Okay. Now, where does this insulin come from? Insulin come from this pancreatic cells. Okay? So it travels through the bloodstream and then it reaches the cell.
This is the I mean, this is the part the insulin come in, help the glucose to enter into the cell. And how does insulin does that? The thing insulin does is it binds to the insulin on the cell surface, there's this insulin receptors. So it's going to bind it on the cell surface. And when it bind, there's a lot of reaction take place.
Okay? You have it it's going to activate some proteins called GLUT4 transporters.
Which moves to the cell membrane and then that's the one allowing the glucose from bloodstream enter into the cell.
Okay? This is the most important process in the metabolism. And every second there's millions and millions of cells kind of do that. Just, you know, do just to summarize, you got this insulin produced in the better cell. They go through the bloodstream. Okay? And then what does this go to the cell membrane and then attach to the cell membrane and activate a protein called a GLUT4 transporter, which will help the uh, glucose from the bloodstream enter into the cell, so your blood glucose goes down. A lot of times what happens is insulin, we call this insulin resistant, okay? This is the body is not going to respond to insulin very well. The door stays partly closed and then what happened, the glucose remains in the blood. And the pancreas keep on producing more insulin thinking the body needs more insulin to drain to bring your blood sugar down, but that's not the case. The main thing is insulin is not working.
So, this goes on for days, months, years, and what does it lead to?
Obesity, pre-diabetes, fatty liver, heart disease, you name it, anything.
That's why the diabetes such a big problem in the United States, okay?
We're going to talk about eight products can increase or improve your insulin sensitivity, okay? Number one is apple cider vinegar. So, when you take the apple cider before the meal, it reduce the post-meal blood sugar. But, how does it do? It helps in the stomach emptying and improve the insulin response. So, recommended use is you take 1 Tbsp diluted in water before meals. Again, apple cider vinegar is going to improve insulin sensitivity. Number two, cinnamon, okay? It's a natural compound with that uh, improve the insulin signaling. And the benefits are blood glucose uptake, lower fasting blood sugar, increase insulin sensitivity, okay? Number three, berberine, it's a natural compound extracted from several plants. And the research, what does it show?
