Quality road infrastructure requires thoughtful design with adequate width for future expansion, dedicated turning lanes, emergency lanes, proper lane markings with reflectors, and smooth surfaces using concrete and asphalt construction. Effective road planning should include public participation in decision-making, proper inspection and approval processes, and consideration of parking facilities. Well-designed roads reduce driver stress, improve traffic flow, and support long-term economic development by accommodating current and future traffic needs.

Guyana 🇬🇾 | road trip in FloridaAdded:
Good morning, good afternoon, good night.
It's Saturday and me and wife, we taking a trip, a road trip in Florida. We're in Florida taking a road trip. I want to show you guys our roads here, our traffic here.
And I wish Cayana Road can be like this.
Maybe in the future they'll 2026. They should have designed roads to um accommodate for the traffic flow that they have there now and for future traffic.
I think they should leave a lot of room when they're building road for expansion in the future instead of building these tight tight small tiny roads.
You'll see what Florida road look like.
and uh see for yourself how it really should be. This is like uh this is the real thing.
Florida have really nice roads. It's designed well. It's designed for the future. They have a lot of room on the sides. Um they have lane in the middle that that's there, but it's not being used. It's there for future use or for turning lanes or they use it for emergency. If you have an accident on the road, you can pull up in the middle where nobody drives and traffic will still flow.
Police is right there.
My god.
You're sitting in the middle.
So check it out guys. Look, we have two lane going, two lane coming, and you have like two more lane in grass in the middle there waiting for a future expansion.
You even have a turning lane right here.
and it's nice and goes around in a nice beautiful curve that you're not running off the edge of the road into the dirt and uh cause um breaking away of the road. So, they make the road the lanes wide enough for you to make a proper turn. When you got to make a turn, you have enough room that you don't hit the other guy from the other lane. You don't have to really worry too much. you can relax and drive which uh you know it takes away a lot of anxiety issues.
Nobody being like pissed off at each other on the road.
Nice traffic flow.
Everybody's driving with uh enough space between cars and not bumper to bumper, mirror to mirror.
>> Okay. honking at each other, waving your cut glass at each other.
You don't have none of that here cuz everything is designed really nice.
So, you don't have to really kill each other on this road trying just trying to get from point A to point B.
There's a driving theater over there.
You pull up there with your car and watch watch a movie. Sit right in your car and connect to a a radio station and you can hear the uh movie playing on your uh on your radio in your car.
>> Gas price. Gas price over here. Look at that. $419.
Diesel is $4.89.
Regular gas is $419 at that gas station.
Boat and RV storage >> cemetery.
>> Look at all this road here. Look how beautiful that is.
>> And this is not a major highway major highway. It has like four lanes.
>> We also have um you see all the markings on the road. All the lines are there to help you.
>> They also has reflectors along with those markings. So at night in rain and stuff like that, you get your light will reflect on those reflectors and it keep you in your lane.
Well, well well thought out, well designed and this road here is smooth. It's not just concrete.
They have concrete and they have um asphalt on top of it to make it nice and smooth. A real road.
That's what we need over there.
I hope the uh people in charge of the roadways are looking at this.
Even in the corner where uh the own the the road ends, they still have an extra piece pointed at the corner. They still have an extra piece in the corner there after the white line.
So even if you step on the line, you're not stepping out in the grass. You're not breaking up the road. The road stays good forever.
>> Shoulder.
>> Yeah, the shoulder.
This is how they need to build road in Guy, man. Seriously, I know a lot of people um contractors and stuff building roads over there.
They don't want to build it good because they want repeat work.
They want to want it to break so they can get jobs.
As far as I'm concerned, there's lots of roads to be built in that country, you're not going to run out of work. And there's always going to be different new construction needs to be done in the country. So, if you keep building crappy roads over there or anything crappy, your country is not going to grow. It's going to go it's going to get stuck in one place.
You're not going to be able to build new stuff, make things easier for people and cheaper because you just keep repeating, repeating, repeating. People are always going to be aggravated.
People are always going to be fighting with each other.
No good, man. No good. There's a lot of money to be made there. The country is now growing. There's a lot of land.
There's a lot of development needed.
You're not going to run out of work. I can't see it happening.
at least not in your lifetime. The other thing when they're building over there any kind of construction, I don't know if the um the public are have any opinion on that. Do they keep meetings for um when they're doing new construction? Are is the public have any uh uh voice in it, advice?
Are they talking about um what they're building where and the people that lives in those area are they allowed to have a say in it? You know, all those things are important so you can make the correct decision when you when you're building stuff.
So if they're not doing stuff like that, they should start doing things like that.
>> Having public meetings so everybody could go and voice their opinion. You know, it's important because if you don't do that, you're missing out a lot.
You're going to be building stuff sometime. You're not going to build it the right way. People are not going to be happy with it. You want to do everything and do it nice. Do it correctly for everybody to be happy.
That's a new car wash. Drive in there and wash your car.
New building.
Can't see if I got it repair shop.
See how clean the roads are too.
I wish in the village area all those one one lane road that they built everywhere they need to build that thing wide enough for a two lane two lane when you going around the corners your wheel falling off the road breaking off the edge damaging the road I don't know why they don't do these things right who's in charge should be inspector after a road finished building and go inspector to approve it. If it's not approved, make them do it again.
In the village area, the one lane, they need to widen the thing all the way, make it a two lane. People are using one lane there as a two lane. And they have to people park on the side of it too, into the grass, on the edge, breaking away everything.
Walgreens over there. That's where you go get all your uh medication and stuff.
I believe those stores open 24 hours, >> some of them, certain areas.
>> So, you can go there anytime at night in emergency situation and get your uh medication if you need.
>> KFC KFC, guys. Look. KFC.
We do chicken, right?
Look at that car wash over there on the left.
Kind of need some car wash. Like that.
You can go in there, wash your car, and vacuum it yourself.
Look, we even have bike lanes in the corner there. And you have a um sidewalk. It's concrete for people to walk.
And look how clean the roadway here is.
You hardly see garbage anywhere.
The people over here don't throw stuff out their window. They don't just walk walk by and and drop an empty bottle out their hand in the grass or anything like that. You don't do none of that. You keep it. You take it home and throw it in the trash.
>> You walk with your trash bag.
>> Yeah. You have a trash bag in your vehicle. You put your trash in there.
When you go home, you dump it out or you go somewhere, you find a garbage can to dump it in. This is how they keep it clean from day one.
This might be only in Florida, though. I don't know about where else New York, they still they still throw stuff on the ground there.
But Florida, man, is a perfect example of what it really should be.
Look at this dealership over here.
floor.
Come up on the flea market fluttering over there.
Have an open road here today.
>> Not much traffic.
>> Not too much traffic in this area.
>> The flea market.
>> Oh yeah, the flea market's coming up over here.
Market of Marion. This is a big flea market here. You can find all kinds of stuff in here.
Look, they even have little car shows right in the front there. Look at all those old cars. Wow. Oh my god. Look at that.
Oh my lord. That was a lot of cars.
Missed that. Should have go in there and check it out if I had the time.
>> You're on your way back.
That's a neighborhood.
>> Look at that trailer right there.
There's a nice neighborhood right across here on the left. It's a gated community kind of like uh what's that place called? Wind Chase. What is it called?
>> Windsor Windsor Estates.
>> Windsor Estates.
>> Sorry. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Look RVs over here. Look how much RV is here to to sell. People might not jump in and travel across the country with it. Of course, we have the road here for it.
You don't have to worry about these tiny roads.
They have roads. They have lots of parking.
They're building stuff in Guyana. Uh they need to start building with parking. Parking is very important. They don't they don't have much parking.
There's a new gas station going up here.
Watch on the right. Am I getting it?
>> Brand new gas station going up there.
Look at boatyard there.
Look at this strip mall over here. It's all businesses.
Going closer to the villages now billboard.
>> Look at that business over there. Floor decors.
Floors and decors.
I got to tell you, Florida got some really, really nice uh roads.
Lots of parking. Everywhere you go, there is parking. Lots and lots of parking.
We're approaching the village area here.
Now, this is um heavens for the uh retired communities.
All the older folks that's retired and don't want to work and stuff anymore, they have a pocket full of money. They come over here and they live like kings here.
They got everything here.
It's like a little Disneyland.
I think it's bigger than the Disneyland.
It's probably a lot bigger than Disneyland here.
This is just the shopping area, not the where the housing they come out to shop out here.
Publix, the villages over there.
If you guys ever get a chance to look up the villages, is that the hospital there?
There's one of them >> over there.
>> Yes, it's one of them.

