This TikTok Shop Bali is … Really Good?

[00:00:03]Right here with me, we're going to be talking about the best battle song I've ever tried in my life. This is the best one to date.

[00:00:09]Um, no, that was that was a joke. This is terrible. Um, but it is kind of related to what I were talking about today, but before we get into it, thank you for joining me today. [00:00:42]And without any further ado, let's get straight into the video. So, this is not what the video is about today, but it is kind of related to it. Let me explain why. So, for me and a lot of people who started the hobby maybe like three to four, maybe I'd say probably five years ago plus. Um, this was kind of the best option that you could have if you didn't want to, you know, not a squiddy, but if you want to get a metal battle song for a cheap price. Um, there was no LDY stuff, at least I'm pretty sure five years ago. I don't think there was. Um, and there weren't really any good budget options for metal for metal battle battle songs.

[00:01:19]Um, that's obviously very, very different now and that's kind of what I mean what I may be talking about. But yeah, this is kind of what me and a lot of other people started on. I joined the hobby officially like three years ago, but like officially, officially five years ago was the first time I ever tried a battle song and it was one very much like this.

[00:01:37]But, yeah, this is kind of this is if you haven't flipped anything like this before, this is absolute trash. Um, it flips terribly. It's got terrible tolerances out of the box.

[00:01:48]Um, and it's like incredibly short, which is like not always a bad thing, but all you need to know is that this thing is straight dog water.

[00:01:56]Um, it's it's terrible. So, we're not even going to waste any more time talking about this thing. But, what I did want to talk about is what I have right here.

[00:02:05]Now, this is a kind of interesting um guy because um well, you guys can already hear this thing sounds incredible.

[00:02:13]But, the interesting thing about this guy is that this balisong is only available on TikTok Shop through a creator named FlickFlow. Now, FlickFlow is a relatively new maker on the scene, I guess. Um and the thing is they're only on TikTok.

[00:02:30]I have Now, I did as much research as I could, but I could not find this specific knife under this specific brand name anywhere else. It wasn't even on like Taobao. I mean, maybe I could have looked harder, but from what I saw, this wasn't on AliExpress. This wasn't on any other Chinese sites. The only place that you can purchase this guy is on TikTok.

[00:02:48]And the funniest thing is it doesn't even have a name. Like, if you go on TikTok and you find this guy, look up FlickFlow, and you'll see the balisongs, and you'll see their TikTok Shop page.

[00:02:56]This guy is just called like aluminum trainer. Um, I'll leave it Maybe I'll write it on the screen. Um, but like this doesn't actually have a name. It's just called like a aluminum balisong butterfly knife trainer. It doesn't actually have a product name. But, it's actually like really, really good, and I'm going to talk about that a lot more. But, FlickFlow, as far as I'm aware, they're not a clone maker. Um I looked online, and I didn't see anything, and this doesn't really like remind me of anything that it could be cloned of. Now, I could be wrong on this, and if I am, then let me know in the comments. Is this a clone of anything? I mean, it's a fairly generic design, so maybe like you could say like it bears some resemblance to some random old bali.

[00:03:41]But, for me, this looks fairly like original. Like, I don't think I've seen this exact thing before. Um, maybe it's inspired by something, but as far as far as I know, this is not a clone. So, I'm going to be talking about the rest of this video with the assumption that this is not a clone.

[00:03:57]But yeah, this is only really available on TikTok shop. And you would think, you would think that it's not that good. And you would think wrong because um this actually surprised like the hell out of me when I first tried it. Um this is actually belong to my brother's friend.

[00:04:14]So, my brother's friends came to our house like what like 2 or 3 months ago and they saw me flipping battle songs and they thought it was cool and they started getting into it a little bit.

[00:04:24]And one of them bought this on TikTok shop. And he asked me beforehand he was like, "Should I get this?" And I was like, "You know what? For the price like I've seen other people on TikTok use it and it looks pretty good. And for the price of 45 bucks and I think he got it for even cheaper cuz of the discount code cuz the TikTok shop always has discount codes. For whatever price he got it for I was like, "I feel like that's pretty worth it and it might be a good starter one. So, you know, go ahead and get it." And then he got it and then he brought it to my house and I tried it and I was like, "Bro, what? Like this is actually really good. I wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near as good as it's feeling right now."

[00:04:57]Um and the long story short I ended up trading with him. This is actually mine now because I actually really really like this guy.

[00:05:05]Um but yeah, this is this is really really interesting. Now the specs aren't even listed properly on his on Flipp Flow's page.

[00:05:13]In the listing it says that this is somewhere near 141 g which if I can remember correctly that's like 5.1 or 5.2 oz which this thing is most definitely not. Um I I don't have a my scale with me right now but I could I feel confident in saying this is around 3.8 oz maybe less 3.7.

[00:05:33]Um definitely probably under four. But it just flips extremely competitively.

[00:05:38]Like it is insane the balance is really really fun. Um it's got it's very neutral but it's got just enough hand wise where it carries itself very well through rollovers and it chaplains really really well with you know some exceptions it could be a little bit better but I'm not complaining this is a $45 Tik Tok shop balance long with like I don't know that you've never even heard of the maker before.

[00:05:59]And the crazy thing is this thing runs on bushings and it's tuned really really well so like let me show you guys the play.

[00:06:08]That is like and this is you can see it's been dropped and beaten a lot but like that's really good play for like not out of the box a Tik Tok shop knife for $45. Now I believe this is 6061 aluminum it could be 7075 but really it doesn't make it much of a difference to me it's like a $45 knife but if it's 7075 that's pretty cool and the swing is really really good.

