Wildlife officials move 34 elk from southern Idaho to the Panhandle

[00:00:00]Idaho Fish and Game have moved dozens of elk from Southwest Idaho to the Panhandle in an effort to reduce agricultural damage. Crews captured 37 elk over 2 days near Emmett, relocating 34 of them to North Idaho after an 8-hour drive. Fish and Game says the herd had caused more than a million dollars in crop damage among five landowners last year. Three elk died during transport from capture-related stress.
