NGC 3628, often called the Hamburger Galaxy, lies about 35 million light-years away in Leo and is seen almost edgeon with a broad dark dust lane slicing through its glowing disc and giving it that strange layered shape. It is also part of the Leo triplet and shows signs of interaction with its neighbors.
