[00:00:00]On to breaking news coming in the mystery around Twisha Sharma's death has reached the country's top court.

[00:00:06]The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the case and alleged irregularities in the probe. A note was placed before the CGI [music] seeking suo motu cognizance and CGI directed registration of the case on the 25th of May. India Today has accessed the note that was given to Chief Justice Suryakant. The note sought CGI's approval for suo motu cognizance of the systemic issues regarding investigative integrity and fairness in relation to this particular matter.

[00:00:52]I will see you Srishti. It's very clearly a very big development in the ongoing Twisha Sharma case. So, the Supreme Court has decided to take suo motu cognizance and a bench led by the Chief Justice of India itself will hear the matter on uh May 25th. Uh now, India Today has exclusively accessed the note which was placed by the top court registry before the CGI putting forth the details of the case and uh informing the CGI of everything that's been going on including the allegations and seeking permission uh to register a suo motu petition. particular note highlights the questions which are being raised regarding the investigation, the allegations that the investigation is compromised. Also, media reports and other concerning circumstances regarding Twisha Twisha Sharma's death. Now, the note has also highlighted the the allegations of mental harassment, dowry-related demands, and most importantly, the allegation of alleged institutional cover-up due to uh her mother-in-law uh being associated with the judiciary. Uh this, according with the news report, has been placed before uh the CJ and the note also very clearly records that the family had also sought the girl's family had also sought a Supreme Court monitored investigation in the matter. So, the note very clearly say it states that it appears that the family members of the deceased have questioned the response of the police authorities and also the alleged undue influence in the matter shown by both the deceased mother-in-law and also the deceased husband were both related to the field of law and are also [music] well acquainted with the judicial system. They have very clearly highlighted the allegations that both the deceased both Nisha Sharma's mother-in-law and husband are well acquainted with how law works and are in a position to misuse their influence with access to persons in authority. So, all of this was flagged before the Chief Justice of India and thereafter he the CJI has decided and approved the registration of a suo motu case and will himself hear the matter on uh coming Monday.
