is going to stop a lot of blowing rain, >> which is good. And the gables will stop the blowing rain from the ends.
It's going to stay nice and dry under here. Nice and dry.
We ain't that worried about cold yet. Uh we got a little time to figure out if we really need to block it.
They're finishing up. But man, this is a good high roof. This is going to keep them cool in the summertime. Keep it dry in the rain.
This is This is awesome.
This is awesome. When they're finished out, they look they end up being a whole lot bigger than you think they are. So, I still think uh my plan is going to be to build one stall per per opening. That gives me five stalls for the horses.
And if I make them, this is 20 foot wide. I think I'm only going to make these stalls eight 8 foot long.
So, let me just see. Three, six. That's about right here. So, basically, this over here will be stalls for the horses.
This bigger section over here wants to be open for the cows or for whoever wants to get in here when it's raining or just to kind of take a break.
Um, yeah. I think that's what we're going to do. I think that's going to be good. I'm going I think we're really going to like this.
Uh, what's the matter? Y'all checking out? You You're checking it out. Is it okay for y'all?
Is it going to be okay? Are y'all going to like it? All right.
If y'all are happy, I'm happy. girls and boys. Sorry. There you go. That's how you're going to walk in there, buddy. Just like that.
Yep. That's how it's going to be done.
Y'all check it out all you want to. All right. You ready to act right? Come on.
Let's go. Come on. Let's go. Let's go.
Come on.
Go right back that direction. There you go. Move on. Move on.
Move on. Keep going. Keep it going. All that trouble you caused this morning.
Go. Go. Keep keep going. Keep going. Get out. Get out.
All right. Well, we got the trailer loaded up one more time.
Uh, one more delivery to make or should I say delivery to go get.
Well, there's something back there in that trailer.
There is something back there in that trailer.
Uh, we'll have to figure it out when we get home what we got going on.
But I'm pretty dang excited.
Pretty dang excited. So, you can't go anywhere yet. You got to stick around.
What y'all looking at? Huh?
What are y'all looking at?
What's everybody curious about?
What's everybody curious about?
>> Hi, pretty girls.
>> Well, one thing I will say is I just noticed that uh pretty boy just bred uh >> Come on, LJ.
>> Well, whatever her name is.
Uh, >> Betty Lou.
>> Betty Lou again. So, either she didn't take the first time or not sure what. What's up, pretty girl?
Are y'all so excited, too? Are y'all so excited? You got new friends fixing to get out of this trailer, >> huh? You think you got new friends fixing to get out?
>> She said, "Open the door."
>> Well, you got to be patient. Peek right here, Buffy. You can see right here.
>> Be patient, Buff.
>> Come peek right here, Buffy. Come here, Buffy.
Look, you can peek right here.
LJ was so acting so mad earlier when those guys were out here building that carport. He was acting I don't know.
>> I mean, he was like bowed up to him like in the middle of field like mad >> out in my field. Yeah, he was so mad.
>> Hey, LJ.
>> He looks like he's want to bow up to us right now.
>> He's coming up here like he's on a mission.
>> What's up with you? Huh? Besides, we need to get the flies off of you.
>> No joke. Look at his head.
>> I sprayed all the horses earlier today.
>> Gosh.
>> Yeah, flies are bad right now. I need to get them up in the in the stalls for sure.
>> Yeah.
>> All right.
>> All right. Here we go. Lou, open the gate. We got I went and seen Oh, Miss Shaye Shelton again.
calling him to come on.
>> He's calling them out.
>> That is awesome.
>> Look at him. There you go, girls.
>> They are supposedly She don't know exactly. Look at Opal Rose in there.
>> Making sure. Yeah, look at her.
>> They are supposedly uh between a year maybe and a year and a half old.
One's a little bit older than the other.
We're We're guessing.
>> That is my boyfriend.
>> I didn't want to video over at Shay's again, guys. I just don't like putting the camera in other people's faces, but she has such a cute little little mini zebu farm over there.
LJ, calm down, buddy. They're brand new here.
Okay, they're We know they're going to be yours. It's okay.
They're going to be yours.
Everybody's hurting them.
>> Poor things.
>> Yeah. Poor girls. Ruby.
>> Ruby, >> back out.
>> Gracious. You're the worst one.
>> What is Ruby doing? Lord have mercy.
>> What do you think, Bubby girl?
>> Bubby's like, they ain't horses. I don't care.
>> Funny know, huh?
>> Yeah.
LJ, it's going to be okay, buddy.
They're going to be here forever.
They're going to be here forever, LJ.
>> See you kicking.
>> Yeah.
Okay, there we go. They're pretty They're pretty little heers, man.
>> Yeah, Ruby.
They should be about Ruby's age. I think they're about the same size as Ruby.
Maybe a little bit taller.
>> We got to get LJ in there and sprayed.
>> Yeah, Opal's not like that. Nor is Ruby.
>> I wonder why.
>> The horses were pretty bad this morning when I until I sprayed them.
>> Nasty girl.
>> Um, >> you don't think they're in heat?
>> Well, I know what he's doing, but he's Oh, just a boy.
LJ, it's the first minute. It's the first minute they got here.
Ruby, what are you trying? You trying to help him.
