APRIL FAVOURITES & WHAT'S NEW IN MY WARDROBE

[00:00:00]Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. I hope you're all doing really well. For today's video, I am back with a monthly favorites and what's new in my wardrobe. I used to film these pretty much every month, and I haven't filmed one in I feel like it's going to be coming up for about a year now, and I've missed filming them, so I thought we'd bring it back. Despite not filming one in quite a long time, I haven't got that many favorites. I didn't want to like overwhelm you with like loads of different makeup and skincare and loads of different bits. I've just picked out a few bits I'm loving at the moment. Um, and I've also got some new in fashion bits to show you as well that I think you're going to love. As usual, everything I feature will be linked below in the description box. Any questions, leave a comment. I will get back to you. But I'm going to get straight into it. And I'm going to start off with the lip combo that I'm wearing now because I know that that is usually one of my most asked questions, what lipstick I'm wearing. So, this is today's lip combo. This I've had for ages. Well, not this one in particular, but I've used this product on and off for years. Um, but this is a new discovery. So, we're going to start with this one. It is a lip liner. It is a Rimmel lip liner. I think I paid about between three and four pounds for this from Amazon. Um it is in the color Spice and it's a little bit darker than what I would usually go for. When I first when it first arrived, I tried it with no makeup on and it was too um it just didn't look right without makeup on. But once I got makeup on and bronzer, I feel like it's a really lovely color. Um like I said, slightly slightly kind of like darker than my usual lip liner, but you only need a really little bit. It applies really nicely. Um, it's not like super creamy, so it doesn't blend that well, but because it's a bit more of like a dry formula, it lasts so well. As I mentioned, I'm wearing this in shade spice, and it's kind of like a dark pinky nude. Um, but I am going to try a few of the other colors in this um, lasting finish lip liner because, like I said, it it lasts really well. Um, and I've just got it on today with a good old classic favorite of mine that I've been loving again recently, and it is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Gloss. This is just such a nice gloss.

[00:02:02]It's like it's it lasts really well.

[00:02:04]It's quite thick, but it's not sticky.

[00:02:06]It feels really comfortable. Almost feels like a little bit like a thick balm. Um, and it's got like a slight peppermint taste to it. Well, not taste, but like a peppermint um scent to it.

[00:02:16]So, you can kind of feel a little bit of a tingle, but not too much. like some of the tingling lip glosses can be a bit uncomfortable. It doesn't feel uncomfortable. It's just got like a little bit of a tingle for that plumping effect. Um, and I think it looks really nice with this lip liner. It's just a lovely shade of nude. Can you see what I mean? If I put them next to each other, they just complement each other really well. Um, and again, like last well together, especially considering it's a gloss. Like these can last a good few hours, which for me is good. Sticking with makeup and actually a very similar tone to the other two products. This is a blush that I have been loving again recently. I've had this for ages, but I've just started using it again daily.

[00:02:54]Um, and this is the YSL Make Me Blush liquid blush in the shade blush. No, blush liquid is it shade? Shade 37. Um, and again, like that's this one here.

[00:03:07]You can see they're all a very similar pinky peachy nude color, aren't they?

[00:03:11]They like work really well together. I just think this is such a good blusher.

[00:03:15]It is obviously being YSO, it is on the pricier side, but I have had this for such a long time and I've used it on and off for well over a year. It's got to be like a couple of years now. And I can't tell how much there is in there, but there still feel that there's quite a lot of product in there. You only need a really little dot and it blends out really nice. It lasts really well. Um, and just a really lovely shade as well.

