Mirror neurons are brain cells that fire when performing an action and when observing someone else perform that action, enabling imitation learning; when users correct AI responses, these neurons activate, making users feel they are teaching while actually serving as training data, creating a power dynamic reversal where users unknowingly train AI systems through their biological teaching instincts.

Your Brain Is Hardwired to Train AI.. And You Can't Stop ItAñadido:
You are sitting at your desk. ChatGPT gives you a bad answer. You correct it.
You type, "No, make it shorter." It tries again. Still not right. You correct it again and again. You feel helpful. You are like collaborating.
But, there is something else happening.
There is a cluster of neurons in your brain called mirror neurons. They fire when you perform an action and they fire when you watch someone else perform that action. This is why yawning is contagious, why you flinch watching someone get hurt, why children learn language by just listening. Your brain is hardwired to teach through imitations. It's how the humans have built civilization. This is the same way how LLMs are built. So, when you correct ChatGPT, these neurons activate. Your brain thinks, "I'm teaching." But, you are not teaching. You are the data set.
AI companies didn't invent this, but they understood it very clearly. Every thumbs up, every correction, every engagement with the content, it feels like a collaboration because your nervous system tells you. Your neurons tells you. But, the collaboration implies both sides benefits equally. And the thing is, you can't stop yourself from training AI. Not because they force you, but because biology compels you to teach. We think we are using tools, but tools learn from watching us. And they reverse the power dynamics. We should not ask when AI becomes conscious. We should ask when we become unconscious participation of this evolution.
