Because he also says later to the apostles, these types of demons can only be cast out by prayer and fasting. Okay, you still use Christ's name, but there's other things. Well, the authority of the church. So when Christ said to the apostles, all authority has been given to me. Go therefore and baptize all nations. He deputized the apostles and gave them an authority which then is passed on to us as exorcists when we're doing that. And that's how the fathers talk about this lineage of authority being passed.
