A brilliant subversion of travel vlogging that uses a fast-food quest to expose the enduring inaccuracies of 18th-century science. It reminds us that the "center" of our world is often just a well-placed monument to human error.

Flying To The Middle Of The World (For McDonalds)
Added:Have you ever been lost and wish that you had a bird's eye view or even better coordinates in view to help you guide yourself around? Well, actually you kind of do. Every point on the Earth has some coordinates between -90 and plus 90 and - 180 and plus 180. It's actually more like thousands after those. But in either case, it means that you can locate exactly where you are on planet Earth just by using these coordinates.
And sure, the real world is smaller than the Minecraft one, but it still means that there is an exact way to describe every position. And what's kind of fun about this is that I live very close to the zero position. If you saw those coordinates earlier, this wasn't just me being lazy. I actually am on the zero zed coordinate. And today I'm going to be traveling to the zero on the x coordinate because hello, I'm soyat. And this is one of my geography nerd bucket list items. I'm going to be traveling to the equator today. And I'm actually up here cuz I wanted a nice view of my McDonald's. So we'll see whether zero on the x or zero on the zed has a better McDonald's drink. But I've got to go.
Well, actually, I better eat some McDonald's. It's incredible. Yeah, you >> sound really really professional. It's really good. [laughter] >> Thank you. Yeah. No, I I It's It's fun.
Yeah, it's it's cool living so close to this to make it like tie in that way, you know?
>> Doing the water.
>> Water trick >> when it spins inside the equator.
>> Oh, is that really going to be how it works?
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Oh, >> I heard it was a myth. So, you're saying on the equator it will change based on >> Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, and in case you're thinking, "Didn't you forget to review that drink, Mr. Toy Cat?" Actually, no. Although, to review a drink while on a moving vehicle, I do have to give you this weird view. So, honestly, vanilla matcha uh I want to say Frappuccino, maybe shake and latte, something like that. Very delicious.
Genuinely tastes Asian. I I am amazed.
This is the first drink I've had in a very long time from a from a western chain that actually tastes anything like it does in Asia. And it's amazing that McDonald's would be the ones to pull that off. By the way, it's so beautifully green today. This is the perfect example of what it's like to be in the UK. Wonder what Ecuador will be like. It's winter there. I'm going so fast. I need to put this recording away.
Okay. Good morning and welcome to sunny Heathro terminal 3.
The best He terminal. I've got somewhere exciting to be actually.
Look at this. Look at this. There's a secret door you scan your boarding pass to enter and then it takes you to this place. So, you know how this January's trip was worked out because I saw a really good flight and then just worked out everything else later. That's exactly what happened with today's flight because it's going to Orlando. It was absurdly cheap. We're talking almost like mistake level £400 and that was for business class it turned out. And so that means that we had access to a lounge. And what's really cool about the version lounge is this is like the silliest thing to say. Um but they've got like the spoons of menu going on.
You got a QR code you can scan and you just get stuff ordered to your table.
Was delicious. Got me a homemade bloody Mary. Got me a paraffa. Got me a a lovely Holland's what's the word for it again? A benedict. And now I'm about to board a plane where they're presumably going to feed me even more. It's a great morning to be a food lover or even a food mild enjoyer. But yeah, I'm flying to Orlando and from there that's where things got tricky. I booked these flights months ago, kind of the assumption like, yeah, maybe something would change. But nothing did change. So about a week ago, I realized why not fulfill one of my long-term dreams. But first, let's enjoy a short-term dream, shall we? Wow. right onto the plane. None of the usual fapping around. Super super efficient.
Maybe because I was running late, but maybe just a good day. Anyway, um this is one of the most interesting uh in my opinion like seats that exists. It's the only plane this and New Zealand where you face away from the window into the aisle. So the only way to see the window is via selfie cam like this. Fascinating stuff. Anyway, right on board. Got some orange juice. They put the orange tray in it. And like look at this. This This isn't the color of orange juice. But anyway, I um I'm excited for today's flight. Looks like I'm going to be very very well fed and relaxed. Look at this.