Yeah, Guy have hospitals, but it even new ones they're building. I don't know if they have parking.
Yeah, they have some marking in the front.
>> Maybe just a few.
>> More and more cars coming in.
>> Somebody like my truck.
>> I think somebody like my truck over the window there.
>> He's got a rain.
>> All right.
Guy like my truck.
took a video of it.
>> The truck is the truck is nice.
>> I'm pretty sure he see my LED lights lit up and he loved that.
>> Go over there.
>> He's going over.
>> Yeah.
>> Look at this guy.
You like the old truck?
>> Yeah.
>> All right.
>> There's one one of the village neighborhood.
>> The kid watching my truck. He loves guy loves my truck. I tell him I'll build him one. Focus on it.
I could build you one.
>> Huh?
>> I could build one for you.
>> Really?
>> Yes, I built this one myself.
>> You did?
>> Yes, I did.
>> That's insane. It looks so good.
>> I know, right? Very clean.
It's got all the nice LED lights in it.
>> What does it have under the hood?
>> Regular 4.7.
>> But it didn't board out to a 20 over.
>> Nice.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. I I love how I love the color. It just looks so clean on the ribs, too.
>> Yeah. Did you see the back?

>> You'll see some amazing stuff here. They like to drive golf carts here.
>> The first square is >> They don't drive cars in there. They drive golf carts.
>> It's an option.
See all that barking?
get turned off.
Little film over here. Look at all that construction going on. A big construction over there.
What What's coming there? you know.
>> Yeah.
I haven't been on this side for a while, but they just finished these roads here.
Made it better.
>> So, we have a three lane going three lane coming in this area here.
And they did it that way because they know there's going to be a lot of traffic in this area.
They usually have meetings. They all meetings before they build these roads.
And everybody get to go in there and make their comments about traffic and everything else. So before they even start building the road, they know what they need to build, how to build it. So that's the kind of stuff I'm talking about. In Guyana, they need to do that, too. I'm not sure they do that.
Subway guy and I have Subway.
>> Yeah, I think so.
>> Yeah, it's a lot of Wawa here. Gas stations.

We're gonna go home and uh you know I'm thinking to bring this boat to Guyana, you know, but there's no proper roadway, no boat ramps, and I don't know where I'm going to park it. So, a lot to think about before I even think about bringing the boat to Guyana.
Anyway, we had fun here and we're going to leave now and hit the road, go home, find something else to do. Tomorrow, beach day.
All right.
>> What you say, >> Miss We're going to be on this road for an hour now. I'm going to go home, relax a little, have some lunch, and find something else to do tomorrow.
