[00:00:00]If you missed the announcement before, I'm headed down to Texas. I got an invite to the Klein headquarters. Now, this is a three-part kind of video here because first we like to do full disclosure, all right? So, if somebody pays me, sends me free products, or in this case flies me on a junket down to down to Texas, I want you to know about it cuz I want you to know about any kind of influence that's coming in that may affect my decision. I try to be very upfront about it. I try to to to see it, to understand it, to accept it, and and hopefully not have that sort of thing affect the way I feel. But, you be the judge.

[00:00:38]You're the one watching the channel, all right? So, I'm here telling you they're they Well, okay, they offered to fly me down there, but I'm a cranky old dude, so I said, "Eh, you know what? I'm driving."

[00:00:49]So, I'm driving down to Texas uh from Montana. Yes, I know. I'm crazy like that. Uh we're going to do a little junket afterwards. My daughter's driving with me. We're going to go over to New Orleans. The wife's going to fly in, and we're going to have a great like 3 days down there. It should be fun, and then the drive back. Uh so anyway, that that what I That's the first part. The second part is I want to hear from you what you've got to say to Klein. All right? Klein's flying us down there to talk about the tools that they have and the tools that are coming out.

[00:01:19]Of course, you can't talk about the tools that are coming out. You haven't seen them yet. I haven't seen them.

[00:01:23]Hopefully, I can show you all of them.

[00:01:24]I'll show you as much as I can. But, I want to give as much feedback to Klein as possible. What do you like that they're doing, and what do you like that they're not doing, all right? So, put that down below in the comments. As I said, I want to hear about that.

[00:01:38]But, I can't. And I'm not going to because third part I'm going deaf. Uh yeah, that's not a joke. I lost last week last Monday. I was sitting on the couch and the hearing in my right ear turned off like a light switch. I just went uh this morning to the hearing person and they put me in the booth and they did all these things. And uh at 120 100 120, somewhere around there, decibels I can hear what sounds like electrical wires touching in my right ear. And I've got tinnitus and all this other stuff, and it sucks. It sucks a lot. And they tested my left ear, which I thought, "Well, my hearing's fine in my left ear." Oh, no. No, cuz I'm old and I listened to rock music and I shot guns and all that kind of stuff.

[00:02:28]So, I've got about 20 to 25% hearing loss at the top end. Below the top end, like mid to low uh kind of uh stuff as far as as wavelength, you know, base base mid sounds. The treble's gone. Uh but the the mid to low is is pretty good still. So, everyday conversational kind of you know that's fine. But, what is going on is apparently in my right ear it They don't know right now. Uh I've got a referral with an ear, nose, and throat person. And they're going to they're going to dig into it. They're going to figure this out. Apparently, this happens to X amount of percentages every every year Americans they're sitting there and your hearing turns off. Uh there's multiple reasons why, but honestly in most cases, something like 92% of cases there's no known reason. It just happens. Isn't that special?

[00:03:22]Uh what you should know, if this happens to you get to a doctor quick because the window for really treating this is 72 hours.

[00:03:31]And I waited, which is 3 days, I waited 5 days because I had gone swimming the day before and I was at the hot springs and I I also have some post-nasal drip stuff, seasonal allergies. I figured it was just clogged either from the inside or from the outside.

[00:03:47]It was not. Uh they looked in there, they're like, "It looks perfectly fine.

[00:03:51]Can't see anything, you know, obvious."

[00:03:54]Uh they did the test and it's not the the eardrum's responding well. The bones behind the eardrum are are doing what they're supposed to do. So, it's something inside with the wiring cuz as my wife always said, I have a screw loose. So, apparently, she was right.

[00:04:09]Anyway, don't want to see this happen to you. I'm sharing this because a I may it may get a little I don't know how I don't you know, I'm talking to you. I think I'm hearing fine.

[00:04:21]Uh I'm clearly missing some stuff. My family now is every other word out of my mouth is, "What?" Um so, I want to hopefully have this not impact the channel, but I'm sure I will probably stumble over my words, something will be a little weird, things may take longer.

[00:04:38]I may miss things in editing because I just might not hear it. If there's some really high octave kind of stuff, if there's a high octave hiss or something like that tell me cuz I'm not going to hear it, and I'll have to have somebody come in and help me edit the video.

I just want you to know what's affecting the channel because you guys have been a lot of you have been long-time viewers. We've been doing this 10-plus years. [00:05:19]I'm excited. I've never been this far down in Texas. I've only gone I've gone gone through the panhandle. Uh I never could talk straight before anyway, so that's not going to change.