But also, look at this.
>> Oh, that's the dream.
>> [music] >> Is it Christmas at all?
>> Sure.
>> Yeah.
>> Thank you.
>> You're welcome.
>> I asked nicely and they said that they would give me food after I've slept. So, I'll have a nice lunch instead of a second breakfast. Also, look at the view from bed here.
Insane.
>> Good morning. This is so cool to me.
>> Absolutely.
>> To use uh >> the bar. Uh which one? What am I?
>> Uh I just left it recording so you can >> Oh, fine. So you can hear me talking.
>> Totally fine.
>> It's that light on that way. Let me show >> I can do it like that.
>> You sure? I don't know if this way might be better.
>> Yeah. Perfect.
>> Cheers.
>> Cheers. [laughter] >> Thank you.
>> No, you're welcome.
>> So, this is an asparagus starter. Very, very good. This is Korean gchi jang chicken. Actually shockingly good given it's from a blame. And then this is herb crusted panko chicken with some form of sauce. Oh yeah, that's the beautiful paw you want to see. But so fancy to be doing this on a plane.
I have come back to my seat thing.
There's some sticky toffee pudding.
Excited.
I think it'd be silly if this had a spoon in the lid.
Oh, it does have a spoon in the lid.
Here's a silly question. Which spoon is better for ice cream? The one in the lid or a fancy metal one? I'm going to go for the fancy metal one.
>> Oh, >> yeah.
>> They didn't come right to the seat. This airport is a prime example of why you want to be off a plane early. I know some people see it as like silly to rush off a plane, but like just immediately the difference between being first or being 150th is an hour of your life potentially. It's too long.
[laughter] >> It is beautiful, right?
>> You you make you do a little bit of rush now and then you save yourself an hour later. Yeah. Interesting.
Not seen German in a US airport before.
It does look like a man just vanished.
That's probably fine. I mean, maybe he vanished for good reasons. You know, you're legally allowed to go missing.
>> He came all the way to the airport and learned you can actually teleport.
>> I I [snorts] wouldn't fly if I'd learned I could teleport. Never had this before, but I arrived to pick up a car. They didn't have the reservation. Whole process. But now that I am here, they're like, you can just have any of these cars. That's cool. I've never get to Feels like a video game. You get to just pick any car and start driving it. Feels like Grand Theft Auto, but without the crime, man. One of the coolest things about America is the car rental experience. Anywhere else it's, you know, it's perfectly fine. But here, they give you a whole row of cars that you pick. So, I can pick the bright green car. Super fun. But then also, it's a new, it's a modern car. It's got all the options enabled. Look how big my screen is right here. Life is good.
Okay, so you know where I've got to go the first time I'm in a car, though. I mean, it's brand new country. There all sorts of great options available to me.
And we know the first one that I'm going to pick out.
Come to McDonald's. It's McDonald's.
Supposedly the world's biggest. Like they say it's the biggest in the world.
Like it's definitely not. But I'm excited to see it cuz apparently just because it's in Orlando, one of the world tourism hotspots, it has an especially big menu.
And I need to know what that looks like.
Okay, so this McDonald's is absolutely huge, but also it has some exclusive menu items. Philly cheese steak. Kind of fun. Wait, choose your own topping, sauce, and cheese pizza.
Choose your own toppings, pasta and sauce. You can literally come in here and pick your own pasta and McDonald's.
Crazy.
Oh, this McDonald's also has collectible medallions just in case you want to commemorate your visit to this store.
They are $6 each or four for 20. Oh, this is um it's got to be a frame rate thing that it flickered and then didn't.
Wait, let's try that again. Yeah. Yeah, there we go. Look at that. Look at that.
The phone is clever. Now, it's time for the moment of truth. After all these years of hearing about Lamok Pizza, I need to know how does it actually taste.
Thank you.
