Full literacy in just four years. The people adore him and world leaders take notice. His deputy Bernard Coard grows jealous of Bishop's popularity. Secret meetings begin among hardline communists in the party. In October 1983, Coard's faction places Bishop under house arrest. Thousands march to free their beloved leader. Bishop escapes to rally his supporters.
