Cleveland area weather forecast: Drier for Mother's Day, chilly start to the weekAjouté :
I know many eyes are going to be on the forecast for next Saturday. So, let's go ahead and bring in meteorologist Anthony Copeland.
>> You know what, Danielle, this point of the year when it comes to the weekend, now that we're in miday, everyone is paying attention to the weekend forecast cuz we got Cedar Point is open. A lot of kids are getting out for graduation. You know, it's it's supposed to be the best summer for the high schoolers getting into the college uh time frame. So yeah, it's a lot a lot going on. And yeah, mid May into late May, it's time for us to really get out of the hibernation period with the frost and freeze. It is Mother's Day and that's usually the turning point when it comes to the growing season for us. Uh, [sighs and gasps] but this north wind is going to keep us unseasonably cool all throughout your Sunday. We have a northeast wind right now. Upper 40s in Payneesville. Downtown as far south as Madina, Ashley, even in Mansville. Low 50s. We're still holding on to that.
Millisburg over to do. That is also where we have a little bit of rain showing up right now. Partly sunny to partly sunny skies, partly cloudy conditions. Temperatures in the 40s right now from our CSU camera. Looking absolutely gorgeous for this morning.
Bright skies with us all throughout your Sunday. Meanwhile, down to the south, yeah, we have a little bit of sprinkle activity, passing showers. No need to really just zoom in on this. This is going to be over and done with as we wrap up 8, 9, and 10:00 for this morning. And by that time, we get the rain, the clouds out of here. North wind continuing. We could see some high level cloud coverage near the lake shore by midday. But high pressure is going to be sliding in from the northwest and that's going to keep the north winds in play.
but lighter north winds throughout the overnight. And that's going to set us up for a chilly chilly start to your Monday morning. Today, 59. That's it. Morning sprinkles mainly along Route 30, but sunny skies keeping us pretty comfortable and dry for this afternoon.
40° by the time we get closer to dayb breakak for your Monday. We're we're going to be cooling off, but at the lake mid to upper 40s possible, but also looking at the chance for some patchy frost for inland areas. Slightly cooler, but sunnier for your Monday.
Temperatures only in the mid50s with a light north wind. And for tomorrow night into Tuesday, I'm thinking we're going to have a decent shot of seeing some frost and freeze. Well, I will say from frost for all the planners out there, the gardeners for tomorrow night into early Tuesday, but I'm thinking as we get beyond Tuesday morning, we should be done with the frost for the season.
We're going to introduce some rain chances by late Tuesday into Wednesday with another clipper system. As we get beyond midweek, I really want to stress we have some great news to pass along.
If you're looking for more warm temperatures, I'm talking 70s and 80s, we have that inbound for us as we get closer to late week. And matter of fact, the Climate Prediction Center is already advertising above average temperatures through much of the lower 48, including us across much of the Buckeye State as we see this ridge eventually moving in.
And that's going to promote above average temperatures. And that's also going to open up the humidity from the Gulf as we get closer to next weekend.
Check it out. Your Union Home Mortgage 10day outlook. Yeah, unseasonably cool as we get closer to next week. Uh low low 60s to mid50s for some rain by Wednesday. Rain rain seems likely pretty much all throughout the day for your Wednesday. We'll have an updated timeline if that draws closer. We dry out by Thursday afternoon. By Friday, upper 50s, then a warm front giving us higher humidity. Upper 70s, remaining really warm by next Sunday. Anthony, you know what would be a great gift today then?
>> Oh, what's that?
>> Getting your mom her a pedicure so she could be ready for sandal season.
>> Okay, let me get my wallet out. Let's do it. [laughter] Thanks,