Honestly, I thought that adding all these toppings would be good, but it looks like a real mess. Oh. Oh. Oh, it's hot. It's very hot. That's People like that about food, right? People are big fans of hot food. Me, I can take lukewarm any. But let's let's just >> That is really good.
I had such low expectations, but I am amazed at what has come out of this.
This is a good pizza.
>> How is it so good?
What does McDonald's have to make good pizza?
Wow.
>> I'm going to be real with you. I've never seen a McDonald's that is this noisy with an arcade. But then it also has one of those children's play centers. Oh, wait. What's this?
So fun. I want to play it. I want to fill spices on the slush rush.
I can't believe that in a country where you have the right to bear arms, you're not allowed bare feet.
Okay, but obviously I'm not just here for fast food. I'm just kidding. That's exactly what I'm here for. I'm excited to go to Sonic. I went to one of these one of the very first times I went to America. But this time I could drive.
I've got a car. And so we can see the future of Oh, that's disabled. We can see the future of drive-in drive-thrus cuz it's a touch screen, a self- orderering screen you use from your car.
Okay, I've got 33 seconds to decide. How much are you mentor? Help. Help.
Quickly.
>> It is ridiculously hot out here.
Just It's like you're under a heater in the store, but just everywhere all of the time, man. I've got to say, American fast food just hits the spot. They engineer it perfectly for your taste buds and for absolutely nothing else. And I love it for that. Okay, the sign here says to respect wildlife, but no offense, I am not respecting an animal that looks like this. What the heck is this bug? He's so huge. And there's just so many of them around here. 10. Where is he? There he is.
What are you? I don't like you.
Some guy crawling down.
>> Yeah, >> this is a weird animal. I came here because it was a stop along the way to Tampa that supposedly had alligators and trails where you could see them. But all I'm hearing is whatever that weird animal is.
It just sounds like phone static.
Maybe human beings weren't meant to live in Florida.
I'm going to be honest with you. It was not high on my list of priorities to molest an alligator, but I'm glad that I'm being told I can't. Okay, so if you're curious, the purpose of the drive was to get me over to Temper because genuinely I love cheap flights. I mean, I love value flights. I think the £400 to Florida is still on the expensive end of flights, but to get what I got, pretty darn good. But, uh, yeah, I'm here enjoying America's, uh, best bit about driving, which is this. Look at this. I I don't have to be here to fill up. It fills itself.
>> I'm not sure if you're meant to leave it, but it works. Curious what the coordinates are where I am right now.
About to leave Florida. And got to say, now that I'm going somewhere in South America, I will be speaking English in a country that has something like a 4% English literacy rate. So to make sure they don't think I'm American, I've done the only reasonable thing.
That is a seriously big flamingo.
That's what this clip is. I have a overwhelming desire to kick the sand castle.
I don't know what that says about me, but it can't be good. Anyway though, through security and I have to say the one downside of doing an airport by having a trillion different sub terminals is they all kind of feel like tiny airports as opposed to the benefits of a big airport which is more places to eat, more places to drink, more places to do fun things. Whereas now I'm just in this tiny narrow little strip for an hour and a half to my flight. What's funny is yesterday I almost considered doing this as a same day connection. So, land into Orlando 4 hours later, fly out of Tampa. And I'm glad I got to see a little bit more of the city and everything, but also it feels like you could conceivably do it in a day. So, if anyone out there likes booking insanely cheap flights and wonders of connections are worth it, I would do it. But anyway, I'm heading to Panama next cuz I don't know where the center of the world is.
But these coordinates are slowly getting closer, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, this second flight is one I'm really looking forward to because it's my first time flying with an airline that I have only vaguely heard of before, Copa Airlines. They are the major flag carrier, as far as I can tell, for Panama, and they've got a really funky uh like route network that connects as many places as they can via Panama.
They're mostly short hall planes, and so they can do all sorts of weird connections like Tampa to Kito. So, small plane, middle seat is a little bit of a downgrade from the last flight. But I'm mostly excited about where this has taken me. I've never been to Anam before, let alone the center of the world. The middle of the world. The center of the world on fire. I don't want to go there. Not till I die. Or go through a portal, I guess.
