Number one, Kevin Dagel. On August 23rd, 2015, Kevin Dagel murdered Louisiana State Trooper Steven Vincent after his truck was found stuck in a ditch near Hayes, Louisiana. As Vincent tried to help, Dagel pulled a firearm and shot him at close range. Vincent died the next day, and it was later confirmed that Dagel had also murdered his roommate earlier. On July 9th, 2019, he was found guilty. And on October 20th, 2022, he was sentenced to death after a second jury upheld the penalty. He has been on death row for about 4 years and no execution date has been set. Number two, Kyle David Jookal. On August 16th, 2012, Kyle David Jookel took part in an ambush at a trailer park in La Place, Louisiana, where two sheriff's deputies, Jeremy Trish and Brandon Nielsen, were shot and murdered while two others were injured. Authorities said Jook used a firearm during the attack alongside another suspect linked to an anti-government group. On February 7th, 2020, he was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder. and on February 10th, 2023, he was formally sentenced to death. On August 16th, 2010, Marcus Dante Reed murdered three brothers, Jeremiah Adams, Jarquis Adams, and Jean Adams in Keithville, Louisiana after believing they had taken a game console from him.
Authorities said he used a firearm to ambush them in a driveway. On October 2nd, 2013, he was found guilty on all counts and on January 21st, 2014, he was sentenced to death. A June 4th, 2025 execution date was later cancelled by the Louisiana Supreme Court. He has been on death row for about 12 years, and no execution date is currently set. Number four, Leandre Tucker. On September 9th, 2008, Lamandre Tucker was last seen leaving with 18-year-old Tavia Sills in Shreveport, Louisiana. Three days later, her body was found in a secluded pond.
Authorities said Tucker used a firearm and admitted to shooting her during a struggle before firing again. On March 20th, 2011, he was found guilty of first-degree murder. And on June 29th, 2011, he was sentenced to death by lethal injection. He has been on death row for about 15 years and no execution date has been set. Number five, Darius Holiday. Around midMay 2007, Darius Holidayiday murdered 2-year-old Darien [ __ ] inside a Baton Rouge home after recently moving in with the child's mother. Authorities said the child suffered repeated injuries during the attack. On March 14th, 2010, a jury found Holiday guilty of first-degree murder and 3 days later, he was given the death penalty. On July 7th, 2010, he was formally sentenced to death. He has been on death row for about 16 years and no execution date has been set. Number seven, Anthony Bell. During a morning service on May 21st, 2006, Anthony Bell opened fire inside a church in Baton Rouge after his wife refused to reconcile, murdering four of her relatives before abducting her and their children. Authorities said he later shot and murdered his wife at a nearby apartment complex. On April 11th, 2008, he was found guilty on all counts. And on September 11th, 2008, he was sentenced to multiple death sentences.

During a home invasion on April 1st, 2006, Felton Dorsy and an accomplice entered the home of 79year-old Bobby Pck in Greenwood, Louisiana. When her son Joe Pck arrived, authorities said he was beaten and murdered before the house was set on fire while Bobby managed to escape. On May 26th, 2009, Dorsey was found guilty of first-degree murder after a short deliberation. And on July 7th, 2009, he was sentenced to death by lethal injection. He has been on death row for about 17 years, and no execution date has been set. Number nine, Michael Garcia. Around early February 2006, Michael Garcia and two others abducted a couple from an abandoned gas station in Port Allen, Louisiana. Authorities said both victims were attacked and Garcia later stabbed Matthew Milikin to death before disposing of his body in a canal.

Authorities say on February 11th, 2002, Ladder Campbell took part in a robbery at a liquor store in Rodessa, Louisiana, where 51-year-old Kathy Parker was shot and murdered. Surveillance captured the incident, and he was later identified and arrested. On September 22nd, 2004, he was found guilty of first-degree murder after choosing to represent himself during trial. And on February 25th, 2005, he was sentenced to death.

Around early November 2001, Jason Manuel Reeves abducted 4-year-old Mary Jean Thigpen from Moss Bluff, Louisiana.

