This session is going to be special because in this session I am going to discuss only those questions which have been sent by you my beautiful students for uh you wanted me to discuss these questions which you found tricky during your neat 2026 exam.

[00:00:24]So these questions are your questions which you wanted me to discuss. And now also during the session we are going to see whether these questions were really tricky or was it just an exam stress which made you made such mistakes. Yes, the paper was lengthy. Yes, there were few questions which were tricky. What was the tricky part or was it just NTA playing with your mind because of that exam fear? Let's delve into it and see to that. So there are few questions that you have sent me. Number one question, which of the following statements are correct with respect to the transcription unit? Now the chapter itself, molecular basis, you know, it excites it incites that feeling of awe and feeling of uh um you know that fear in us. Now see this question you have to find the correct statements with reference to transcription unit. Now read very carefully you will see these are the lines exactly from NCRT. So the transcription unit in DNA is defined primarily by three regions which is promoter, terminator and structural gene. Is this correct? Yes, absolutely true. So there are three components. Now the promoter is said to be located towards the five dash end of the structural gene upstream. Remember and it is written in the quotes that reference point is always taken with respect to the coding strand. This is true. Promoter is a DNA sequence that bind that provides binding site for RNA polymerase from where the this uh transcription initiates. So this is true. The promoter defines the template and the coding strand. Yes, if you change the location of the promoter, the coding and the non-coding strand also becomes different. And then terminator is towards the three dash end of the coding strand. The reference point is coding strand and defines the end of the process that is termination. This is true. So what is the correct statement?

[00:02:19]Not very tricky question. Lengthy. Yes.

[00:02:22]Because of that lengthiness, you know, we we are already in that uh state.

[00:02:27]Okay. Hurry up. And then we tend to forget things that we have already read in NCERT. These are clearcut NCERTT lines. Moving on to the next question here. Next question is match the following uh conjunctive tissue. Now conjunctive tissue you read about that in dicord root. It is a tissue that separates xylem and phium. Do you remember it is a tissue between this and you read about it in dicord root be it dord or monocott we have this conjunctive tissue in both to separate to separate the xylem and phim because xyllem and pheim are on different radius they are separated by this conjunctive tissue.

[00:03:36]Then subsidiary cells. These are the specialized cells in vicinity of guard cells. Whatever be the shape of guard cell. So there is this cell which is present adjacent to the guard cell which is called subsidiary cells. And then starch sheath you read about starch sheath in dort stem only. So it is in dicot stem where endodermal cells are rich in starch and hence the name. Are you getting that? So was it tricky? Uh the students who have sent me they made this mistake with respect to conjunctive tissue. But never mind it was not very tricky. It was just examination fear.

[00:04:22]You must know how to solve these questions. It is very important guys that we solve these questions together.

[00:04:29]So don't forget to attend all the classes. Don't forget to solve questions on the special classes and give as many tests as possible. Now see which of the following statements are not true regarding the restriction endonucleus.

[00:04:44]Not true. They are called molecular scissors. This is true. These are the enzymes responsible for restricting the growth of bacteria phasages and e.coli.

It says not true. It is C and D. Moving on to the next question guys. Now arrange the following steps of DNA fingerprinting.

After separation they will be transferred to the synthetic membranes nitro cellulose and nylon written in NCERTT. Step number three, can we do that now? A E C A E C answer will be this. So the sequels are clearly given in NCRT. There was nothing to get confused about. But I know these tricky questions were actually lengthy. It was the length of the exam and the ticking clock which made you mistakes made you make mistakes in uh in such questions. So we need to prepare ourselves better next time. All right. Finding out the incorrect statement about photosynthesis. It says the water splitting complex is associated with PS1. No, it is associated with PS2. when the PS electron from PS2 is lost, it is compensated by the splitting of water.

[00:08:09]So this is a wrong statement. C4 plants use C3 pathway or CO2 fixation as the main biosynthetic pathway. Now this is where you made mistake and this can be a tricky point uh statement. See understand be it C4 plants or be it C3 plants first of all you have to be very clear about the two things C3 plant and C3 cycle okay and then C4 plant and C4 cycle so please understand whether it is C3 plant or I'm talking about the plant or it is the C4 plant both the plants show C3 cycle this under this goes on in both the plants. In fact, it is the C3 cycle only during which food is produced. So, it is an absolutely right statement that C4 plants use C3 pathway as a main biosynthetic pathway. Biosynthetic is where actually starch is produced or glucose is produced. Right? Now, the difference is that C4 plants also show C4 cycle. Now this C4 cycle does not happen here right and we know that why this happens here C2 cycle will occur which will not occur here but I'm I we let's just discuss these two cycles here in C4 plant C4 cycle will occur first and then it will be followed by C3 cycle but C3 has to occur so this is true in C4 plants photorespiration does not occur this is right see it says C3 plants plants exhibit Kren's anatomy.

[00:09:56]This anatomy is a characteristic feature of only C4 plants. ATP synthesis whether it occurs C in C3 or C4 it will only and always occurs through chemiosmosis. [00:11:29]Now histones are basic proteins. This part is right. But if it is basic it can't be negative. It has to be positively charged. Now this is the wrong statement. Then it says histones are rich in basic amino acids. Yes, it is rich in basic amino acids. That's why the protein nature is also basic. This is two. Then positively charged DNA.

[00:11:52]Again wrong. See DNA is acidic and what is acidic is negatively charged. So this is a wrong statement. Now packaging of chromatin at higher levels when we are condensing the chromatin to form chromatin fibers and then chromosome then additional set of proteins called NFC proteins non-histone chromosomal proteins are also needed. So we need to mark the correct statement which is A, C and E. Answer would be three. Answer would be three. Now see here regarding the frog's anatomy says hippatic portal system is a special venus connection between liver and intestine. This is true. This is also present in humans. There are 12 pairs.

So you have to mark the correct statements guys. Correct statement would be a c and e. Answer is three. Answer is three. Then now this was less tricky. There was just one statement which was wrong. Motor neuron. Yes, the neuron which gets message to the muscle is a motor neuron.

And then it says sar shortening of sarcomia takes place during the pulling of by the pulling of actin filaments towards the center. So it is the thin filaments which will slide over the thick filament and they move towards the center. Right?

[00:15:14]While the thick filaments which represent the a band they will not move towards the center. This is true. So which is the correct statement it says.

[00:15:24]So everything other than c answer will be two.