[00:03:36]I think it's a really like flattering peachy pinky blush. Love that. Now, I haven't actually got any skincare favorites to show you because I've been trying out a few new products recently, and I feel like I haven't tried any of them long enough to really kind of notice a difference. Um, but one thing I feel like has made a difference to my skin is this pillow. This is the Omnia Sleep and Glow Pillow. And I actually started using this when I was pregnant with Pixie. I've always been a back sleeper. And obviously, when you're pregnant, you have to sleep on your side. And I feel like I noticed a difference to like how scrumpled I looked in the morning. You know, when you first wake up and where you're kind of like sleeping, you just look a bit like puffy and scrumpled up where you've been like sleeping against a pillow. And a lot of wrinkles and obviously puffiness is caused by sleeping like repeated pressure sleeping heavily on a pillow. So like with a regular pillow or I'm just going to use this cushion, but you know, you get the idea. like a regular pillow where your face is kind of like that it just sort of like puts so much pressure and over time that repeated pressure can cause sleep wrinkles. So they kind of like are more of like a vertical wrinkle kind of like round by your eyes on your forehead and then like these folds like these wrinkles you get here as well. And so with this pillow, instead of your face being like squished into it like a regular pillow, it has these like dip areas either side that your face just kind of like sits it almost like cradles your face. So you can see that your skin is kind of like floating on it rather than like being squished onto it. Since using this, I have genuinely noticed a difference. Like when I wake up and look in the mirror, I definitely look less crumpled. I look less puffy. And hopefully it will prevent any more wrinkles being formed. It's actually the only brand that has clinically proven results. So research was done in a Barcelona based clinic and wrinkles decreased in 87% of patients. It was designed by orthopedist. So it ensures that you have the correct body position while you're sleeping. So you know sometimes when you wake up and you've slept a bit awkward like before if I'd slept on two pillows instead of one, you just have like an achy like an achy neck or like an achy shoulder. Whereas this makes sure that like your body position is properly aligned. So any like neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, it just makes sure everything is properly aligned while you're sleeping, which obviously makes such a difference to how you feel when you wake up as well. Um, but yeah, it has definitely been a favorite for me recently and will continue to be so and hopefully make me age like a fine wine. Okay, while we're on the topic of protecting our skin and preventing wrinkles, next up is an SPF.

[00:06:22]I feel like all of a sudden it's gone from winter to summer and it's sunny all the time. And obviously, I mean, I know you need an SPF all year round, but in particular, this for me in the summer is so handy. It's actually an over makeup mist, so I'll always apply SPF under my makeup anyway. But this is so handy for just topping up during the day, especially on holiday. Um, but even at the moment in the sunshine, literally, you just spritz it over the top of your makeup. It's SPF 50 and it just, yeah, just protects your skin. And I just think it's really handy to have in my bag. Um, and yeah, just a really handy top up of SPF. Okay, next up, another product I've been loving is this Tanologist Instant Tan and Illuminator.

[00:07:06]I love fake tan, but I've been using it less often recently since having the girls and obviously breastfeeding Pixie and like I can't wear it during night during the night because I breastfeed in the night and yeah, I just feel like I don't really want I don't ever want her touching me if I've got tan on. However, this is an instant tan. So, it basically just I've popped a little bit on my chest this morning just using my mitt.

[00:07:29]It kind of looks like a foundation. Just opening it away. I've got white jeans on, but it sort of looks like like a dark bronzer foundation. It almost looks a little bit orangey when you put it like that, but it just blends out so nicely and gives a really lovely natural glow. Um, I've only ever used it on my chest, but you can use it on your legs obviously. You can well, you can use it all over your body. Um, and yeah, I just think it's a really nice color and it just applies really nicely. It doesn't go streaky and I just think it's a good alternative to a tan. And I just checked online. It's actually under £10. I think it was was it SpaceNK or Look Fantastic?

[00:08:06]I think it was Look Fantastic. But anyway, I'll leave it linked, but yeah, under £10 and I think it's quite a decent sized bottle and I've been liking that a lot. Next up is a hair oil. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before in a favorites like last year or the year before. I have been using this for quite a while. Um, but I have literally just very nearly ran out. So, I need to get a new refill for this one. So, I thought it was a good time to mention it in a favorites. It's just such a good hair oil. It smells lovely. It's lightweight, but it makes your hair feel really glossy. Um, sorry if you can hear Pixie singing in the background. She's just laying on her playmat. But yeah, it's just such a lovely hair oil. It doesn't make your hair feel greasy or heavy or like it's just it's just so nice. It is a bit more on the pricey side, but it does last quite a while and it is very good. Okay, I've just got two more kind of like beauty favorites and then I'm going to see to my little girl and I will show you the fashion bits afterwards. First up, a fragrance that I've been wearing daily recently. It's the Joe Malone Basil and Naroli. I feel like this is such a lovely spring summer fragrance. It's so fresh. It's so Oh, it's just so lovely. It's really hard to describe. I feel like I feel like basil I feel like basil and aoli makes it sound like it would just be like it would smell like basil. I don't think it does. It just it's a little bit herby, but it's just lovely and fresh and clean and just smells oh smells so nice. And then a bit of a random one, but a good one. It is a foot balm or a foot cream.

[00:09:43]Basically, I had like some dry skin on my ankles and I said to touch EPD was the best way to get rid of it quickly.

[00:09:49]Obviously going on holiday soon. I wanted like I just wanted to smooth them and smooth my feet out. Um and they said to use a 25% ura cream. So I went on Amazon. This was the first one that came out and I ordered it and it's honestly I've used it about three four times and it's made a huge difference. My my feet feel so much smoother and softer. I don't know how it works. I think like um yeah, it it does actually say on there visible effect in 3 days and it genuinely does make a difference so quickly. Um so I think it's about a fiverr. It was about £5, maybe six at a push. Um but yeah, it's really good. I'm going to see to my baby girl and then I will come back and show you the fashion bits. As you can probably tell from the change of outfit, it is actually the following day now. I just didn't get a chance to finish filming this video yesterday. So, we're back the next day and I'm going to go through all of the what's new in my wardrobe bits. I've actually got more than I thought I had.

