[00:00:06]>> Um, we've had a huge debate from 6:00.

[00:00:10]I've said my piece repeatedly. What's your response to 25 million quid from StarMA to secure Jewish communities this morning?

[00:00:19]>> Look, Jeremy, two things can be true at the same time. Um, we're appreciative of the support from the government in terms of uh defense and uh and security expenditure, but we all know that's not the answer. We cannot build walls high enough. We cannot have enough security guards. We cannot protect our community unless we deal with the base issue. And the point that you made before I would completely endorse. We understand in this country and we've been banging on about it for years now that there is an unholy alliance between the radical left and elements of the Muslim community which have been uh politicized and there has been a sincerious level of anti-semitism within that community.

[00:01:05]Jonathan Hall, the independent purveyor of uh terrorist leg terrorism legislation yesterday said that there is a national emergency, >> the biggest national emergency since co is what he said about anti-semitism >> 100%. And that is the way this has to be dealt with. And until all people from across the political spectrum wake up and understand that this is not just an attack on the Jewish community, this is an attack on British values.

[00:01:32]>> Yeah. then we will be in a repeat repeat repeat mode. And I'm I'm afraid to say that when you look across the political class, there are very few people prepared to stand up and call it for what it is. And until we do, we will be back on these shows banging on about the same issue. We've had so many incidents over the last six months. It's been weekly effectively, even more so. the huts ambulances, the the the tragedy in Manchester, the arson attacks. What are we waiting for as a country to wake up and say this is a national emergency and we need to treat it as such?

[00:02:12]>> It's interesting. I've just heard a text that I should throw at you actually because you said that whilst you are grateful uh to the government for the acknowledgement there's going to be 25 million pounds put to the security of the Jewish community. You said it's deeper than that. We'll go back to that.

[00:02:25]This from Max morningz. I'm in Edinburgh. So 25 million quid. Yeah, it's good. But the two people that were stabbed in broad daylight yesterday were simply walking down the street and weren't at a synagogue. So that's not exactly protecting the >> That's my point. That's my point. We cannot protect every street, every restaurant, every cafe. We cannot. It is impossible. We need to deal with the underlying issues at the same time. You know, I've woken up to be put on a WhatsApp group chat this morning of a group of parents who are worried about the way in which their children are going to travel to school this morning.

[00:03:01]Is it on the tube? Is it on the bus? Do they need to go with them and protect them? This is not the Britain that we grew up in. This is not the Britain that we recognize. And until we treat it as such, until we call out the underlying issue, until we deal with the political opportunists who are using this as a political football, and you know, I'm sick to death of reading these the pronouncements on it from this and that politicians saying how they have sympathy with the Jewish community and at the same time fermenting hate by and using it as a political football. The time for that is now over and that is across the political class.

[00:03:43]I've been vocal to the point of non-stop. I find it I don't understand and I'm being completely serious with you. Um, I I don't understand how Jonathan I mean I find all racism abhorrent, but it worries me that that that 250,000 people in this country simply because of where they came from or or what their religion or or anything at all are being are being are being are being treated in a way I and I wish the message I'm I'm with you about the ideology. We have to ban the IGC and the Muslim Brother, ban hate marches to get in the schools and stop this vile spewing. But and we need politicians that are brave enough to do that. But we also need to look at the fact that the that the Jewish community is treated so differently to any other community and that is fundamentally wrong.

[00:04:27]>> Jeremy, I grew up in East London. I grew up in Orford, right? So I I I you know, I understand London. I've been a Englishman the whole I've lived in England the whole of my life, but I also spend six to eight weeks a year through my business interests in the Gulf and and in Arab countries. I have an office up in out in Abu Dhabi. I understand the way these people operate. I understand the I love being there. But it does not make me an Islamophone to say that there is a serious issue on the radical left and within portions of the Muslim community. And until we are prepared boldly and honestly to say that until we call it out day in day out, we are going to be on repeat repeat mode. And I'm afraid to say no one in the community across the political spectrum has been prepared to be that honest about the issue. We cloak the words. We hide behind them because we're nervous of the fallout. But I'm afraid the time has come that when we're seeing these events weekly, if not even daily, we cannot just sit by because we are then honestly we're participating in this process.
