Use This to Kill POOL ALGAE (Not Algaecide) ➡️

[00:00:00]Do you have a green pool? Well, don't reach for algaecide, because algaecide is just a preventative. It can slow down an early stage algae bloom. But, if your water's already green, well, it's time to use chlorine shock. Now, cal hypo shock is the strongest chlorine shock available, and it'll help wipe out that algae fast. If you have a saltwater pool or a fiberglass pool, well, then cal hypo can cause some issues. So, I would use dichlor shock or liquid chlorine instead. And I recommend, no matter which type of shock you use, add the shock at night so that the sun doesn't burn it off before it has a chance to work. Run your filter for the next 24 hours, and clean it if you notice the pressure going up. After the algae dies, your water's probably going to look and turn cloudy blue. That's the dead algae.
