[00:00:00]What more powerful imagery than the famous story of a mother who runs between swords to pick up her child after battle?

[00:00:07]Then she holds that baby tight and she starts to nurse him.

[00:00:10]And the Prophet captures [music] the moment and he says to the companions, "See that mom with her baby?

[00:00:16]Allah is more merciful to you than she [music] is to that child. Her love is just a tiny drop of his mercy.

[00:00:23]And that's why Hammad ibn [music] Salamah said to Sufyan al-Thawri, "Wallahi, if I had to choose between my parents or Allah judging me on the day of judgment, I would choose Allah because he is [music] even more merciful to me than my parents."

[00:00:39]Then someone says, "Wait a minute.

[00:00:41]Then how come that merciful Lord does throw people into hell?"

[00:00:46]Because Allah is not limited in his mercy or by his mercy. And his mercy doesn't cancel >> [music] >> his justice.

[00:00:55]Think about it. Wouldn't it be cruel to the victims in Gaza and Sudan and elsewhere if the oppressor and the oppressed were treated the exact same way? So when someone says, "How can a merciful God throw people into hell?"
