The Arcane Chevron - Face Shape 1

[00:00:00]Let's start with my favorite, the arcane chevron. It's this tiny little shape in the interior of the eye. And yes, if you notice, just about every character in Arcane really highlights this shape.

[00:00:13]Now, what this really is is just this little flat valley resting between two curvy things. So, if the bulge of the eyelids is hill number one, and the bridge of the nose is another hill, this chevron shape is just the valley that sits between the two. I absolutely love this. It's one of those things that you can't unsee once you're aware of it. And I usually render this by painting in a brighter, more specular highlight or just by erasing away a bit of shading between two darker forms.
