"This Invasive Plant is Destroying Homes Across America in 2026 😱 (And It’s in Your Neighborhood)"追加:
This is crazy.
I ain't never seen bamboo like this.
And it's coming all up her backyard.
This is bamboo growing all in my grandmother's backyard.
It's beautiful, but it's coming up on her property. Look at this.
I ain't never seen nothing like this.
They're coming up to our house. It's real close to our house. Look at this.
That's her back door.
>> We need your help. We live in Milwaukee.
We seem to have bamboo in our backyard.
How do we get rid of it? It just keeps going.
This is definitely the mother lo.
Another update.
My husband is cutting this down.
Per my request.
Again, this is not the solution to the problem, but it's a maintenance until we can get this figured out.
And this is like adult bamboo. Like this is big b thick bamboo.
>> This and your neighbor will sue you because it spreads like wildfire, can even jump property lines and can crack your foundation. But >> this can be the reality of bamboo planted in the ground. So if you >> you know those things you just don't know until you buy a property and then you find out you didn't know and it was a bad idea. This is one of those. Got to talk about it. I made a video previously about one of the worst things that you could find in your backyard and we got to talk about it again. It's that bad because there are video after video after video after video of people finding out that when you find bamboo in your backyard, front yard, sideyard, your house is in peril. Let's get down to us. Watch these videos because you just can't get rid of this stuff. This homeowner paid me $1,000 to remove this bamboo, but one thing is for certain, it'll always grow back. There are two different types of bamboo. Clumping, which stays in a confined area sometimes, or running bamboo, which go everywhere all over your yard and evict you out the house. In this case, we have clumping bamboo. And no matter how much we dig, one of the roots will be like, "I'm not leaving, little Johnny." And it'll always come back. Whenever you're dealing with bamboo, make sure the customer knows that there's a 99% chance that it'll come back. Drop in comments your bamboo. I mean, you got to pretty much trench the yard, put a barrier down, and then poison it, and hopefully it doesn't come back for a few years.
You're just fighting the battle to fight the battle. There are a few trees in this area that are non-native. Well, at least in Florida where I'm at, and I'm sure it's different in all parts of the country. We had this thing called the popcorn tree years ago, and I think it came from China, and it will I mean, it'll grow to a full-blown tree in 2 years. And then you got bamboo that you got running and then you got clumping.
The running will lift driveways. I mean like there's video after video of even, you know, where it came from in Asia of it lifting houses, lifting sidewalks, and then how do you get rid of it? You you going to tunnel under the house?
You're going to have to cut around the house and then hopefully poison it.
>> Don't ever plant bamboo next to your house, okay? Cuz this is what can happen.
Yeah, that's that's what you think it is. Uh that's an interior wall. Yep. And that's the exterior.
Thankfully, it's all dead, but um yeah, wouldn't recommend it.
>> So, I showed this on my last video, the original video, to show you that once it gets in the house, it will do random things. I mean, like, here's a video right here of it going along somebody's house and then going up the porch, going in the walls, and this is how that happened. It is crazy.
>> Look at that. Going all the way up inside the house.
Damn.
That going inside the house.
>> It's going.
>> It's basically a grass is what it is.
And it will just grow wherever grass will grow. Oh no, y'all.
Bamboo is starting to grow again. That is not good. Oh crap. We're going to have a rough one this year. Look at this.
Two.
Three. Bro, this is about a week.
Not even. I did not see these last week.
So they just popped up. That's four.
This one right here.
Oh my goodness, bro. Five.
Six.
Oh man, we got seven right now.
Eight.
This is all coming from the >> You're just buying time. You're going to eventually have to tear that entire yard up. Anybody else out there got any other opinions? If you're an expert landscaper, comment down below. But other than trying to poison this stuff, you can't even hardly cut it with a mower. It's so thick. I mean, look how thick those stalks are. And it will just grow a foot a day, 2 feet a day. This is bamboo growing all in my grandmother's backyard.
It's beautiful. But it's coming up on her property. Look at this.
I ain't never seen nothing like this.
They're coming up to our house. It's real close to our house. Look at this.
That's her back door.
>> The days are numbered on that house.
Three or four years. And it's going to start lifting that back that back area.
Concrete's going to be cracked. You're not even going to be able to get in and out of the backyard.
>> Utility room.
