[00:02:18]Uh so, the new discovery of wolf fangs gives us elixir of precision crafting.

[00:02:23]Tomatoes gives us crab soup and meat salad. [music] And then we have a new challenge of killing 40 wolves.

[00:02:37]I'm not going to bother chasing the nanny goats cuz like they're kind of tanky and they are annoying to chase, but I'll like kill one at least for the uh being able to check it off the list.

[00:02:50]If it runs into the brush, one tactic you can use is hit T, which is like the auto target, and it will lock on even if you don't have a line of sight. So, that's not the goat I was fighting.

[00:02:59]That's a full goat, not a nanny goat.

[00:03:02]Which I'll kill anyway. But, yeah, here's the nanny goat.

[00:03:08]Nanny goats for bezoars, goat bezoars and rough hide. And you're going to get more rough hide from higher-level goats and then the boars that are lower level.

[00:03:21]And then these mountain goats are uh fighters.

[00:03:28]And their move set is like pretty nutty.

[00:03:31]So, they can be actually kind of challenging to kill, but you've got regular goats as well. So, that one's dead.

[00:07:02]It is fun. You'll likely not regret it if you like games like this. So, if you like Valheim, Enshrouded, you know, games of that nature, this is absolutely up anyone's alley that plays games like that.

[00:17:05]Meaning that like there's no point of interest that are just going to be randomized. They're all like predetermined for better or for worse.

[00:17:16]Um and then once I do a little bit more foothill um Here you go.

[00:17:20]discoveries we'll want foothills iron ingots [music] for the toolbox.

[00:17:28]We'll want tanned leather and linen fabric for the shoemaker's bench the tanning rack and the spinning wheel.

[00:17:36]So, there's a whole bunch of stuff that uh we're going to want as a consequence of discovering the foothills to be built back at our uh hut.

[00:17:46]I'm calling it a hut cuz it's really not anything worth writing home about yet.

[00:17:50]God, I keep falling right there.

[00:17:55]So, I'm not all I'm not all I somehow didn't even know this island was here.

[00:18:00]I've sailed by it like I don't know a dozen times and it was here the whole time.

[00:20:56]These enemies are like uh fairly stronger than than anything I've fought so far. Cuz they don't go from like five to six, they're like five to seven.

[00:21:08]And they're in larger groups and with like ranged weapons and I can't aim apparently.

[00:22:19]So, that's another discovery for hard grog, which is my favorite grog. Damage resistance is awesome.

[00:22:24]Sweet lime juice for endurance and refreshing tomato juice for endurance and then also the ability to plant lime saplings.

[00:22:39]The amount of flax you need is stupid, so collect all of it.

[00:22:45]And this camp should be, I don't know, quarter cleared, half cleared, something like that. So, let's get back in there.

[00:27:07]So without spoiling too much, generally one of the first things you'll find making landfall on the um the foothills is like an iron mine.

[00:27:20]Uh they're pretty easy to spot. They look like that. But they happen to they're like points of interest that look like that.

[00:27:26]Or they're kind of like a pit in the earth.

[00:27:28]And that's probably the resource you need the most out of everything.

[00:27:32]Because the iron is obviously going to allow you to like upgrade your gear.

[00:27:36]Paired with like tan tights and and the like.

[00:27:43]All right, revenge time.

[00:30:37]And um you're not going to need as much divi-divi as you're going to need flax, but you're still going to need a fair bit of it cuz there's a lot a lot of the upgrades um are going to require wood.

[00:31:09]So, I could run around looking like this which screams Dark Souls to me for some reason.

[00:31:56]The captain flew in a rage, drew his saber, and cut down three on the spot, then shot another. We dropped three more ourselves. The survivors were hanged by Hands personally. They shouldn't have come. Fools to the bone, just like their captain.

[00:32:11]So, looks like Richard's was a in a tight spot having um Hands steal the artifact from him and then when he went to go reclaim it murdering his men.

[00:32:29]All right. Uh the last of the needle in a haystack camps is this way, but there's a mountain range here, so I'm going to obviously going to have to go around.

[00:33:08]I have not really spotted anything that looks like an iron mine. Most of the foot foothills will have them, but maybe this one doesn't or I haven't just found it yet.

[00:35:12]Oh, I pissed off probably more than I can chew. Oh, but there's a grenadier.

[00:35:17]So, these um bomb throwers can work to your advantage by letting them bomb you and then having the enemies stand on them to get gipped.

[00:35:34]As long as you're not around for when they explode, it's relatively hilarious.

[00:35:44]It also uh whoops, and now they're fighting goats.

[00:35:51]>> [laughter] >> And just like the um the marksmen, the grenadiers are absolutely dog doo-doo when it comes to melee combat. So, now that the two sailors are busy, Oh, wow, I was Oh, you blew up a whole damn section of that mountain.

[00:38:12]And then we got the last piece of information about Hands. Hands sent the Unsinkable out with his trusted men to bring back more prisoners.

[00:38:21]The old ones are already gone. Hands keeps dragging them off one by one to god knows where. I don't know who will they'll hit uh merchant ships rarely come to the archipelago now and Tortuga lies in ruins. Good luck with uh to the lads. If they don't bring back fresh meat, I'm afraid we'll be the ones dragged off next.

[00:38:45]So, if it hasn't been made obvious by now, Hands Israel Hands is just a complete whack job who's like just murdering everyone.

[00:38:56]Um but there you go. The uh that section of the quest is done, Needle in a Haystack, and now the next step is to board the Unsinkable which uh we would need a better ship. It It we would have a really hard time dealing with to take down a ship called the Unsinkable.

[00:39:15]But here is the Drake pistol and uh the last thing I wanted to do is to head to the mines. Now, what's silly about this is I have like no inventory space for for iron, but at least I'll get like my first hit of it.

[00:39:34]I guess in more importantly, this it might not be, but I'm pretty sure it is.

[00:41:34]So, this key discovery gives me iron foothills ingots, iron axe, iron pickaxe, anvil, 24 pounders, 36 pounders, iron ware, iron bullets, and nails. Don't make those nails, they're more They You get more of them, but they're made of iron, not copper, and they're they're indistinguishable basically, so go for the cheaper nails, I would say.

[00:42:20]A better backpack does require tanned leather, so it's a bit of a process. It's not like an instant win.

[00:42:28]But I will invest these materials into getting my crafting facilities upgraded so I can get better everything, ideally.

[00:42:54]Uh I'll drop the fiber. The thing is, if I come back to this later on, um I can just pick up the fiber that I just dropped because it's persistent enough to allow for that.

[00:43:45]So, some of these rock outcroppings, like this one, can have iron.
