Achieving significant goals like completing an Iron Man triathlon requires consistent daily effort, humility in learning new skills, and maintaining a positive mindset despite challenges; the first step to becoming good at something is to suck at it initially, and showing up every day matters more than immediate results.

Nursing to Iron Man - episode 4 - Running 26 Miles!! (after training for 5 hours)Added:
Won't the devil got your hand for good luck to hold the honey roses.
Won't the devil got your hands for good luck to hold the honey circle close as she lies down. Reading the paper, reading the world right around and her eyes.
recall the sweet surprise of those who died that day.
Leaving a breathless, leading a hat to the grave.
Welcome back. Before we start, I promise I'm going to be posting three videos a week for the rest of my life. Unless I have some accidental death or something.
I promise on Buddha on Jesus on everyone that I will. I had super busy last week.
Um I've been working a lot and but yeah, so I I just finished with my swim. So swimming swimming has been the humblest thing so far. One because I don't know how to swim and I can't afford a coach or anything from this iron man. I'm just kind of coaching myself, running, swimming, biking the best I can, trying to afford the whole damn thing. I I bought groceries last night from like Target and Trader Joe's. Ended up being $300.
After I fill up my gas tank, it's like 50, bro. Like, thanks, America. Like, this economy is killing me right now.
So, I finished my swim. Swimming has been the most humbling thing so far, just because I don't know how to swim. I have my little pool toys that have been helping and it's just there's always a lot of old people there. There's this old lady. She's got to be like 70 years old, 80 years old and she just laps me every single time. We go at the same time every day. And let me say that one more time. I go every day. I have no idea how to do it, but I go every single day. And hopefully that's just the most important part is showing up every day.
But this lady, the first time I swam, she could tell I didn't know how to swim. So, she asked me to move over to a different lane so she could have my lane cuz she liked that lane better. And I guess she just figured I wasn't really using it well. But then eventually I went up to her and I was like, "Hey, you know, why don't you just help me out?
Give me some tips." So, she gave me a lot of tips, told me everything I was doing wrong, which was a laundry list of everything I was doing wrong. So, I think the most important part about swimming so far is just being humble.
Being okay with looking stupid, being okay with asking my new friend Joanne, 80-year-old lady, sweetheart, who's been helping me swim totally for free. So, whenever you don't know how to do something, you're always going to suck at it. But the first step to being good at something is sucking out.
>> Dude, sucking at something is the first step towards being sort of good at something. at it. So yeah, winners like all these winners we admire are just the people that failed the most times. If you ain't failing, you ain't trying. And I've been failing my whole life. So now we have a run out of the pool. So I'm going to get this run in. It's kind of a dark and gloomy day, but I do have to take an exam at 12:00. It's 9:00. So hopefully I go super fast.
to face the heat.
Everything is beeping. It's not good.
But at least it's still running. This is the towel I brought for the pool, but I'm literally dripping in sweat. Don't look at my hairline. Whenever I get back from Turkey, I don't want to hear it.
Hold on. My mom texted me. Clean your room.
Okay. Anyway, it's 10:30. I have to take an exam at noon, so I need to hurry up and get home, change, hopefully shower.
But 10 mile run. I wanted it to be 13.
So, I'm super super disappointed, not going to lie. But I didn't have time. If I would have finished the run, I would have missed my exam. So, and telling them I'm training for an Iron Man probably wouldn't have been a good excuse. But it's a By the way, Chris Apple Bloom, highly underrated. Try this thing. So, I'm going to get home, change, and then take this final.
All right, we made it home. It's about 20 minutes to spare. I'm going to eat before my exam. Uh, it's too late to study, so I'll probably just watch some anime for motivation.
All right, guys. I have some chicken and rice. This fire sauce, bro.
Walmart.
This little baan sauce. Walmart has so many cheap fire sauces. I have a lovehate relationship with the Walmart cuz everyone there is like an NPC and you know I just wish I could shop at Whole Foods or something. But you just can't beat the prices. Even though groceries are so freaking expensive nowadays, but the sauces, like the healthy sauces, there's so many zerocalorie just fat-free sauces. And I have like 10 of them. I'll have to show you. I got a bagel, some chicken, potato. Hella carbs, low fat. Carbs are fuel.
All right. I got a bagel, some chicken, and a potato. Hella carbs. Trying to keep fat low, carbs high, cuz you use carbs for energy. And all the cardio I'm doing, I'm burning carbs like crazy.
