#FromLabsToLives: Jaclyn AdaskavegAdded:
My name is Jaclyn Adaskaveg.
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Plant Sciences Department, and my project focuses on breeding lima beans.
At UC Davis, we are responsible for a lot of the plant science advancing plant science research, especially in California relevant crops.
So a lot of the food, fruits and vegetables and nuts that you eat every day are being improved by people here at UC Davis.
I became a plant scientist because it combined a lot of my interests in genetics and growing plants, and what really sparked it was that I'm able to work with crops that we eat every day.
And we're working to make them better and help people.