Got to figure out what to do when the city won't do nothing about it.
This is crazy.
I ain't never seen bamboo like this.
And it's coming all up her backyard.
So, I guess the seeds have dispersed and landed here. Look at these. Get up close on it.
Oh, and they're so thick.
They're just shooting up out of the ground. And they come up out of the ground real thick.
Look at that. That's bamboo.
taking over.
Lord have mercy.
>> Hey, so check this out, y'all. I went down a rabbit hole. Um, I went out a I don't normally go down rabbit holes, but I just want to say I just want to put this I'm I'mma put this out there. If I ever move somewhere and there's a carrying, if I ever move somewhere and I have a caring problem, easy fix. I'm I'm going to just tell you right now, I'm throwing bamboo seeds in your yard. Yep. I You can call call Hey, I'm throwing bamboo seeds in your in your front yard, in your backyard, cuz see not you ain't going to have to worry about me no more. You going to be spending your time trying to get no bamboos out.
If I ever if I ever have if I ever have a can problem, I'm just bamboos will be my solution. Don't worry about Hey, so check this out y'all. I went on a rabbit. So disclaimer, don't do that.
That's terrible. Terrible idea. And it doesn't work like that. It's not seeds.
I don't think I think you have to plant the stalk, the the bulb. But uh that is that is that is like the worst thing you could probably do to somebody. I'm pretty sure it's illegal. Disclaimer like that. Wisteria Vines, Cudoo, Carolina Creeper, all those will run a pasttor, a backyard, whatever, man. What are your thoughts?
Comments down below.
>> Right, we're marking the bamboo because it's growing at a stupid speed. So, this is this morning. You see that? That notch there was yesterday afternoon.
>> Yeah. So, we've had some rain last night, but let's put the time on it, which is 9:47. Right. 9:47 next to that one.
>> Better not rain again.
>> Better not. I got washing up.
>> That's terrible.
>> Right. Let's see what happens when we get back later.
As you can see, it's grown a fair bit.
Hannah's been marking it.
So, that was this morning. So, it's actually grown since we did it this morning.
Actually crazy.
It's all fun and games until there's giant crack going up that brick wall and then it gets in the neighbor's yard and then the next neighbor's yard and the next neighbor's yard and 20 years from now the whole place is a jungle.
This ain't funny. This is this is the real McCoy. Like this is the real deal.
Like this is like you know the insects arriving on Starship Trooper. This is why you should never build a house where bamboo once grew. At first everything looked normal. Then the floor started cracking. What people don't realize is that bamboo roots can stay hidden underground for years. Once they find moisture again, they start growing back.
These shoots may look soft, but they're strong enough to crack concrete. Most people make one mistake. They cut the bamboo above the surface, but underground, the roots are still alive, spreading beneath the house.
>> I mean, this goes with a lot of things.
If you've got an oak tree or a pine tree next to your house, those roots are underneath your house. I saw a floor cut open of a house with a giant pine tree next to it and it was just like nothing but pine tree roots and the plumbers were having to like go in try to repplum this house. It was almost impossible.
The whole foundation had to be cookie cuttered squared out. It was nuts. But I tell you, this is the kind of stuff that if you're buying real estate, owning real estate, anything to do with real estate, you better find out or you're going to find out. I mean, I would take a good look in your inspection period.
See, is there anything random in the backyard, and this goes with looking for sink holes. I'm going to make a sinkhole video next, I think. So, don't forget to like and subscribe. But, uh, if you find anything like that on that property, you better have a plan or you factor it into the price or you make it known or you get some disclosures because some of this stuff, you don't want to be responsible for what your stuff does to somebody else's stuff. I mean, like, if you've got running bamboo and you bought the property and you know it's about to be a thing on your neighbors, that might be a point of contention. People say, "Oh, well, you're not liable for that."
Well, you can sue for anything. Depends on how much money you got. #not a lawyer. I'm just saying that uh you don't want to be that guy with all of a sudden in five, six years the house is being settled because there's a giant uh bamboo route underneath it. But that's all I got. Don't forget to like and subscribe. If you're looking to buy or sell real estate on the Gulf Coast for Alabama, my email is down below. Be happy to help you or find somebody that can anywhere in the country. I will see you guys on the next video because this needs to be known by everybody. That's why I make these videos, so everybody knows what to look out for.
That's it. On to the next one.