[00:10:45]So, I'm going to try and get through it quite quickly and not rabbit on too much. Um, but I'm going to start with some pajamas that I have been loving recently. These I actually got these for a holiday. I wanted a nice new pair of summery PJs, but I have already worn them. They are from Jer Avenue, and I just loved the print of print of them.

[00:11:06]And I went and set a closeup so you can see it better, but it's just like this beautiful subtle lilacy blue print with a with a pale green stripe running through. I just thought they were so pretty. They're very lightweight.

[00:11:17]They're very stretchy and they are very comfortable. I think they are liasel.

[00:11:22]Yeah, 94% liasel and 6% elastane. So they're they're they feel like super silky smooth but with stretch to them as well. Um, and the pajama bottoms are the same. Stretchy waistband and like a wide regular leg as well. They're just so comfortable and so pretty and just a really lovely pair of summer pajamas.

[00:11:43]Next up are a pair of denim trousers.

[00:11:46]These are from Mango and I got these because I've been wearing my H&M ones so much. I don't know if you saw them in my H&M video or in any of my recent vlogs, but I've been wearing them so much. They are so comfortable. They're like a denim widelegg trouser. And these were a very similar style, like obviously like a darker blue and with the white stripe running through them. And I just thought they looked really nice, very comfortable, elasticated waist. Um, the only thing is is I might swap these for the extra small. I went for the small. I do like them loose, but I think I could probably size down to the extra small in these. I just think these would look lovely styled really simply with a white t-shirt, pair of trainers, or like a little sandal. Um, yeah, just a really nice pair of trousers. So, love those.

[00:12:29]Sticking with trousers. Next up are a pair of Adidas I was going to say tracksuit bottoms, but more like a like a track pant. I'd say these are I have just been seeing these styled up recently like on Instagram and I just think they give really kind of like cool mom vibes. Obviously, they look good on younger people as well, but I just love how they sty look styled really simply.

[00:12:50]Again, white t-shirt, trainers, little jacket. Um, and yeah, I just love how they look. So, I went for the brown because I thought they'd be good in the brown all year round. Like, I could wear them with like oversized jumpers. Even like the jumper I'm wearing now. They might look quite good. I don't know if I'll be cool enough to pull them off, but we'll give it a go. They come in so many different colors as well. Next up, this is definitely a very me top. I love this style of top in summer, spring summer. Um, it's in this gorgeous white broojon glaze fabric with like the cutout detail at the bottom. It's just so pretty. It's from Monsoon. I got it in a size small and I just think this styled with a pair of like light blue jeans again, tan sandals, tan bag or a basket bag. I think this would look lovely. So pretty. Um, and I like the high neck as well. Like it's got this gorgeous like little frilly detail on the neck. Okay, next up is a shirt. And I haven't actually tried this on yet. So obviously you can see it in the cutaways and maybe my facial expression will give it away. Um, but I just thought this was such a gorgeous color. So, it's kind of like a little bit sheer if you can see my hand through it. Um, and it's in that beautiful like a rusty terracotta and cream stripe. This with a pair of like cream trousers in spring would be lovely. I think cuz it's sheer could also look quite nice like styled over swimwear maybe. I don't know. I just thought it was really pretty and I'm kind of like um gravitating more towards shirts and like button-d down things at the moment obviously like easier for breastfeeding when I'm out and about. Um but yeah, anyway, I just thought it really really pretty and I ordered that in a size small and again that is also from Mango as well. Next up is this gorgeous white dress and I actually ordered this for my holiday but this is definitely the type of dress I would wear so much at home as well like back in England as well. Um it has just got the top half is in a really stretchy ribbed fabric just like a basic vest top basically and then the bottom half is this gorgeous like um kind of cheesecloth muslin fabric. It is double lined so not see-through and it kind of just puffs out a little bit in the skirt but like a very simple basic top. It's one of those pieces that you could definitely dress up or dress down like you could wear with trainers, you could wear it with sandals. Um, but you could e you could also dress up of an evening on holiday as well. I just love this kind of like style of dress. I've got one from Zara in black from last year.

[00:15:19]No, a couple of years ago now, I think that I've worn loads. Um, and yeah, I just thought that looked really lovely.

