Human rights violations: Is Kenya digressing back to the independence days?

Human rights are inherent entitlements that individuals possess by virtue of being human, not gifts granted by the state, and must be actively protected and realized through the actions of duty bearers (government officials) who are obligated to respect, fulfill, and promote these rights; leaders must serve the people with humility rather than ruling over them, as demonstrated by Kenya's constitutional framework and the ongoing struggle for economic, political, and environmental freedoms.
