Spiritcars update 5/29-26Added:
All right, we're going to start the day in the glass shop. We have flanges on, well, temporary flanges.
>> Temporary flanges.
>> Well, sort of temporary temporary flanges.
So, you're going to putty the backside.
I've got it kind of taped on here where it goes.
Kind of button up to the end of this one.
So, we're going to putty all this along that edge and glass it on.
And then once it's glassed on a couple layers, you should have that today. I can pull it off tonight.
And then uh sand this side of it over here.
And then we put them back on.
>> And then we'll be ready for >> And then it's time to start building the back.
Getting there. Got to PVA it first.
The whole process. We got the top done already.
And then this should be close to done today, right?
>> Yeah. This is number four more.
>> Okay.
>> We're going to do You want two layers on it today or >> I'd put two double layers and be done.
Does it need four more coats?
>> Um Yeah, this is four, so >> Yeah, we Yeah, two more.
>> three with the one thin layer.
>> Is this today?
>> Yesterday.
>> This was last night.
>> It's still tacky.
>> That humidity makes a big difference.
>> Yeah.
>> So, kick it a little hotter.
>> That was hot.
>> Was it?
>> I was in the bucket kicking on us.
>> The bucket was kicking on us, but uh >> Really?
>> Matt didn't want to kick on time.
>> And we did that at like noon, it was still kind of tacky at 5:00.
>> Humidity is not a good thing.
>> No.
>> But it is what it is, and it's going to be humid today.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, I It's kind of a cool breeze, though. It's not humid humid. It's just So, all right, we got that going on.
The Jenny molds.
Kind of surprised a little bit Hershel's here cooking.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, I've told some people privately about Martha.
>> Yeah.
>> We have other people asking.
>> Well, I you for your prayers.
>> So, we we haven't told there's a lot of people follow you and know you.
>> Yeah.
>> Know about Martha. You want to tell them what happened?
>> Well, she she walked into the den after sleeping a couple of hours and she looked at me fixing to say something and just passed out like someone had shot her in the head.
Dropped her arms and fell backwards just hard on the floor. Broke her elbow and part of her arm up here. Cracked it.
>> Yeah.
>> Then I tried to revive her and her eyes were rolled back in her head and I finally felt a pulse and a short breath. I'm fixing to have to do CPR on her, you know.
Well, got her up.
Set her in a chair and her blood pressure was so low it didn't read the first time.
>> Wow.
>> Second time it was like 50 over 49 or something and finally they they came and they took her to the hospital. We got out of there Tuesday afternoon and they sent her home and [clears throat] regulated her blood pressure somewhat. Her valve mitral prolapse valve in her heart is bad and it's she's not able to withstand open heart surgery. So, they're going to try to get her into the hospital at Little Rock and do less invasive operation on her mitral prolapse valve. There's doctor there's done >> So, we're basically we're waiting till Wednesday now to know anything about what's going on.
>> tell us the news.
>> Okay, well.
>> So, thank you for your prayers everyone.
>> Uh >> Hopefully it all works out okay.
>> Yeah, and thank you for praying every one of y'all. God bless you. We we we know that the Lord is going to take care of you.
>> Yep, absolutely.
Now, back to cooking.
>> Yeah, we're going I took those pork tenderloins I've been cooking >> Uh-huh.
>> and I sliced them like pork chops and I'm trimming them up a little bit now.
Making them nice and lean and >> Yeah.
>> and we're going to batter them.
I'm going to dip them in buttermilk and then I'm going to season them and then and dip them in flour and we're going to fry them and eat them.
>> All right.
Casey's pretty happy now.
>> What's that?
>> Casey's happy now.
>> Oh, yeah?
>> Getting the door swinging.
>> Swing.
>> Swinging.
Just a swinging.
So, it's a mild day.
Sedan with uh standard hinges. A bottom hinge has to be out a little bit.
Otherwise, the door will swing down. So, you want the door to swing level as it's coming out.
So, that's what it'll do right there.
>> Go get them, Bob.
>> Well, you guys are getting serious.
>> Yeah.
>> Cleaning up without me.
>> Yeah, and this is our third box going down.
>> Cool.
I see you got the plungers done.
>> Yes. Yep.
>> That was cool.
>> Plank is done. The fourth box is done drying.
>> Well, we'll go check them check them out.
All right. Lots of putty. The white is all putty.
You filled that gap in really good.
So, I can sand it now.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, we're going to I'll have to add to that.
>> Okay. Push it back in.
You can push it all the way through.
>> That'll be all right. I can fix that. It must have pushed in this way some while you were doing it.
Cuz it's over there.
>> Oh, god.
>> It's over the tape.
But, that'll be fine.
>> All right. I can make it work.
>> You said I was trying not to move it.
>> Yeah, so once these dry hard it's still a little bit soft.
>> Yeah, yeah.
>> Monday I'll go ahead and take these off and uh have plenty of we can go ahead and PVA it and start building it back.
Gibby's at it.
So I don't know if this is a Heritage Bread Farms video or if this is uh Gear Cars video. It's kind of mechanical related.
>> Yeah.
>> But this is the uh Grass Hopper I got at the auction a couple weeks ago.
And we're doing uh we're just doing a serious maintenance on it. Going through the whole thing.
It's such a nice machine that uh we're just going to make it right and then uh probably sell it.
So it's the end of the day on a Friday.
They canceled races today?
>> Yeah.
>> No races?
>> Too wet.
>> Too wet. It we got some serious rain.
Are you working tomorrow?
>> Yeah.
>> I'll be >> boxes. I got beds.
>> Well, I'll be down here tomorrow too.
I'll be working on uh finishing up that C cab and doing some other things.
So with that all being said, you know what?
>> What time?
>> Think it's time to say goodnight, Gibby.
>> Goodnight, Gibby.
