I Built Dog Vision Goggles!

>> Well, I'm here to answer that question.
To see like a dog, you have to think like a dog with my doglike senses heightened to the level of Jacob from Twilight. I thought I needed a Pi 5 and a camera to get started. Due to my internet breaking the other day, we had to change routers. Even though I managed to fix the old one, it was just a little bit of a safety hazard. Because of this, my pies were no longer connected to the same network as my computer.
>> So, I needed an Ethernet cable to plug the Pi into the computer so that I could reconnect them. And I actually found a Starlink Easter egg when you uh try to accidentally SSH into the router. First thing I'm going to do is get some detections going for people, the ball, and birds. Some things that a dog might look at. This is also going to shift the footage to blue yellow, similar to a dog's vision. I'll skip over a bit of the nerd stuff this time. It's basically just running YOLO to detect me, the ball, and birds. My Pi is hosting a web server that allows the footage to be accessed via my phone, which means it can be mounted to a VR headset that allows me to see what my dog is seeing.
For the power supply, I'm using a power bank rated at 5 V 2.5 amps, which is a little under the current rating, but miraculously it worked.
It'll make the device less efficient and more prone to browning out, but it should work for what I needed to.
Outside, there's no Wi-Fi, so I needed the Pi to set up a personal area network so that I would always have reception to the device no matter how far I am from the internet router.
With the app and the detections fully working, it was time to pop on Fusion and 3D model a little helmet for my dog.
With everything printed, I slapped it all in the housing. Now, I just added a little bit of styrofoam packaging just so that it was safe from the high speeds of my dog running. And everyone knows that styrofoam and high temperature are a good mix. You can see from my absolute peak engineering abilities that the electronics do not fit in the house.
