This Smart Roof Tile Could Change Insurance Claims Forever. The SentinelAdded:
John, what do you got up here, man? This is the Sentinel Tile, the first ever solid-state weather monitor. Uh this has its own solar array. It has accelerometers and can tell you about any changes in environmental condition on an asset, and then it relays it to the user in real time. So, this has got a netted patent that's been issued, and we have device patents pending on the shape and on the functionality. Uh so, what you do is you would you mount this to a roof, any kind of roofing system.
Uh you mount it there, and it is powered by the sun. So, even if the power goes out, it's still going to be able to sense and relay, and we can detect wind speed, pollution, particulate size, mixed way, uh unauthorized human access, as well as what is important for a lot of us is hail impacts, including the approximate size and and magnitude of the hail. Nice. Um so, the this is going to help us prove claims, uh prove when and what caused the loss damage to property. It's also going to be really useful in the security industry. And And one of the neat things about this is that it's forward-compatible with LoRaWAN and any kind of information system. So, whether that's a Starlink satellite or Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or uh or the LoRaWAN, um it stays online. So, again, even if the power's down and the phones are down, this can continue to talk to the users at a distance and let them know what's going on with the asset. Uh so, I think it's going to be a game-changer for the property management industry, the storm response industry, and I think most importantly, the atmospheric researchers and underwriters. Uh cuz right now, uh even using NOAA data, the accuracy is at best 65%, and that's with satellite imagery, airport sensors, and trained spotters on the ground. So, this is going to be the first ever source of ground truth where we care about the weather, which is on on site, in situ, where the assets are.
Uh so, I think a really useful product.
Uh you can find out more by contacting us, and uh get get a copy of this. Uh get your a today.
So, show us how this thing works. All right. So, right now it's synced up to my phone, but any user that has it will put their own phone number in it. So, you'll tap it and it'll text you immediately.
A hail event has started. For demo purposes, right now it's set to 15 seconds. So, in 15 seconds it's going to say the hail event has ended. But, out in the field it's going to have a couple minutes.
So, when a hail storm is actively impacting it, anytime a hail storm impacts it, there goes the event just ended. And now we can see on the computer So, let me log back in.
You see the event on the dashboard here.
That's when I tapped it. That's when it ended.
So, if I tap it again, a new event has just started. I just got another text message.
So, it's up there.
Awesome. Thank you so much for showing me. Yep.
