In the 1880s, the beginning of a wave was starting in the country of Argentina. A wave of 4 million Italian immigrants that set foot in this country. These immigrants often times came with nothing and they didn't speak Spanish. They spoke their regional Italian languages with very few speaking standard Italian. So, upon arrival, for survival, they invented a new form of language called Cocoliche.
