Judge SHOCKS Courtroom In Anna Kepner Cruise Ship M*rder Case| Accuser REMAIN OUT ON HOUSE ARREST!

[00:00:01]Hey everybody, it is tea time with the diva. Grab your tea, grab your coffee cuz we're going to get into it. This tea time is dedicated to Anna Chepner, may she rest in peace. She is the young lady that lost her life on a cruise ship. She was on vacation with her father, her step family. The step brother was said to be allegedly obsessed with her and unfortunately, he took her life. Listen, this young man was arrested and he is now awaiting trial. But lucky for him, he gets to await trial not behind bars, but at home with an ankle monitor on.

[00:00:39]Anna's step Anna's actually her father, okay, is upset. And he said that he should be behind bars while awaiting trial. The justice system is insane.

[00:00:53]Insane because you have someone like this young man being accused of taking somebody's life and he gets to be home on house arrest. And then you have someone like Diddy. Bringing Diddy up for comparison purposes. He asked to be out on bail 10 times over and it was a no, no, no, no, no and no again.

[00:01:14]But this young man, he gets a yes without even asking multiple times. Let me share a screen so we can get more into the story.

[00:01:29]>> away from where 16 200 miles away from where 16-year-old Tim Hudson walked into a federal courthouse. This is where his 18-year-old step sister Anna Chepner would have graduated from this month.

[00:01:45]I can show you outside Temple Christian School where a cross still marks where Anna parked her car right up until that family cruise back in November where federal prosecutors say her 16-year-old stepbrother raped and strangled her in the room they were sharing. As Tim Hudson was in Miami Wednesday for a bond hearing, I called Anna Kepner's dad, Chris, who told me he wanted the judge to hold Tim Hudson until trial, but instead Hudson's going home to his family in Hernando County, where he's been staying for months.

[00:02:11]>> I want him in in custody. I think that if he was in custody, we would possibly get more out of this kid considering that he's saying that he doesn't remember. He can't be in free and be able to do what he wants. He's put it in the back of his mind like there's no consequences for his actions.

[00:02:27]>> Anna Kepner's actions left a lasting impact on her community. Since November, students and parents have told me so much about how they adored her.

[00:02:35]>> She would turn a sad room into a happy room. She was just a light.

[00:02:41]>> That light shining at the school's graduation ceremony this month. Chris Kepner talked to me about accepting his daughter's diploma.

[00:02:48]>> That was very nice what the school did for us. The school gave us the yearbook and they made a whole page about it and I >> And now Chris Kepner told me the school's making his daughter's parking spot a permanent memorial for Anna and one that never chips or fades.

[00:03:02]Like her grandfather, Chris told me that Anna wanted to join the Navy after graduation.

[00:03:25]So, judge issues a surprise ruling in a cruise ship murder case against Anna Kepner's stepbrother. The teen stepbrother charged in the SA and murder of Anna Kepner will remain free for now and is allowed to live in a house with two other kids, a judge ruled on Wednesday. So, this young man is being accused of taking the life of another uh a person and you okay with him going to live in a home with two other kids, you got to make it make sense.

[00:03:56]Miami federal judge Edwin Torres and Tim Tim said Tim Timothy Hudson, the baby-faced 16-year-old accused accused killer, could stay out of jail at least until the judge consulted with jail officials about housing him at a facility near his family. Oh, yeah, let's make it nice and convenient and comfy for him, but he didn't do it for his own step sister.

[00:04:19]"If you were a 20-year-old under the same exact circumstances, I probably would have detained." Torres explained, according to a report by NBC News. "The presumption would be we were just not going to take that chance." What chance?

[00:04:34]Of something happening to her?

[00:04:37]Something maybe horrific like he did to his step sister?

[00:04:41]"That is a different animal." Torres said he'd speak with the US Marshals about potentially turning Hudson over to Hernando County lockup near his family, rather than keep him hundreds of miles south in Miami-Dade County, where Hudson will face trial. The judge said he wants to know what my options are. Torres didn't say when he issued a final warning.

[00:05:04]Meanwhile, prosecutor Alexander Lopez called for Hudson's bail to be revoked, especially because he's living under the supervision of his parental uncle in a home with two minors. "I believe there is clear and convincing evidence that this defendant is a danger to the to the community." the prosecutor said.

[00:05:22]Hudson's defense attorney Evan countered that Hudson had followed the terms of his supervised release since his February arrest. So, there was no reason to believe he would continue to abide by the conditions of his bond. The teenager won't be able to leave his uncle home without being accompanied by the uncle or his aunt, and he will continue to be electronically electronically monitored with a GPS tracker, the same terms Torres said in February in the juvenile case. May this young lady rest in peace.

[00:05:53]Hudson looked concerned and kept his hands in his pockets as he walked in the court Wednesday morning, the first time he has been publicly seen in the stunning murder case.

[00:06:02]Hudson was initially charged in February as a juvenile in the case, accusing him of killing the bubbly 18-year-old cheerleader while they were on a 6-day excursion on a Carnival Cruise ship with their family. But prosecutors secured an indictment charging him as an adult of first-degree murder. He has pleaded not guilty and faces life in prison if convicted at trial in September. He allegedly SA'd her before fatally strangling her. Hudson then wrapped her body in a blanket and stashed it under the bed of the cabin they were sharing on the ship. Hudson was reportedly obsessed with his stepsister and had once previously tried to SA her. Oh, poor thing.

[00:06:44]You know, there's a lot of things you know in hindsight.

[00:06:47]And listen, as a kid, you love to go on vacation. I know I did and I would, right? But knowing that this kid tried this to her before, you know, in hindsight, I wish she would have been like, "You know what? I don't want to go on vacation with y'all." But that's hindsight. And you always think I think a lot of us think they tried that they would but they wouldn't go this far. They wouldn't do that. Or maybe they won't try it again.

[00:07:13]There's a sick obsession in his head that he tried to SA her before and then he actually did it and then he actually took her life. They also said that he um he allegedly choked her so hard and so bad that it burst her eardrum.

[00:07:30]And you're allowing someone who did that to be in a home with two other minor children?
