[00:00:00]Jonah chapter 1 verse 6, as we saw previously Jonah's down below deck snoring as the storm hits and everyone's panicking. Let's see what happens next.

[00:00:23]Well, we begin with just the chi here is extending the scene. First verb here is from pros air kamai. That's going to be a third singular heiress active indicative. Someone is going to or towards and it's pros Alton. That is to Jonah. Now we find the subject here is the pro raeus. That's going to be the ships captain. The captain of the vessel. So putting all together and the ships captain went to him. So he's going down below deck and he said third singular heiress from Lego to him. T there that's going to be the nominative neuter form of the interrogative test. So why are you here? Hring case. So we saw that verb last time that's to snore. This is going to be the present active indicative second singular. Why are you snoring? So when he said to him, why are you snoring? Then he gives him two commands. Uh eris subjunctive, so it's the subjunctive length and ending there because of the hapos that makes it subjunctive. That's normal.

[00:02:13]Uh so, that god uh would rescue us. So, he doesn't say our god. He's still referring to most likely Jonah's god.

[00:02:21]Says, "Look, our god have failed. You call upon your god and maybe perhaps so that in order that, if you will." You can take that a couple different ways.

[00:02:29]He would save us with that accusative there, and then we would not be destroyed. Apolumi there. That's another subjunctive with the uh negator there.

[00:02:37]So, that we might not be destroyed or perish.

[00:02:42]And so, quite an interesting scene. Now, everyone's calling upon their own god.

[00:02:45]The captain goes and says, "Hey, Jonah, wake up. Why are you snoring? Rise up.

[00:02:48]Call upon your god so that we so that he, in other words, would save us." Name of your god. And we would not perish.

[00:02:55]So, quite an interesting scene. Uh here, Jonah 1:6.
