Drought monitor update

[00:00:00]Good Thursday morning. We're drying out after we got some more heavy rain through the area yesterday and actually through early this morning. Yesterday's numbers are looking pretty good again.

[00:00:09]Still getting some beneficial rain across the area and the new drought monitor is out today and things are looking better. As you can see with the drought monitor compared to last week, we got more areas dropping from the exceptional drought down to severe.

[00:00:24]Well, of course, that doesn't sound too good, but again, we are making strides in the right direction. Now, look at the dates of May 19th through May 25th, which is the range that they put into the drought monitor and you can see some good numbers there. From Tampa, just shy of an inch all the way to Zephyrhills, just shy of 10 inches of rain and even Clearwater, you're looking over 3 inches. So, the forecast is pretty wet over the course of the next week. So, if this continues, expect to make some more strides in the drought monitor and expect an even better update for next Thursday.
