Stuck in Trauma Loops

[00:00:00]So, I started seeing these patterns that told me this is nervous system driven.

[00:00:06]That's a dysregulated nervous system.

[00:00:08]It's it's stuck in that survival response, which really will just loop us between stress activation and the trauma shutdown. Yeah, that's what I wanted to ask. Like cuz people alternate, right?

[00:00:18]They flip between like trying and trying and trying and doing everything and being busy and running and avoiding and fighting people to like I give up. I can't anymore. And that you see that flip a lot.

[00:00:29]>> they they do. And it's also because when we come out of that shutdown response, we go into the stress response. We don't go immediately into the parasympathetic.

[00:00:39]We go back into the stress response from where we came from, but we're not we're not having the capacity. We we haven't changed anything, and so we're still now experiencing all of this adrenaline, all this stress. We don't feel like we're capable, so we shut back down. So, it literally does become this loop of stress overwhelm, stress overwhelm. Mhm.

[00:00:59]And then this is what accumulates the damage over time.
