[00:00:24]Her husband, Diego Silang, became one of the most dangerous revolutionary leaders in the country. The Spanish wanted him dead.

[00:00:35]Many believed the revolution would finally collapse, but instead of hiding in fear, Gabriela Silang did something nobody expected. She took command of the rebellion herself. Wearing traditional warrior clothing and riding through the mountains on horseback, she began leading Filipino fighters against Spanish forces. Soon, stories about Gabriela Silang spread across nearby towns. Spanish soldiers became terrified of her growing army.
