The video explains that religious conversion was used as a mechanism of control during the enslavement of African peoples, with coastal enslavers adopting Christianity as a way to dominate enslaved populations, and this practice is connected to the historical depiction of Jesus as a black man, which has played a significant role in the history of race and racism.

Learning Every African Country and What Freedom Really Meant追加:
So, my masters is in American history, but my research area is contemporary faiths in the United States. The main ones are Jewish, Muslims, and Christian.
>> As they say, the Abrahamic religions.
>> When you look at Jesus, I always say Jesus was a black man because one, the Roman government was looking for him before he was born.
>> That's hilarious.
He was a refugee cuz he had to escape to Egypt and an immigrant that was homeless and didn't have a place to lay his head at night and depended on the charity of others.
Definitely what you with with degree you have, you can add more to it. The painting of white Jesus is by Michelangelo, a picture of his cousin.
Now becomes the depiction of Christ.
This plays a key role in race and racism because different territories of then a non-United States, enslavement of our people is older than the history of this nation. Different territories have different ways in which they can impose enslavement because we cannot accept any religion in Christ. That shifts as a lot more of those coastal enslavers start going to adopt our religion into these people as a way of control. This weird relationship definitely has a whole lot to do with this certain image of Christ.