Apparently, that's what all the research says. So, and fat's just for hormone production, like testosterone and estrogen, but you don't need a lot, and it really doesn't help with fuel or looking jacked. So carbs high, protein high. Always keep your protein super high. Bro, there's nothing wrong with hella protein. One, it's the most satiating, so it keeps you full. Two, it doesn't convert the fat. You just don't convert protein to fat. Chris Bumpstead ate like 300 g of protein on his prep before he got on stage and he's like the most shredded beautiful man of all time.
If you're hungry in a binge eating bear like me who's just starving all the time cuz you're just not you're just abnormal, up that protein gang. So, I'm going to watch some haiku, eat this, and then go take my exam. That did I study for my exam this morning? No. But I'm going to we're definitely going to take it and we're going to answer all the questions. I know that for sure. New energy drink drop. New bowl drop, the summer edition. I can't believe it's already summer. Where did this year go?
Oh my god. I need to do more. I need to make more memories. Lime. It's called sudachi lime. I don't know what sudachi is. Can someone tell me what sudachi is?
But guys, it's so good.
Won't the devil guide your hand for good luck to hold the honey circle rose as she lies down reading the paper reading the world right round and her eyes recall the sweet surprise of those who died that day leaving her breathless leading a hat to the grave.
J, you're early. Your life's work is dirty by the fools who adore you only to find only to find you out. They saw you dressing in the back room. Now they'll pay what they owe you.
podcast and I've been taking it every day since. H1 is to my knowledge the highest quality and most so much laundry. The hardest part about Iron Man training has been laundry.
Best part of my day.
I love a runny egg. I used to do scrambled when I was a kid, but when you grow up, you do overeasy.
If I'm talking low, it's cuz I have water in my ears from all the swimming.
I guess I should wear earplugs. But if you thought yesterday was boring, well, today's even more boring cuz I have work. But going to run before work, hopefully don't wake my mother up. And yeah, always start off the day with two things. One, water and electrolytes.
Two, positivity and gratitude.
Cuz it's always easy to be sad. It's always easy to pout. But it's hard to be positive and grateful, especially in tough situations. And hard things are the coolest things to do. So take my advice.
>> Okay, guys. Remember the first mile?
>> Always the hardest. I just read the book.
>> Sorry for my shaky camera.
>> He's on six.
26 miles down, guys.
Just woke up from a nap. I have a night shift. Before my shift even starts, I have 45,000 steps.
So, I hopefully I can have like hopefully I can like door dash some raising things or some [ __ ] I'm craving fried chicken, but it's silly because I just burned all those calories. I'm just going to eat it back and my weight's going to stay the same cuz I always make that mistake.
I'll work out really hard and like, oh, I deserve a treat and then I have a treat and another treat and I weigh myself in the morning and just I'm back where I started. It's like just running for no reason whatsoever. But I think I'm doing this Iron Man because quick update on my Iron Man training. It's been awesome. Um, I think I'm doing it just because I've never done something this hard before. And to be honest, besides social media and YouTube, it's all just [ __ ] I've honestly been a loser most of my life. I'm not just saying that to sound humble or anything.
I mean, I'm 26 now and I spent most of my life literally playing Valerant, Call of Duty, or just chasing short-term pleasure.
And it's so sad because the amount of work and dedication I've put into meaningless things like like Valerant or like just short-term gratification. I could be a freaking millionaire right now if I put that same effort into things that actually matter or long-term things. And to be honest with you guys, as I get older, I think about memories and things like that. And I don't have any really good memories I ever can recall. And that's just because I've squandered most of my time distracted. I haven't been present. I vlogged more hours on Twitch or just watching YouTube than I've vlogged in my actual life taking risk and being present. I've always had a negative mindset, too, because I grew up with a lot of problems and it's just me and my mom, you know? She's been a single mom just doing her best and it's put a lot of sadness and pressure on me.
But instead of working hard to take care of my mom and using all my many strengths and blessings to retire her and just be a great person, I let all the bad things that happened to me just make me a victim. Negative mindset. So, I've missed so many opportunities and wasted so many times just stuck in my negative mindset. Because if you have a negative mind, you're only going to see the negative and you're only going to attract the negative things. It doesn't matter how bad your life is, you have to build it from a place of positivity. And honestly, that's the most powerful philosophy anyone can have is just be yin and yang. Just be like water. Just go with the flow of everything. Don't sit good or bad is just in your head.
Every situation is neutral. It's how you react to it that matters. So, just have that strength and tenacity to just smile in the fire, dance in the waves, because there's always going to be waves, but you if you just learn how to surf and stay positive, your life is going to be amazing.
