Uh this is Daphnis and I am Kwasi, the CTO of Saturn Aerospace and we're here launching our S-COM V6 launch two. Now this is the second launch of S-COM and the first launch of S-COM on Daphne's.
This booster has flown three times already and this will be its fourth flight making it one of the highest flying boosters in our fleet. However, booster four still maintains that.
And this is going to be a great launch.
There's eight S-COM satellites on board and the S-COM satellites to provide internet connectivity around the globe no matter how fast you're moving or how slow you're moving and no matter where you are.
Now the vehicle is fueling up nice and quickly today. We are uh testing everything out to make sure that it's still uh safe but everything looks good on the pad and as we can see uh let's have a quick look here. All stations are currently go so um all systems are green.
Launch ship is in final position.
>> Now as we count down today, I'm going to talk a bit more about SCOM and we'll have a little closer look at it.

Um so SCOM is the the the Saturn aerospace communications network. And once again with a huge upgrade to systems and technology, and with this new version comes multiple improvements such as faster connectivity, less satellites required for launching, and also connecting for aviation and marine industries. We'll launch eight SCOM V satellites into orbit using Daphnis, and this will be the heaviest payload for the vehicle so far.
Boost defense testing underway.
Launch site and no time areas are clear for launch.
Good news, the area is clear for launch, which means that there's no planes or boats in the area, and there's no animals that are going to affect us launching.
Now another small improvement is we've changed the engine skirt slightly, and on Daphnis generation two, which should come out soon. We we've got a lot more improvements to come, but there's been some issues with the old engine skirt and now we've bought the or using the new version now.
Which looks quite nice to be quite honest and the landing leg is slightly Weather balloon is clear from restricted airspace.
I was just 3 minutes and 52 50 seconds on the clock. The vehicle is looking good and everything so far is going as usual.
And about 38 seconds we'll hear a go no go poll from the LD. He's going to make sure everyone is good for launch and we're going to see the status as that happens.
So I'll bring it up now and you will can see as we go through that go no go status. This is where usually if anyone goes no go it's where at this point.

This is LD we are go for for Good news we go for launch and as you can see everyone is go. Now, the reason there's not six rolls and only three is because people are doing two rolls right now and if you want to be interested if you're interested in joining the team, there might be some opportunities coming soon and I've seen a question in the chat by lightning struck terminal. Final spaceport alarm sounded.
Just a minute and 40 seconds on the clock. Mission control getting very very ready for their launch now and we'll be able to see what happens in just a few moments.

And there goes the strongback.
Very nicely. It's smoothly moving away from the rocket and that basically carries the fuel lines and power to the fairing as well and air conditioning cuz that fairing is of course a vital part of the mission and we want to make sure that the payload is as clean as possible prior to it being in space.

And we are up in the air. No issues like last time on the real launch. And we are climbing.
Check the pressures are nominal.
Now, as we climb the vehicle is doing loads of checks prior to stage igniting.
If it notices anything wrong with the trajectory or flight path, it will FTS.
And that's been a feature for quite a lot of some time.
Uh, and of course this vehicle is very, very efficient at this point. We've got very high success rating.
You may have heard the call max Q, that's where we're experiencing the maximum stress from the atmosphere as we're climbing.
And this is where the vehicle's likely to blow up if it does.

This is everything you're seeing right now is happening in real time. I'm watching this booster fly the second stage as we go. So everything is live now.
And yes, we do see chat and that is confirmation that we are live right now.
So we are approaching stage separation here. This is where the booster cuts off its engines.
Stage two separates and continues orbiting while stage one today will do an RTLS landing on LZ-1.
This is a view from within our engine into our interstage which has two vacuum engines. So have seven engines.
20 minutes 20 seconds to flight.
Here comes stage separation.
minutes and cut off stage separation Just got first shot off.
I'm seeing smoke. We still have any go no go. I'm ready.
PC prop I got this control on the scale.
LD engines LD engines are good.
range control cover operator go We are go for visual landing.
visual FDAS is safe.
And uh I'm not sure what's happening, but stage two seems a little off. Now, we're going to see what we can do about this, but I'm not sure why that's happening.
>> In good news, the stage one is returning. Uh slightly worse news is that stage two has oh suffered a little bit. We're going to see what happens here, but hopefully we're able to continue with the mission.
And it does look like we might have lost the engine on stage two here.
Um so that unfortunately does mean we're going to have to switch over to our booster cameras just to investigate it.
Stage two of FTS triggered.
And it does sound like we've had an FTS trigger on stage two, I'm afraid. Uh bit of an unfortunate uh a uh unfortunate outcome for that. And uh there's been a fair series of uh failures during uh today.
Um so, we're going to have to have a look into that and see what went wrong.
Um but of course, we'll uh we'll let you know when we know. Uh but in good news, the booster is returning, and we're going to see what happens in a few moments time.
Now, the booster coming down very quickly here, 289 m/s.
Landing gear set up.
>> m/s. There's that landing burn. Very good there. We've ignited all four engines successfully.
Now, let's see will it land.
Looks pretty on target. We'll see the landing zone coming to view in just a second here.
And very slow now. We're going to deploy those landing legs ever so shortly.
And there's those landing legs coming out.

And we have touchdown of Daphne's booster five. Daphne's has landed.
Recovery operations moving with section 2.1 and deploy the Ninky Nonk.
So, that is unfortunately probably the worst day we've ever had at Saturn Aerospace. We've lost two of our vehicles, and we haven't had a single success. So, we're going to have to have a major look into this and see what went wrong.
Uh personally, I'm not 100% sure why it went wrong today.
Uh as we always do, we test things, but it doesn't seem to work when we actually decide to launch it. So, a big FU to KSP.
Um the devs are stupid, but anyway, I digress. This has been Saturnas Base.
