Being chosen by God means you are not an accident but have a specific purpose to serve others, particularly those who feel invisible or alone; this identity calls believers to actively notice and care for people in need, using their unique gifts to bring God's love and peace into the world.

Good morning, friends.
Let's stand together.
And what a great way to finish a school year where we have seen God do amazing things.
There is no better way to finish this school year than to come together and praise the Lord together. And so we today is a day of celebration. So today we are going to lift our voices. We are going to have enthusiastic hearts. We're going to celebrate a great school year.
We are going to celebrate our seniors.
and we are going to praise our God above together. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we give you all praise for this incredible school year. Lord, we have seen these kids changed, Lord, and become more like you. We have seen people stepping into the will you have for their lives. Lord, we celebrate the good work you have done in the lives of our students. Lord, we celebrate an amazing staff who pours into our students every single day. Lord, we thank you for parents who partner with us. And Lord, especially, we thank you that every single day that we get to come to work here and spend our day with these incredible kids. Lord, even in these final days, remind us that you know us, that you love us, and Lord, that there is nothing that we can ever say and nothing we could ever do to make you stop loving us. So Lord, we are grateful for that. And we now we sing and we celebrate with grateful hearts that you are a good God. And it's in your son's precious name we pray. Amen.

May you be exalted in our lives.
May every choice that we make, may every word we speak, may every interaction we have bring you glory. Bring your kingdom come here on earth. In your name we pray. Amen.
You guys can be seated.
All right.
I I am I am up here with some of my favorite people in the whole world. Our seniors, can we give can we uh acknowledge our seniors?
And if you all were to look at a lot of the adults in the room this morning, you'll see like me, a lot of us are teary eyed.
We're tearyeyed singing praises because we're remembering what God has done for us, but we're also teary eyed because we're feeling very sentimental towards you all because we love you and we're really, really sad to see you go. At the same time, we're really, really happy for what God is doing in your life. Um, I was going to say that we decided to keep you and have a grade 13 at Lake Center, but then Mrs. Carlson got up in senior chapel and told you basically to get out of here, right? She said, "Shoo, shoo, shoo." Right? But I I I I don't ever want you to doubt how much we love you and how my my feelings this morning are just so blessed that we get to spend every single day with you guys because you teach us so much about what it means to be follower of Christ. And I know your parents who are a lot of them are sitting up behind us this morning feel the same way that they are so blessed to be able to be your parents. We are so blessed to be able to be your teachers and your principles and the people who work with you every single day. So don't forget that we love you that and I hope you leave this place knowing that God above loves you and that there's nothing you can ever say and nothing you can ever do to make him stop loving you. And the word for our seniors is the word for all of us this year. If you remember our theme this year, it is chosen. Do you remember that? The word chosen. And it's from first Peter 2:9.
The word chosen. And while I'm talking a lot to our seniors today, I'm talking to all of us about what it means to be chosen. Because when you're chosen, it means you're not an accident, right? And as our seniors leave here and go out and about, just like like every adult in this room has discovered from time to time, there will be days where you don't always feel like you're chosen, right? There will be days when you feel alone.
And but it's good to remember where home is.
And even as we're apart, our unity that we have in Christ keeps us at home. And so our theme for the year, 1 Peter 2:9, is when Peter is writing to people that are scattered all over the world. And they are they are they are among a people, they are among a people, a hostile people. They are Christians, but they are not welcome where they are living.
And Peter says to them, "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession."
I love that I hear some of you saying this with me. That you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. So you are chosen for a purpose. And it's not a purpose for later only, only later. It's a purpose for now. Because friends, the world is in pain. Not in some far offdistant way. I mean, the person who hides their pain and their insecurity behind anger. The classmate who laughs the loudest but is hurting the most. The person sitting all alone who maybe even thinks that nobody would notice if they disappeared.
So in every room you walk into seniors, every room you walk into for the rest of your life and for all of us, I want you to notice who in that room might feel invisible.
Learn to notice that person. Sit next to them. Learn their name. Ask the question that goes deeper than how are you? Be the person who shows up. It's not a small thing. It's a huge thing. Jesus walked toward the people everyone else walked away from. He touched the untouchable. He named the nameless. He said, "I see you." And then he died for them. He died for us. Be that. Be that in your neighborhood, in your workplace, and in your home, and in your church. Be that wherever God puts you. Use every gift God has put in you. your voice, your creativity, your kindness, your courage, all these things that we see in you every single day. Use those things, those things that make you you.
Use those things for God's glory.
Take the love of Christ into the chaos of this world. You are a royal priesthood. You are a holy nation. You are God's special possession.
We love you. We love you.
Every day that God gives us together, every day that God gives me to spend time with you all is such a blessing. We are so grateful for who you are, for who you are, and who God made you to be.
And every day that we see you living into who God made you to be helps us be more like God made us to be.
So, thank you for a great school year, for a great year, for a great 13 years, we are so grateful for all of you to spend our days with you. And friends, while we love you and that's important, the most important thing is that God above who created you. He knows you. He loves you and there is nothing you can ever say, there is nothing you can ever do to make him stop loving you. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, first of all, Lord, I thank you again for these incredible seniors. Lord, for the work that you've done in their lives, through their parents, through their teachers, through the school, Lord, through their churches.
Lord, we are so grateful to get days with kids like these.
Lord, it's not a small thing that you've chosen each of us to do your work. It's everything.
And Lord, I pray that our students as they leave, as they graduate, Lord, that they would know that you love them and that you know them and that you have a perfect plan for their life. And Lord, on days when they feel invisible or they feel not known or they feel pushed aside, Lord, may they be able to return to the thought that you love them and that you showed that love by sending your son to die for each of them.
Lord, don't let our seniors forget that this is home for them. No matter where they go, how many years pass, Lord, that they can always come back here whenever they need to and they will always find an encouraging word and a warm hug.
Lord, we pray for all of our students that no one would leave this school year without a decision to follow you. Lord, that every single student here would choose to follow you and choose to follow you every single day and to step into the chaos of this world with your shalom, with your peace, and with your love.
Heavenly Father, as we wrap up a good school year, we continue to pray that you'll go before us every single day of the summer. Lord, keep us safe. Watch over us. Help us to be carriers of your word and your love wherever we go. And we thank you again for your love for us.
And it's in your son's name we pray.
Amen.
Praise.
>> All right, everybody, let's stand up. We got one song left.
And this song is basically three words.
Allelujah.
Holy. Okay, more than three words because worthy is the lamb. So, math teachers, help me out there. But I would love to make the rafters ra just shake with this song because I got to believe that this song sounds a lot like what it's going to sound like in heaven someday. Will you guys sing this with me?

Hallelu.
Hallelujah.
For the Lord God Almighty reigns.
Hallelu.

Lord, you are worthy. And everybody said, "Amen."
All right, friends and teachers, thank you so much for celebrating and worshiping with us this morning.
Teachers, you can lead your students out. Parents, would you stay where you are for just a moment? We'll have some instructions for you in just a few minutes while we clear out the gym. So, thank you so much for worshiping. It was beautiful.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Hallelujah.
Heat. Heat.