After an initial mistrial, Reeves was found guilty of first-degree murder on November 5th, 2004. And on December 10th, 2004, he was sentenced to death by lethal injection. Late one evening on December 18th, 2000, Jeremiah Manning abducted 62-year-old Mary Malone from her home in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. Authorities said he was later seen with her vehicle and after questioning, he led them to her body in a wooded area. On May 6th, 2002, he was found guilty of first-degree murder after a short deliberation. And on May 13th, 2002, he was sentenced to death. He has been on death row for about 24 years, and no execution date has been set. Number 16, Jeffrey Clark and David Brown. During a failed escape attempt on December 28th, 1999, Jeffrey Clark and David Brown took part in an attack inside a prison building at Angola, Louisiana, where correctional officer David Knaps was beaten to death. Authorities said the assault happened during a hostage situation involving multiple inmates. On May 2011, Clark was found guilty and sentenced to death, while Brown was later tried and sentenced that same year. Number 22, Glenn Junior's Jr.

Glenn Junior's Jr. entered a business in Convent, Louisiana, where authorities said he used a firearm to murder Albert Butch Robinson and injured another victim. In the weeks that followed, he was linked to additional violent incidents before being arrested. On August 17th, 1999, he was found guilty of first-degree murder, and the next day, the jury recommended a death sentence. Late in January 1997, Robert Craig Miller attacked his 67year-old landlord inside her home in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. Authorities said she was assaulted and stabbed to death during the incident. On February 26th, 1998, Miller was sentenced to death following his conviction for first-degree murder. During January 13th, 1996, Quincy Broadden carried out a double shooting in Scotlandville, Louisiana, where authorities said he used a firearm to murder Edward Black over a debt and then murdered Alan Rutled to prevent him from being a witness. Both victims were attacked at close range during the incident. In 2001, his conviction and death sentence were upheld after appeals were denied. Late in October 1995, Cedric Edwards broke into an apartment in Shreveport, Louisiana, shortly after being released on parole. Authorities said he used a firearm to shoot Gerald Kennedy before murdering Victoria Kennedy in front of her teenage daughter. During trial, Edwards admitted to the shooting. In 1997, a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder and unanimously sentenced him to death. During October 23rd, 1992, Manuel Ortiz was linked to an attack inside a condominium in Kennor, Louisiana, where authorities said his wife, Tracy Williams Ortiz, was stabbed to death and her friend Cheryl Mallalerie was shot and murdered. Investigators later connected him to the incident through evidence and prior planning. On October 12th, 1994, Ortiz was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and days later he was sentenced to death. He has been on death row for about 31 years and no execution date has been set as appeals continue. Number 43, Christopher Sepado. During March 8th, 1992, Christopher Sepilado attacked his six-year-old stepson, Wesley Allan Mercer, in Dotto Parish, Louisiana, where authorities said the child suffered severe injuries and died from the abuse. In 1993, Sepado was found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to death. He remained on death row for over 30 years. An execution was set for March 17th, 2025, but he died of natural causes on February 22nd, 2025 before it could be carried out. Number 44, Alan Robertson Jr. during January 1st, 1991. Alan Robertson Jr. broke into a home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where authorities said he stabbed and murdered Morris and Kazuko Preston while attempting to steal money. During early July 1979, James Copeland abducted 11-year-old Joseph Cook Owen in Livingston Parish, Louisiana alongside another individual.
Authorities said the child was taken to a residence before being driven to a remote field where Copeland used a firearm to murder him. After initially being convicted, his first sentence was overturned. But on November 14th, 1986, he was again sentenced to death following a retrial. He has been on death row for about 39 years, and no execution date has been set. Number 52, Daniel Joseph Blank. During late 1996 into 1997, Daniel Joseph Blank carried out a series of attacks across multiple parishes in Louisiana, where authorities said six victims were murdered inside their homes during robberies. He was arrested in November 1997 after investigators connected him to the crimes. On September 2nd, 1999, he was found guilty of first-degree murder and days later he was sentenced to death with another death sentence issued in 2000.
