The Perilous Struggle for Survival of the Small, Thick-Nosed Dinosaur, PatchAdded:
These little ones hadn't eaten anything in three whole days. Finally, their mother opened her massive jaws and spat out a huge wad of chewed-up grass. The baby dinosaurs instantly swarmed in, fighting over every last bite. They were absolutely starving. One little guy named Patchy was smaller and weaker than all his brothers and sisters. He didn't stand a chance in a feeding frenzy. Left with no other option, he crawled out of the nest to eat whatever scraps of grass had fallen outside. But just as he was happily munching away, a Trudin burst out from behind him and snatched him up in its jaws. The Trudin took off running. Once it got far enough from the pearinosaurus herd, it could enjoy this little meal in peace. Just in the nick of time, Patchy's dad showed up. This was a full-grown Pacharinosaurus, weighing in at 8 tons. The TR knew it was no match and had no choice but to drop the baby and bolt into the forest.
It was Patchy's first time outside the nest, and everything around him was brand new and fascinating. He looked up at a massive creature lumbering toward him. Suddenly, an enormous pile of dung dropped from above and buried him completely. It turned out to be a giant Edinia. Patchy kept moving and soon stumbled upon a pack of carnivores in the middle of a hunt. His sudden appearance spooked their prey and let escape. The furious predators immediately turned their attention to him instead. Little Patchy was completely outmatched. Luckily, his mother arrived just in time and pulled him to safety. Days turned into weeks, and Patchy's brothers and sisters could already knock down small trees. But Patchy couldn't even budge his sapling.
He actually got himself tangled up in the branches. His family didn't know what to do with him. Before long, winter arrived. The Packarosaurus herd had no choice but to begin their migration.
Patchy fell in line and set off on a journey that would last for months. As they passed through a forest, the weather turned without warning.
Lightning struck the trees and sparked a massive wildfire. The herd scattered and ran for their lives, but the flames spread faster than they could move. By the time Patchy's family reached the edge of the forest, they found a group of T-Rexes hunting right outside. Dad had to lead the family on a detour.
Midun, a massive tree suddenly crashed down and cut Patchy and one of his brothers off. Dad immediately turned back to save them. But once he got the two little ones out, he realized mom and the other kids were gone. The fire was getting worse, so Dad had no choice but to get the two young ones out first.
What he didn't know was that mom and the others were already in serious trouble.
The hunting T-Rexes had found them. A packarinosaurus was no match for a T-Rex. When dad heard the desperate cries from far away, he sprinted toward them and left the two little ones somewhere safe. But they waited and waited and dad never came back. Then out of nowhere, a T-Rex spotted Patchy and his brother. They scrambled under a large tree, but it wasn't long before they were found. Just as they were about to be eaten alive, Dad came charging back one more time. In Patchy's eyes, his dad was the strongest creature alive, unbeatable, unstoppable. But this time they were wrong. Their opponent was a full-g grown gorgossaurus. There was simply no way a packarinosaurus could win that fight. The two young dinosaurs watched in horror as their father was killed. Thankfully, Patchy and his brother managed to survive both the fire and the attack. But their mom and the rest of their siblings never came back.
With nowhere else to turn, they had no choice but to keep following the migrating herd. Now they were carefully picking their way across thin ice.
Without warning, the ice gave way and several dinosaurs plunged into the freezing water below.