[00:06:30]Like this thing is very well tuned um which is just crazy I mean like who saw this guy coming out of where I I don't know he's he has no promotion on Instagram at all as far as I'm aware and if he does then he's very like underground um but he doesn't promote anywhere else besides Tik Tok now I think he sent it out to a few big flippers on Tik Tok of which there are quite a few and because of that he has gotten some sales but I think he should really should come to Instagram because I posted this on my story and from like the responses I received I feel like a lot of people would be really really interested on in this quality of a flipper for the price that it is and it looks pretty good and everyone loves the tuning fork design right and that tuning fork design by the way makes a huge effect on the sound so I know you guys have been hearing as I'm flipping but listen to this.

[00:07:39]I mean this thing just sounds really ridiculous Um overall, like it just it's a it's kind of hard to imagine that this is what beginners are able to start on nowadays.

[00:07:49]Like someone who knows absolutely nothing about balisongs, but they just see online on their for you page or whatever, can see the link to buy this and then immediately pick up what I would consider to be an extremely competitive flipping balisong, which is just crazy to me. Like before even like 2 3 years ago, you would have to do like a little bit of research. If you saw someone flipping a butterfly knife for a balisong, you'd have to go online and go on Reddit or go on Instagram and see that, you know, oh, the good companies are Squid, HOM, and the Balisong. Maybe I should get something from them. No, bro, like this is crazy because millions of people are exposed to butterfly knife or balisong content on TikTok. And that's evident with the big creators, like they're getting hundreds of thousands of likes. And then they're also promoting this knife, which is in the video, you can just click a little thing, a pop-up at the bottom of the video, that says, you know, buy this product. And you can just buy it like right there, right then, without having any having to do any prior research or anything on butterfly knives, balisongs, at all. Which is just crazy to me that it's become that accessible. Um which I think is actually a really good thing.

[00:08:52]Honestly, I'm a little bit jealous that I didn't get to start on something this good because this really is amazing. Um like I said, it fans really, really well. It carries itself super well through fans. Rollovers feel really, really nice. The only thing I would complain about a little bit is that um the texture on the aluminum, while it's not like nowhere near um Squid's bead blast level, it can make your hands a little bit slippery sometimes. So, I mean, I don't even really care about that too much. Um it's it's like one con out of all the pros. Um it's actually got really good jumping, um which is something that beginners may care about when they're learning ladders, especially on aluminum balisong. It's very deep. Um feels very, very great.

[00:09:31]The it's got some cool handle like patterns. Um it's got like a little star at the bottom, like a wheel star, so that's pretty cool, I guess. Um, overall, I I think it's like a pretty good-looking knife and it comes in different colors, too. Comes in like black and gray.

[00:09:45]>> [snorts] >> Um, but yeah, and it's got like a it's got a bite handle indicator, as well.

[00:09:49]So, like there is really nothing I have to say that's bad about this knife. It actually flips really, really well, and I'm just surprised that like there's nothing about this knife anywhere else other than Tik Tok. Like it's just very it's very interesting to me. Um, and I really hope that he does push it um, like elsewhere outside of Tik Tok cuz as far as I'm aware, unless you're on Tik Tok as a like a like uh, if you as a balisong flipper are not on Tik Tok, I don't think you would have any way of knowing about this thing. The people who respond to my story who did know about it had only known about it from Tik Tok. And the people who didn't weren't on Tik Tok. So, if you're not on Tik Tok, you're not going to find out about this thing. Um, which is just crazy to me because it's actually a really, really good trainer. And I I would recommend this to like a lot of beginners now. Like, yes, there's also other stuff in the price range of $45.

[00:10:43]Actually, I I I mean like the Cheese is like $75, the Creston is also $75.

[00:10:50]Um, the Orion is $75. Bro, like yeah, this is like in a price range of its own. For like a metal balisong to be this cheap and this good is kind of crazy. Um, unless you're buying a clone, but like I wouldn't really recommend like I I would always recommend you to start off on an original one unless you really, really, really want the clone, but like that's a whole different discussion.

[00:11:09]Um, this is definitely a rant video, but it's just like it's really really interesting to me that this guy is practically nonexistent outside any other plat- on on other other platforms, especially Instagram, because Instagram, I feel like is a side I I think besides Reddit, Instagram is where the balisong community thrives the most. I think it's that's where it's the biggest. Um, so it it's just kind of insane that no one else has really even heard of this this guy.

[00:11:35]Um but yeah, it's really really really good. Um it's super fun to flip. I mean and it sounds incredible.

[00:11:42]So I would highly recommend picking this guy up. Um I'll try to include the listing down below, but like it since it's on Tik Tok, I don't know if I'll be able to.

[00:11:51]All you need to do is if you are on Tik Tok, just look up Flick Flow. F l f l i c k f l o w Flick Flow is all one word and you'll see it.

[00:12:00]But yeah, it's kind of it's kind of crazy. This this this thing is really funny and really interesting and just really really cool, honestly. So that is those are going to be my thoughts on this guy. Um I'm probably going to put some click-baity title because I feel like a lot of people should know about this who don't know about this. Um but I think it'd be cool to see more people talk about it for sure.

[00:12:20]Um obviously it's not like it's not like the best thing you've ever tried, but like for just something of this nature, it's just really surprising, I guess. I I think that's the way I'll describe it.

[00:12:31]It's I think it's actually really good, but more than anything it's just really surprising that um it is this good, you know? Um like I say, this is what we were working with 5 years ago.
