This tutorial demonstrates how to create a game starting screen in Scratch by designing a play button sprite with text, adding a game title, and implementing event-driven coding where clicking the play button broadcasts a message to switch backdrops and hide the starting screen elements, while clicking the green flag shows the starting screen and switches to the initial backdrop.

Creating starting screen of a game in scratchAjouté :
Hello guys, welcome back to Scratch Tech. So today we are going to learn how to create a starting screen of a game.
Okay, so let's start. First we have to delete our sprite. Then go to backdrops and we can take any backdrop you want.
I'm going to go to patterns and take this light. And after that when we start our game there should be a button in which it should say play. So to do that we have to go to sprite and click on third option that is paint and then we have to create a sprite and you could change the color of the sprite from here. So I'm going to change the color to a little blue and this uh outline also we can change from here like this.
Okay. After you set your outline, go to squares and then drag a square like this.
Okay. After dragging the square, place it in the center. And then we have to go to text.
Yeah. Text from here and write. Oh, we forgot. We have to change the color to black again.
And then write play.
After writing play you can drag the size like this.
Okay, like this you can drag the size.
After this there should be a name to our game. So let's give a name to our game.
You can give any name you want. So I am going to give. Okay. So you have to create an another sprite from here. And then we have to write the name of your game in this. So again change the size to black. And right here I'm going to write clicker game. Last time I made a clicker game in this channel. If you want to see that video just subscribe to my channel and comment which video I should make next. Okay. So now we have to increase the size of this font. Click our game and then place it right here. Okay. So when the our game is start now it comes.
Click our game and play. So let's start coding. After this we have to go to sprite and codes and then say when green flag clicked.
Okay that is not necessary for now. For now we have to go to when this sprite clicked play uh uh broadcast message one.
Okay. So when this prize is clicked we will broadcast message one and we again have to go to this backdrops from here and take another backdrop in which your game would be there. So for clicker game we have taken the stars backdrop. So, and now we have to go when this sprite click uh broadcast message one. And now we have to go to coding of stage and say when I receive message one switch backdrop to stars. Okay. And now it is stars only. And when green flag is clicked when means when we start the game switch backdrop to uh light. That was the backdrop we took.
It was light. Okay. So when we click the green flag it changes the backdrop one that is light. And when we click play it changes the backdrop to this. So let's make it a little satisfy by doing when this sprite click uh and go to sound and say start play sound pop. So when we click this it plays a sound pop.
Yeah like this. This is perfect. So when we start the game and click on play it changes the backdrop and plays a sound pop. So now the problem is when we click on green flag and when we click on play there should be new screen in which you have your game and this should be not there. So to do that we have to go to this sprite and say when I receive message one and hide.
Okay. And same according to this when I receive message one this also should hide. Okay. So let's test that out. Now we can see both and see now it's disappearing. So let's check that again. Oh yeah and we forgot now our coding is gone. Don't need to worry. And then we have to go to events when green flag clicked and say when green flag clicked that time you have to show and same according to this when green flag is clicked.
Go to looks and drag this show button from here. Okay. So let's test that out.
We click the green flag and it says click our game. And when we click on play, it changes us to the next backdrop. And see, we can make our game.
So like this, we have created the starting of a game. If you enjoyed this video, don't make sure to like and subscribe. And if you are new to the channel, check out new contents and fun videos. Thank you. Bye.