>> What is Ruby doing?
There you go, Ruby. Now you got a friend.
There you go. Meet your friend.
Let LJ go do his thing.
>> Stop.
>> What?
>> You don't have to keep saying >> No, I don't mean that. I just mean let him go down there or something.
>> Buffy, come here.
>> Did you know that that he can breathe shy through the fence?
>> What?
>> Did you know that he can breathe shy through the fence?
>> Who told who told you that? I don't know who said that, but somebody said that.
>> But he can breed her through the fence.
>> You can still breed her through the fence, D.
>> Well, if that if that happens, then I guess she just going to get bred. I ain't never even heard of anything like it before in my life.
LJ, how far you going to go with her?
>> Where she go?
>> Are they up past that other fence?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, goodness gracious. Alive.
All right. So, I just confirmed with Lou what we're going to do here.
Um, we are going to come with a solid three rail board fence from this end to this end. And that will be all of the cows the the cows feed troughs there. Um, we're going to have a 12t this is 25t long. have a 12x 25 opening for any animal that wants to get into it. Straight down through here. Loose, get over just a little bit. That way, right, stop right there. So, all this between Lou and the thing, this will all be just straight opening. We'll have another fence running down through here from where I'm at, uh, where my finger's at to Lou. That's going to be the horse stalls. Every horse will come into its stall through its own little gate right here. So it'll be one horse stall coming in here, one horse stall coming in here, one horse stall coming in here, so on and so forth. That'll be five horse stalls. And they'll have a this is these are 5 foot openings. So they'll have a 5ft by 8 foot.
>> I guess the horses can just step over this, huh?
>> Yeah, they can step over that no problem. They'll have a fi five foot by eight foot stall to get into with these sides like this. That should keep most all blowing rain out. I mean, if it's a hurricane, maybe not, but a regular rain, this is going to keep all the blowing rain out.
>> Come here.
>> Um, and of course, they'll have all this area over here to get to as well. You know, if it's raining or they just want to get out of the rain, they don't have to go into a stall. They can just uh mingle in here or whatever, you know.
So, anyway, I think we got a pretty good layout. I'll get started on that.
ASAP.
>> Um, >> need some chairs out here.
>> Need some chairs out here.
>> Yeah.
>> But look what I was telling everybody earlier, what I'm really excited about.
I think once we do this and get this ready, everything up in this lot area up in here is going to go away. So, there'll be no more poop in there.
There'll be chickens maybe, but we're not going to let all the animals come up in those stalls unless we need them in there to work on them or something, you know, and that'll keep all that pretty clean, right?
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah. We can get rid of all that hay right there piled up that I hate.
>> Yeah. Get rid of all that stuff in there. Make it a lot cleaner for us to come out here and and feed and stuff like that. You know, >> that poor little building's just all >> building. That one right there.
>> The chicken. Oh, this little building with a chicken cube on it.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. That's a little beetlejuice looking.
>> It's okay, though.
>> It works.
>> It's farm knife, baby. It is >> It works for us.
>> My chickens love it. Yeah, that's right.
They sure do. Anyway, I'm very excited.
Hey, baby girl, come on in.
>> So, Rose, >> come on in so you can get out of the rain in here later cuz it's going to rain later. May as well get used to it.
>> Yep.
>> May as well get used to it. And for everybody that's talking about you're going to need to wall it in for the cold, you need to wall in for the cold, guys. It gets like it gets cold here for like a week out >> out of the year. Um, so I'd rather it, you know, if I had my choice, I guess I'd rather it be cooler in the summertime than warmer in the winter time because these animals are they're built for outside. I mean, they got fur.
I mean, they got uh leather jackets on.
>> I know you're upset, Opal. Make friends.
Make friends with the new girls. All right. So, let me tell y'all real quick.
We don't have names yet. We promised Friendly Grace.
Matter of fact, go and take a picture.
Go ahead and take a picture with my phone. We told Bren Grace we take a picture. We promise her she can name the next animal >> that comes. She got the name. She got to get the name one.
>> I'm pretty sure she's going to come up with a name for both of these girls.
>> But I'm I told her it can't be silly.
Brimley Grace, they're very pretty.
They're very pretty little little heers.
Man, that one on the right hand side is my favorite. She's so slick. Just pretty slick. Great.
the other one with the longer horn.
She's uh she's gray, but she's got a little uh little I don't know what that like the one that LJ keeps messing with.
She's little colored up on her side a little bit. But I really really really think that one right there is beautiful.
>> I see you, girl. Right in my face. I know.
>> Always somebody's out here. She got to be there.
Look at little Trey. Hey, Trey. Getting to know him.
>> Making friends.
>> Oh lord. Where's Buffy going?
Buffy, don't start. No trouble.
>> Probably ready to eat.
I'm sorry about the wind, guys.
>> LJ, cut it out for Pete's sake. She's obviously not interested right now.
All right, guys. We're going to get some feeding done. Hope y'all like the building. We love it. Uh there going to be a lot more to come on this thing as we get these stalls built and open area.
He's saying it's time to eat.
>> Everybody said it's time to eat. All right, we got to get some feeding done, guys. Catch you on the next one.
