The ancient Persian people, originating from Mazandaran province, made groundbreaking contributions to human civilization including inventing irrigation and refrigeration systems, establishing the first women's rights to own businesses and land, creating the world's first monotheistic religion (Zoroastrianism), drafting the first human rights declaration (Cyrus Cylinder), developing algebra, astronomy, and medicine, inventing the tar (precursor to the guitar), establishing the first postal service and highways, and creating walled gardens that gave us the word 'paradise'; despite their rich 4,000-year heritage, their contributions were largely ignored for the past 100 years due to imperialism and propaganda.

Blip - New Poem - History of the Persian people. #poetrycommunity #poem #poetry #fyp #shortsAdded:
But 4,000 years, his heritage is ancient.
Rarely given its due respect, a tragic arrangement. Mazandaran, the province from which his blood was born. The inventors of irrigation and refrigeration, bringing humans out of starvation and scorn.
His people were the first to give women real rights to own business, hold office, own land, well before the rest of the world could even understand.
Progressive and forward-thinking, his ancestors left their mark. But over the last 100 years of propaganda, their contributions were left in the dark.
Their rich history ignored, yet another victim of imperialism, that rampant and evil cause. He wishes to provide some edification. So, let's take a moment, a calm pause.
It was his ancients who worshipped the first monotheistic deity.
Zoroastrianism created the foundations of the world's modern religious piety.
His people created the first declaration of human rights. The Cyrus Cylinder documented the need to bring us all out of plight.
Safety for all, they turned their attention to the arts, wide and far.
Strum, strum, they played the tar, a precursor to the modern guitar.
From music to words, they laid the foundations of literature.
The man proudly stands in the shadows of Rumi, Hafez, Ferdowsi, bound to their soulful ligature. From arts to science and math, they were the thinkers who brought us algebra, astronomy, medicine, a critical path.
Paths to the heavens and paths to the people, impacts that stayed. They invented the world's first postal service, even invented what we now call highways.
But amongst his favorites of the Persian gifts, from poems to science to that desert ice, is the invention of walled gardens.
His people are the originators of the word paradise.
They gave us arts, culture, heaven and hell. The tapestry of his people, like their rugs, is vast.
Their history, their warmth, their hospitality will always last.
This history lesson must never be skipped.
The last 100 years does not define them.
This has just been a mere blip.
Thank you.