[00:15:27]Um, so I'm definitely going to pack that on holiday. Um, but just that even with like a little denim jacket over the top, I think that'd be really nice as well.

[00:15:34]And then sticking with holiday, I did actually get a couple of swimsuits. I've tried this one. Well, I say swimsuits.

[00:15:40]This is a bikini. This a swimsuit. I've tried this one on. I haven't that one yet. I probably won't show you these in the cutaways. I know that's annoying, but I haven't fake tanned yet. And I just don't really feel like putting on swimwear and filming myself in it right at this minute. But if like I mean I'll I'll probably be taking some pictures and showing them on my Instagram when I'm away as well. Anyway, first up is this bikini. And like I said, I have tried this on and it is so flattering on. So, the bottoms are like high-waisted. Hang on, which way round are we going? Um, yeah, they're like a high-waisted bottom, but they've also got this extra rooouched material over the top as well. So, they pull in you pull you in just at the right place on your waist, but then they've also got that material that doesn't like, you know, if you get bloated, it kind of just just just very flattering on. And I actually sized up in these. I went for a 10 in the top and the bottom um because I wanted them to be comfortable and yeah, they fit really nicely and love the style of that. Um and I just think sometimes like a high-waisted bikini bottom can be really kind of yeah, really flattering. And then this I saw on ASOS and loved it, but it does look very like highlegg, which I don't mind.

[00:16:56]My Hamza G1's quite highlegged and still really flattering and really comfortable. Um, but yeah, like I said, I haven't tried that on yet. So, I don't know. It does actually also look quite small as well. Like, it doesn't look doesn't look super stretchy, but it does look like a really nice shape. So, hopefully that will fit because I really do like the style of that. And it does also come in pink as well. Up is a bag.

[00:17:21]How pretty is that? I again, I ordered this for holiday. I thought it would be a really lovely evening bag, but I also think just for like weddings or like summer occasions that would be gorgeous as well. So, it does come with a long chain strap too. Um, so you can kind of wear it over your shoulder, but equally you can tuck that in and wear it as a clutch as well. Um, and I just think this would go with like any evening outfit on holiday, wouldn't it? It's so pretty. Um, I mean, the chances are it will just probably end up underneath one of the push chairs and not actually held, but I I thought I just I liked it.

[00:17:59]Okay, these aren't actually for me. They are for Lotty and Pixie, obviously, but I just had to show you these because how beautiful are these dresses and I got them matching just because I thought they were so pretty. I mean, of a of a on holiday of an evening matching dresses. I know Pixie is literally 4 months and doesn't need to be wearing dresses like this on holiday. And who knows if I'll even end up putting her in it. She might just be in like, you know, like comfy clothes. But I just couldn't resist it. I thought they were so so gorgeous. Lotty has actually tried it on already and she loves it. She kept saying, "I look dazzling." Like Lou ages ago instead of saying like, "You look pretty or beautiful," he said that she looked dazzling. And now she says it all the time. And she was just had her dress on and she was going, "I look dazzling.

[00:18:45]I look dazzling, mommy. So, she would be very excited to wear that on holiday.

[00:18:50]And yeah, I just had to show you these because even though they're not for me, they are so gorgeous. Um, and then I also wanted to show you this in case you missed my vlog where I unboxed this.

[00:19:02]This is my new Dlier bag and I have been loving this. I've used it every day since I got it and it's just Yeah, I just love it. It's so practical. It's such a good size and it's just gorgeous, isn't I think I might even be converted to the bigger size. Don't get me wrong, I still love the smaller ones I've got um of this the same bag but in the smaller size. I still love them. I still will use them loads. But just at the moment, this as an everyday bag to chuck loads in. It's just yeah, perfect. And I have been using it as a kind of changing, not changing nappy bag, but do you know what I mean? Just to have everything in and it's been perfect and I love it. I don't know if I take it on holiday with me or stick with like my basket. I probably will just stick with my basket bag, but love, love, love that. So, I thought I'd show you that in case you didn't see that. And then the final thing I have to show you are some trainers. And these are just gorgeous. They are a like a dusky pink suede gazelle. I haven't actually had gazels before. I usually go for speials or speials, however you say it. Um, but I saw these on ASOS and I just loved the dusky pink color. I thought they would be so lovely for spring summer. And I like the fact that they're pink but not like not like a bubblegum pink. They're kind of like a subtle pink with the white stripes.

[00:20:23]Hopefully they are as comfortable as gazels are because not gazels as my specials are because they are Yeah, they are super comfortable. Um, but they look a very similar style. They're just so lovely. I love the color of them and just again with like simple outfits, I think they will be lovely and add a little pop of color. And that is everything that is new in my wardrobe and all of my favorites this month or last month or just recently.