So, never joke.
This flight is a fun one because we're going Wait, straight down.
Great description.
Hello again from the world's smallest bathroom. I think this is the standard for 737 Maxes, but it's literally like 2 ft across or something. Like I can barely stand without hitting both my shoulders. But otherwise, this is an insanely good plane for what is effectively within the Americas like a borderline domestic flight. There's screens on the seats. There's a there's a the map showing you where you're going. Honestly, very comfortable, solid. Okay, I know there's a bunch of people who say that this doesn't count, but this is my first time in Panama, and you know what the first site I see is literally while walking down the jet bridge?
Yeah. Panamanium food. Better give it a try while I'm here. Is this what you expect from Domino's? Like >> I want the This looks like it's a Chicago style pizza. Like look how thick that is.
>> It's going to be a >> pasta. Uh you're right. This is a dramatically nicer airport than the one I just left in Florida. I'm amazed that that can be true uh to such an extent.
But just a fun reminder.
Honestly, I didn't have any real expectations of Panama, but even the skyline, which I you can't see in this clip of me landing, but even the skyline is shockingly well put together. And currency is nice and easy to understand.
It's pricey at the airport though for whatever's whatever Domino's is doing here.
Okay, this is such an efficient transfer. Not just in terms of like how it is on a map, like it's in the midpoint, but also as I have walked from one gate to the other in 120 seconds.
They're already boarding the plane.
Crazy. I kind of want to eat though.
Maybe I should Maybe I should just wait till I'm in Ecuador. Or have I even said I was going to Ecuador yet? I am, by the way. I'm excited. And my flight is attention EPA.
Pay attention to gate.
Anyway, >> gate attended.
>> Gate attended.
That's confusing.
Anyway, I'm going to quickly see if there's anything super exciting nearby.
I wanted Domino's, but I know that $24 in a Panameian airport is probably not going to be uh the best pizza that I have on this trip after having the Mc Pizza. So, instead, go for a little loop around, see what I find.
It's a cool airport. It's huge.
Buenos officially in Ecuador. The flight was very chill. It had the most recline if any narrow body I've been on for a while. And so I kind of just sat there, watched a movie, and then decided to see if I could screen record it. I could. So here's some piracy I'm admitting to the internet. I didn't actually record very much of it. I don't think that'd be a good use of battery, but I could have.
Now, Ecuador is one of these countries that has a form that you have to fill in to enter, but if you Google search it, literally the AI will tell you. You got to pay a fee. Just use this website right here and fill it out. But fun fact, you don't. But no one asked for it on the outbound. And so, I'm curious how much work it actually is now that I've landed without doing it. My goion.
Hm. Interesting. I wonder why I put out those four nationalities. That was actually pretty easy. That guy was very nice. Little confused why I'd come all the way here for three days, but you know the reason. Although it is worth mentioning that I have come all the way here and I've technically overshot it a little bit and I'm now slightly in the southern hemisphere, which means that it's no longer summer. It's actually winter. Although the weather's going to be basically the same year round given how close we are to the equator. I mean, we're literally in a country named after it. Anyway, now it's time for customs, which I think actually is that way.
Okay, I think I do now have to fill out the form. Actually, I'm a little confused as to why Canada's logo is on there, though. Does Canada run the service? Am I actually entering Canada right now?
bizarre taxi journey. Um, I mean, I feel like it always is a bit interesting when you're in a different country. But now I have arrived at a hotel and look how wide this bed is. Anyway, I'm excited for tomorrow. It's middle of the world day. Right now it's 1000 p.m. which isn't too bad. It didn't sound too bad on the, you know, in my mental plan, but because Ecuador is 5 hours behind the UK, but then actually doesn't do daylight savings because they've got no daylight they need to save. They're on the equator. It means they're 6 hours behind, which means it's basically 4:00 a.m. And so I need to sleep, but I haven't eaten in a a good bit. So, I'm going to go out and just find the fastest thing to eat right now.
