[00:00:00]Look. David was small, and Goliath was very, very big. Can God help someone small be brave? David was a young shepherd. He took care of his father's sheep. He watched them [music] in the field. He helped them stay safe.

[00:00:17]David was not a king.

[00:00:19]David was not a soldier.

[00:00:21]But David knew something special.

[00:00:24]God was with him.

[00:00:26]One day, David's father, Jesse, called him. He said, "David, take food to your brothers." David listened. He got ready [music] to go.

[00:00:34]David carried food for his brothers.

[00:00:37]He walked toward the Israelite camp. He wanted to help.

[00:00:42]David's brothers were with the Israelite men. They were standing in the valley.

[00:00:47]Everyone was watching a very big problem. A giant named Goliath came out.

[00:00:53]>> [music] >> His voice was loud. His steps were heavy.

[00:00:58]He looked very, very tall.

[00:01:01]The Israelite men stepped back. David's brothers looked worried.

[00:01:06]No one wanted to go near Goliath.

[00:01:09]David looked around.

[00:01:11]He saw the big giant. He saw the worried men.

[00:01:15]And David asked, "Why is everyone afraid?"

[00:01:19]David remembered the field. God had helped him care for the sheep.

[00:01:24]God was with David before. God was with [music] David now.

[00:01:29]David went to King Saul.

[00:01:31]David said, "God helped me before. God can help me now."

[00:01:36]King Saul gave David armor. [music] But the armor was too big. David tried to walk.

[00:01:43]David said, "I cannot use these."

[00:01:47]He took off the big armor.

[00:01:49]He kept his shepherd bag. [music] He trusted God.

[00:01:54]David went to the stream.

[00:01:56]He picked up five smooth stones.

[00:01:59]Can you count them?

[00:02:01]One.

[00:02:03]Two.

[00:02:05]Three.

[00:02:07]Four.

[00:02:10]Five.

[00:02:12]David walked toward Goliath. He was small, but he was not alone.

[00:02:18]Put your hand on your heart. Say it with David.

[00:02:22]God is with me.

[00:02:24]I can be brave.

[00:02:27]David swung the sling round and round.

[00:02:31]The stone flew through the air, and God helped David. The big problem fell down.

[00:02:38]David was safe.

[00:02:40]The Israelite men were amazed. God was bigger than the giant. David's brothers cheered. The Israelite men smiled.

[00:02:49]David thanked God.

[00:02:51]When you feel small, remember, God is with me. I [music] can be brave.

[00:03:06]There was a boy called David, [music] a shepherd and poet. He watched over his sheep until [singing] the Lord chose him to take down the giant.

[00:03:17]Lord chose [music and singing] him to take down the giant. Lord chose [music] him. So, David swung swung swung his [singing] sling.

[00:03:26]Swung swung swung his sling. Swung swung and let that [music] stone [singing] go. So, David swung swung swung his sling. Swung [music] swung swung his sling. Swung swung and let that stone go.

[00:03:41]And [music] his aim was so perfect, the giant could not duck. The stone [music] hit his forehead and down the giant plunked. The stone hit his forehead and down the giant [music] [singing] plonk.
