Tyler robot hit by truck while scanning sidewalks

[00:00:00]In just a few days after it deployed a robot from the city of Tyler has been destroyed. According to a statement from the city, the accident happened at the intersection of West Morton Luther King Jr. Boulevard and North Place Avenue.

[00:00:14]One of the ADAS Spots units was being directed across the street by a company operator when it was struck by a truck making a right turn on red. Thankfully, no one was injured. The damaged robot will now be evaluated and either repaired at ADAS Spots headquarters in Oregon or used for parts to support repairs to other units. A replacement unit was deployed today.