But yeah, very lovely and very affordable. I always mention I try to have like roughly a 100 pound a night as like a ceiling if I can have have it.
This was dramatically under 100. It's in a really nice area and it's really nice.
That's nice. I've got so much vocabulary tonight. Okay, there is a supermarket across from the hotel that's open near enough 24/7. And look at this. [music] It's a dollar for a sandwich. Oh, by the way, the currency here is the US dollar.
It's fascinating.
sandwich americano. [music] Water here is pricey. $88.
Hello.
The hot dogs look pretty raw. So, I've gone for a sandwich.
I've never seen this before.
>> As well as a key card. They've also got facial recognition. They can tell you if you're allowed to go somewhere.
Can I go downstairs?
Maybe. Anyway, it's early morning on the day of the middle and the plan is someone in a van is going to maybe not a van, probably a car. Yeah, you don't need to be a van. Someone in a car is going to pick us up and take us to the rainforest north of Kito, but also north of the equator.
It's a nice hotel.
Got to say, worth the diversion, though.
This is now what I know. What the nature looks like at the equator. I think I meant to cross the river this way. Well, guess I better get in. Do you think I should have my phone out for this? Or maybe not.
Oh, mind the gap.
fun.
>> Oh, yeah.
This is one way to get across the jungle.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh.
[music] Can't wait to see the jungle.
Loud. All the way down.
The slimy means there's so many muscle.
The muscle is like the juice that you try. You going for it. Okay. So, got good appetite.
>> It's pretty fruity.
>> Mhm. This one is super bitter. Mhm.
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah. So you're saying that these beans only grow at a latitude of 1200 or below?
>> 800 below.
>> 800 or below. So that's either side of the equator or >> it's like cacao needs so many oxygen to grow and the flavor but depends of the the environment. For example, if you eat a lot of of chocolate or cacao but made of Amazonia, the flavor is like a banana.
>> Mhm.
>> Okay. So I figured what is Ecuador known for besides the equator and bananas?
Chocolate. So, I should obviously come to somewhere where they do chocolate. I got to see the inside of a cacao bean. I got to see the entire process.
Fascinating. But then they offered to put it on as a moisturizer. And uh let's just say I had some questions.
>> So, this is definitely good for you.
>> Yeah, it's not offensive.
>> No, it's not offensive.
>> No, it's good.
>> But you can say what the end.
>> I do not condone or endorse any opinion stated by Ecuadorian employees, but I am going to wash my face.
Okay, so just over an hour drive to the east [laughter] and now and and also 2,000 meters up. My Y coordinate is crazy. I can say that I am very near to the middle of the world.
I can say that because just over there is the official monument and this is the tourist attraction, the middle of the world. However, you'll notice that I am over here as over there. Why is that the case? Because fun fact, the giant middle of the world monument that I assume millions of people visit every year is not actually the middle of the world.
There are two theories about why supposedly I I only understood the one that we got it wrong. We measured the earth wrong. The a meter is meant to be exactly a 20,000th of the world, but you know, uh the French scientists doing it were French, so they bull it up. So that's theory one. Second theory is that this is really rough terrain. the actual equator, which is just down here.
Apparently, apparently the actual equator is uh a little bit more uh tricky to build on. And so they just kind of fudged it, figuring like who's going to find out before GPS.
>> Wait, wait, wait. Here it is.
>> This is This is the moment.
>> They know exactly what I want to do.
September.
[laughter] >> I officially have one foot on the southern hemisphere and one foot in the northern fun.
>> There's a lot of people around.
>> Fun though. This is such a geography nerd bucket list item and it's such a fun one to take off. This is such a cool line in the middle of the earth. One of those places you never assume you can visit. But here I am presumably taking it off. Assuming that there aren't any French people mismeasuring and screwing me over on this one. I can now say I've officially been to the equator. That's super cool.
especially equatorial wait all the way across the world like this.
>> Could you see the monument behind of that trees?
