Legal disputes between artists can significantly delay album releases, as demonstrated by Drake's 'Iceman' album being postponed from 2024 to 2026 due to his ongoing court battle with Kendrick Lamar over defamation claims.

Kendrick Lamar Delayed Drake’s ‘Iceman’ for 2 YearsAdded:
Drake has officially announced when Iceman will be dropping. It will be releasing on May 15th after a live streamer was able to find the bag inside the ice cubes where he opened it in front of Drake's home and revealed the date there. But that's not the only story that is interesting after this reveal. There is another part of Iceman that a lot of people didn't know about and it's the simple fact that as they're going through this magazine that had the release date, they were able to find out that Iceman was supposed to come out in 2024. There's a t-shirt that is shared in this magazine that was hiding the release date and it shows 2024 will be my year. Xed out and replaced for 2026.
Surprised it doesn't have 25 on there because that's when he originally planned to roll out this album. But needless to say, we know why 2024 wasn't his year at all and why it took 2 years for this album to come out. Nobody knew that this album was going to come out in 2024 until this official release date where he is openly admitting that, hey, I couldn't get it right because Kendrick is messing me up. And he still hasn't let it go. Obviously, he's still fighting the appeal, blaming Tupac in court for tailor made freestyle. Still trying to get this reversed in court for defamation, but he's still out here not letting it go in the lyrics. As this live streamer is flipping through the pages, you could see the Pinocchio that he had shared in the Iceman episodes in the middle of a scope and now academics has came out and talked about this. He tried to claim must have had your infrared wrong. Now you're heading the beam. Stay alert. Well, I guess the beam is the lawsuit apparently from what it looks like because that's the thing that Drake is really trying to push over more than this [ __ ] album. Drake is admitting that he lost the battle. He is finally admitting that he lost in court.
They had to tell him that he lost. But in here, he is basically saying, "I [ __ ] up. I didn't win. 2024 was supposed to be my year, and it didn't turn out to be that way." And the picture besides this one is completely disgusting. I don't know why Drake chooses to use artwork like this. If you've already seen this live stream or this picture that is right next to this photo of this t-shirt, don't look at it, bro. If you already looked at it, I feel sorry for you. But that's just the weird activity that Drake is always involved in. That's just the weird strange [ __ ] that Drake is into that he has expressed and shared over the years. On the side of this picture, it's like this picture of a woman and she has like ridiculous ugly out of proportion drawn [ __ ] yahoos. You know what I mean? Yahoos. I guess that's the word that I'm going to use. And they're just drawn like so horribly and so ugly. It looks like a meat canyon type of drawing. I don't know. But it looks like this real dark weird drawing that Drake did and he put it in this magazine and the streamer says, "Oh [ __ ] I can't even show that."
But that's exactly the weird activity that Drake is always tied to. And going back to this picture here, I'm not going to lie, bro. I really do think that Drake is still obsessed with the battle.
He's still obsessed with this back and forth that he had with Kendrick. And people wonder why we continue to talk about it. Why we choose to bring this up is because he's going to run narratives that he ran in court and he's going to put them on this album. He has a thing called Project Bot and most likely that's going to be about what he was assuming in court. He wasn't able to prove it in court, but that doesn't mean he's not going to let it go. So, academics and all of them think that this is him referring to Kendrick. And I think it's funny because all of these Drake fans are saying, "Why do you keep talking about Drake? Why do you keep talking about his album?" But they're the ones that are talking about Kendrick non-stop. It's kind of funny because they're the ones that got him trending right now. Despite this being Drake's roll out, Kendrick is the one trending currently. And now all of these other social media pages are talking about Kendrick. All these other pages that were promoting Iceman recently are now talking about Kendrick passing 55 billion streams. I don't know. It's pretty strange, bro. But then moving forward, all of these Drake fans started producing weird activity. All of these Drake fans, all of these bots, these bot accounts, let me correct myself, have gone on Instagram, on Kendrick's page, and just flooded the comments with a whole bunch of Drake emojis, a whole bunch of ice block emojis, all of this other [ __ ] right? And then they wonder why this back and forth never dies down.
How are you excited for Drake's album, but you're commenting on Kendrick's page? It seems like these are comments that you should be putting on Drake's page and not Kendrick Lamar's. Just think it's I just think it's funny, bro.
like they continue to make an ass of themselves. You're going to make the other guy trend when you're supposed to be hyped up for the artist that you're actually a fan of. And whole time, the guy that you're a fan of is admitting that he lost the battle two years ago and that this album was supposed to come out two years ago and it wasn't able to because he got his ass kicked so bad he had to push this album back two years later. Remember, Her Lost came out in 22. For all the dogs came out in 23 and Iceman was supposed to come out in 24 and all of that got derailed because he got into a battle with Kendrick Lamar.
JCole was also supposed to drop around this time also. So these two guys that went at Kendrick Lamar ended up having to push their [ __ ] back because they got BTA by Kendrick Lamar. I'm just going to keep it 100, bro. And for the record, academics did not know when this record was going to drop. He did not know when this album was going to come out at all, bro. Because why would he want to set up a live birthday celebration on May 15th, the day that the album comes out? And why is it 16 and up? But anyways, if academics knew about this roll out and he knew when this album date was going to come out, he would never set up a live event where he has to come out of his room and miss out on listening to this album. And by the way typing this out, it doesn't look like he was expecting it at all. There's another picture that Drake decided to share.
It's a guy from a newscast and he says, "Despite the first casualties, it seems to be a part of the game. I don't know what casualties he's talking about unless he's talking about himself.
Unless he's talking about Baka or all the other people that were talked about in Atlanta. It beats me at this point.
But as of right now, I don't think there was any casualties from the other side.
Unless he's talking about the people that were around his circle. Maybe it was the people stabbing him in the back, releasing information about him. Maybe it's the people that left his stuff at the Mark Hotel, but from what I'm looking at, I don't see any casualties from Kendrick Lamar's side. And there has been a lot of talk about this album.
A lot of Drake fans are hyping this up.
The parasocial behavior is continuing to grow every single day. And the fact that they're spamming Kendrick Lamar's account just goes to show you how upset they've been for the past two years, and why they're going as hard as they are now. And I've already said time and time and again, I don't care if you're a Drake fan. And if he does decide to take shots on here, I'm going to talk about the things that he says about the battle, the things that he says about Kendrick if he does decide to go that route, which I'm pretty sure he is based off of the things that he's sharing on this roll out. But other than that, I'm not really going to rock with this album. I'm not going to listen to it in the car. I can't respect somebody who's going to blame the dead and try to say that it was Tupac's fault for a song that he wrote for a song that he created. But if it's battle related, I'll definitely be talking about it. I just think it's funny that during this roll out, he is admitting that he lost the battle and Kendrick delayed his album a whole two years before he could even put it out and gain any type of momentum back only for the same fans that he's trying to build momentum off of to basically poke the bear in his comment section. I don't know, bro. I don't think they want to provoke Kendrick any further. I think they should just leave it alone and enjoy their guys roll out. But we shall see.
There's a lot of music coming out in May. Isaiah Rashad is dropping. Lucky is dropping the same day Drake is dropping.
So, we're going to see how it's all going to go down in May. A lot of music to look forward to. Y'all tell me how you feel about this and get back to me, man. Like, comment, subscribe, and I'll see you on the next video, man. Peace.
Keep it alleged.
