[00:00:00]When I started to see what was happening with Trump's visa freeze or ban, I was furious. You showed up. You filed your visa petition. You went through the process. You paid the fees. You filled out the forms. You showed up at the interviews. You did everything that the system asked of you. And then, when you got to the interview, at the outcome of the interview, they told you you were refused under 212F. You did everything right, but you got refused under 212F even though you did everything right simply because of the country where you were born. So, I started doing research.

I read the case law, and I realized that there is nothing in the law that says that the President of the United States has the authority to block someone from entering the United States just because of the country where they were born. Courts in California and DC have said just exactly this. The injustice is real, and people are being hurt about it, and nobody's doing anything to stop this or challenge it. And that is why we are filing a federal lawsuit for anyone impacted by a 212F refusal. We are going to ask the court to force the consulates to review your application and to make a decision on the merits, not based on just where you were born. Our goal is to help everyone impacted by 212F refusals.
