[00:00:07]I'm a producer at the Dodo and I've been working with a sloth rescue in Venezuela for the past few months. And when Fund Chewy co-founder Juan Carlos reached out to tell me that they had a newborn sloth in their care, I knew we had to tell her story on the dodo. This little girl was found in late December of 2025. Her mother had been attacked by stray dogs and had sadly not made it, leaving this little one orphaned. Fesong Cheuy knew it would be a long road ahead because she was literally days old and weighed about half of one lb. No one knew if she would make it, but day by day she got stronger.

[00:01:07]>> She is a fiend during feeding time and she's a little bit clumsy, but so cute.

[00:01:16]As of April 2026, this little girl has reached her goal weight of 700 g, which is about 1 and 12 lb.

[00:01:25]She gets plenty of time outdoors and still loves feeding time.

[00:01:33]The goal is to get her strong enough to be reintroduced to the forest and to live the way a healthy little sloth should.