Yeah, >> that was the fierce mural of the world found here in Ecuador and that was the official mural of the world found in the whole world by the French mission in 1736. So the French designation came to Ecuador because here was the country with more altitude the highest one around of the world to measure the well [laughter] and that's why they terminate this is the middle and that's why is now like the place of the middle of the wall but obviously this line cross more than 10 exactly like 13 countries so the 13 countries [clears throat] could be the middle of the world too but Ecuador is not like the middle like [laughter] You said the fierce middle of the world in that monument. Exactly.
>> So what how did they get it over there instead of here? What was the mix up?
>> They well fierce they measured that line by telescopes triang triangulation different mountains and volcanoes and that was in 1736 300 years ago. Here we have a more actual line that was measured with more technology with a GPS.
So this is the actual middle of the world and that's why we have two middle of the worlds in Ecuador. But if we talk about technically we have three meters three m if you go very very something like 20 minutes to the east you are going to found a hill and the indigenous people well the name of that hill it's king in the top of the of that hill if you go with your phone and you open your compass you're going to see 0000 that point was determinated by indigenous people 200 years ago before this line before that line just with the So in the equinox >> the theory about this called gravity in the less gravity and that's why >> oh no >> both hands at 6 p.m. [laughter] Philly's done his point.
>> Just try to be one with the egg. Be the egg.
>> Tiny tiny touches. Tiny movements. Micro adjustments on the bottom.
Remember, it falls to the right, a little to the left. Falls to the left, a little to the right.
>> Yeah.
>> Did you get it? I'm an egg master.
>> Egg master. Second egg master.
>> So, what did you call this? The the the Ecuadorian drunk test.
>> Exactly.
>> Okay.
>> Arms out, chin up, close eyes.
>> I'm not sure this is real. [laughter] >> It is hard though.
>> Yeah, you're going a little bit to the north, but you did it good. You did it good.
>> It's cuz I'm from the north. That's the [laughter] problem.
>> So, let me take the leaves.
The leaves helps to understand the direction of the water.
>> And we are going to see these three different times in three different places. First in the middle, then in the south, and finally in the north. Okay.
Such >> Yeah, that's quite >> I need to to explain about this. Ready?
One, two, three.
almost straight down, right?
>> Yeah.
>> At we have a vortex. Obviously by the physics of the water always we are going to see a little vortex. But now let's do this.
>> One, two, three.
>> We have a big vortex from the beginning to the end goes counterclockwise or anticlockwise. And now let's do the same but on two and three.
>> That is clockwise.
>> Clockwise, right?
>> You know your previous question.
[laughter] >> Okay, so I have now officially been at Mitchell Demundo. Not just the real one.
I had to be very quiet there because there was a big tour group I was kind of jumping in front of. They were clearly just about to use the shoes. Uh but also I've been to the fake one. You have to pay $5 to get through there. And I think there's something intriguing about the fact that it's far busier than the real middle. There's a lesson in there somewhere. But there's also a lesson in the fact that although the corololis effect is not meant to be observable, they did do us a little demonstration.
And man, who randomly started talking to me at the uh the Greenwich meridian uh looks to be correct, although it could be some weird trickery. But I have it on video. What am I going to believe?
Google research or my own eyes? I think we know what to do. It's 2026. Anyway, um the final uh thing here, I guess, is to say that I have officially been Equatorial. I've ticked off one of the coolest bucket list items for any geography nerd. And honestly, this has been one of the coolest trips already.
This is before even considering the rest of what I do here. But now that you've seen the trips from 0 to zero, I guess the video is over. Except wait, I think one of the points was not just to see the difference between zero and zero.
Fascinatingly huge, by the way. Even just like geographically speaking, this is one of the hilliest and craziest places. But also, I had a McDonald's drink in my hand. It's a pretty good one. How does the McDonald's at zero latitude compared to zero longitude?
Better find out.
It's sad cuz I would just walk right over to a McDonald's. There is I but as far as I can tell there isn't one at Metal Demando and instead there's just a KFC or you can drive about 20 minutes south which is what I'm going to do. So now we can see the final hard-hitting bit of journalism British man travels the world and tries the local cuisine asterisk McDonald's.
Excited.
This is where the Patreon money goes by the way. Actually, before I go out to the fancy restaurant that is McDonald's, I might need to remove this chocolate strand that exists in my hair.
[sighs and gasps] But tomorrow, McDonald's is coming.
So fun. Okay, I'm finally here at Muk Ecuador. Funnily enough, this isn't actually the closest McDonald's to the equator. That seems to be my research somewhere in Indonesia.
>> Look, I'm literally fried. I am excited though to give it a try. I'm also excited to now realize that if I want to see Ecuadorian McDonald's, I have to go to Indonesia. So, look forward to that video. But for now, okay, the first and most important check is how much is a Big Mac and how much is a Big Mac meal.
Surprisingly affordable. The second interesting thing is what's exclusive on the menu. And immediately I'm seeing a Mcuador and a double Mcquador. I'm curious what makes that so unique. It look kind of looks like a a bacon cheeseburger to me, but I guess I won't find out. But I will instead look at what's special right now. FIFA World Cup signature world collection.
Intriguing.
Oh yeah, now we're talking milkshake caramel brownie.
Oh yeah.
Okay, so now's the moment of truth. I kind of just wanted to review the drink to stay true to the premise, but given that this is I'll never pass down an opportunity for a McDonald's review, let's try and look Ecuador. Just a single bite. Everyone knows the rules.
M.
>> Wow, that is good. [clears throat] I did get the blueberry shake in the end. But then I realized just afterwards they had it on their screens but not on the screens that you can get an aphro for $1.99. This is absolutely crazy in my opinion be able to get an afra uh I I I feel like if I spent $5, I'd be like, "Yeah, that's a nice deal." $1.99 and it's soft serve fresh like this. I'm excited. This should be my best drink of the whole trip. Not serious.
Maybe serious. Oh, I hate espresso with all my heart because I just love sweet things and it's too bitter. You add enough ice cream to it though and the flavor comes out without having to like punch you in the face. Yeah, this is this is I hate to say it.
This is a better drink that you can find at zero latitude than you can find at zero longitude. And I hate to say that to all my to my genuinely authentic matcha shake that I got, but just for fun, how about the blueberry shake? An odd combination.
It works though. Speaking of things that work, this was an amazingly cheap McDonald's that also sauce was in the bag. None of that like, oh, that'll be 75 cents for a tiny little thing that you need to do. Came in the bag. There's sauce all over my burger. This should be called the muk saucy. And then also the prize. They have this fun option where you can upgrade them to a sharing size.
Basically super size, but they call it sharing and I like that. Whoa.
The Ecuador has plantain.
Actually, let's round out the video some job feedbacks. Ecuador makes chocolate and bananas and apparently they make enough oil to be an OPEC. There you now you can say you learned. I certainly learned. It is cool to finally have been here. But now that I've eaten McDonald's and seen the middle of the line, I guess I get guess I better go home. I'm going to see a few things in the old city. But thank you very much for watching and I'll see you for a long form McDonald's video one day. Goodbye. Wait, one last cultural experience in Ecuador before I go because I ended on a bit too much of a happy note. And so here's something fun. Not only do you have to flush or not flush the toilet paper, but also the toilet paper isn't in the stool. It's out here. You have to guess how much you're going to use before you go in.
You get diarrhea. Too bad for you.
>> What's this?

>> This is the Mc Ecuador. It's going to be You can only get it in Ecuador. What is it?
>> So, it's it's like a beef patty. It's got a It looks like a kind of fancy McDonald's bun. Here we got what tastes a lot like sour cream, but I'm sure is some more traditional sauce. And we got some plantain. I guess I'll go for a bite that tries to mix that all together perfectly.
>> Tastes like Ecuador. Needs chocolate.
>> Needs more chocolate on some.
>> See you next time, Sam.
