Rural Living In ZimbabweAdded:
Good morning guys. Another day, another vlog from the rural. So guys, we have an update and we're going to be giving you an update.
And guys, there's a business opportunity that I just want to share with you in the video. So you must wait until to the end because I'm not going to start with that business opportunity. And I just want to give a little bit of information about this business opportunity. This works for someone who wants to start farming, someone who maybe thinks of owning land in the rurals, someone who thinks of like um uh having some investments back home. For example, people that are in the diaspora who wants to invest because I know people in America who are already doing this. I know people who are in the UK who are already doing this right here in Zim. So wait until to the end of this video and if you do not if you just skip it, you will not hear some of the information that is very important because I'm going to share along the way. So guys, you know what? Um it's been how long without being here? It's been a week >> right here guys. There's a lot of changes. So I'm going to start with the first changes that you can clearly see.
>> We planted our loan, right?
>> What happened?
So that's one good >> honest it's not growing as I thought it would.
>> It's not actually growing the way that I thought it would.
>> I thought like in 3 weeks we will be having like greenery.
The second thing that I want to show you guys is look at the size of the grains.
Look at the size of the grains. Look at it. Is this amazing?
I think and um let's move on to the next update.
Right. Uh these are some of the carrots.
So guys, just be careful.
And >> I'm so scared of snakes also.
>> Snakes. Hey, we saw one this morning.
>> Huh?
>> We saw one this morning.
But we haven't started yet.
And guys, please tell us uh tell us how is the quality of our camera.
How is the quality guys?
Pocket four. When we celebrating our pocket, >> we just celebrated Pocket 3 and Zuro. Is it a Zuro?
>> They introduced Pocket 4.
>> But no, we're happy with this.
>> Yeah. No, this is very good.
>> You know, like so many people what they saying about the new uh Pocket 4, the new camera, guys. People are saying good, they want uh Pocket 4 Pro. I think for those that have not yet seen our camera, I'm going to take you a video with my phone. You see, we all holding our phones because this used to be our main camera, guys. This smartphone. This is an S25 Ultra. My wife also phone used to be our main camera. So, these two phones that we use, >> guys, these two phones, this is S25 FE and this one is S25 outra. So, we've been using these two phones for our videos.
They are very good. these phones are, trust me, we love uh Android more than iPhone because that's what we can afford and it it takes good good videos for us.
So, I'm going to do this.
I'm going to do this. I'm going to take it a video and then I'll show you guys how this camera looks and what's good about it. So, here's the camera in case like someone wants to to start their videos and all that. This camera is just good. Look at it. So, it's an Osmo. It's called Osmo Pocket 3. It's written right here. Pocket 3. It's a DJI camera.
That's the name of the brand. Just in case you want to buy yours. Yeah.
>> And one thing about DJI, guys, they make good good products. Even my mics Edward.
>> Yeah. DJI.
>> DJI.
>> And if you can check here, I'm putting it on a mic. This is the mic that this Pocket 3 comes with.
>> Yeah.
>> So, it's a very good.
>> What else do we have from DJI?
>> Uh, drone.
>> We have a drone from DJI.
>> DJI drone.
>> Yes. So it's a very trusted brand for life.
>> Yes. Let's move on from that. Like so many people ask us to speak in English.
But remember >> that's are we not?
>> So >> guys, we're trying to mix as much as we can. But also our Shauna audience would say that they love it when we use Sha in our videos. So now I think we're we are confused.
>> But I think for the benefit of um the a vast number or of the majority.
>> We just mix.
>> Yeah, we'll mix.
>> We'll try to mix guys so that everyone I think everyone understand those that don't understand, we actually pick up one or two from the video with you. What is this video about?
>> So, we're trying we're going to try to make sense.
>> Okay, let's go to our garden. We have a huge huge huge huge huge huge update and my wife is so excited to be showing you something from our garden. Is isn't it?
Obviously, everyone that comes here must see it.
>> Mhm. And before we go to the garden, we just want to talk about our lights and uh uh the cameras that we have installed because yesterday we were installing uh cameras in Gormons. And uh guys, we still have these cameras in order like in case you need one and this is the one that you are using here. It's very safe if you have cameras at home, you know, like uh people can try to tamper with your places or also if you're running projects, you are able to see these cameras are able to tell you if your pet has eaten. Let's say you have a dog.
I've said it before, if you have a dog, these cameras are able to monitor if your dog has eaten.
>> You know, >> yeah, >> they are able to tell you if your cat is sleeping, these cameras are able to to give you notifications. If someone comes to your house, these cameras will send you a notification.
>> These cameras are able to communicate with you. Let me just do an example, right, babe? You can go close to the camera.
>> Which one was that?
>> Uh-huh. See, she will go to close to that camera and then I'll move away. I want to communicate with her. I want to show you guys how this works.
So, here's the phone, but it's not it's a bit dark.
I'll bring it here and I open the camera.
This is the app. If you can see there.
Okay, let me go inside the room. You can stay there. Let me just go inside the house so that you'll be able to uh people will be able to see the demonstration I'm giving you.
Okay, I'm going to talk to her. I'm going to talk to you through the camera.
Right. So guys, here's the camera and here is the view. We have two cameras.
Another one facing the gate side and another one facing the house. So they are loading. There she is standing. I'm going to call her. I'll do like this.
Here's the call. I'm calling. Hi babe.
>> How are you?
Hey, what's up? How are you?
>> I can't see. You can move back a bit.
Okay, I can actually move this camera to check her. Yeah, you see now there she is. So, you're able to move it like this one is movable.
This is just good guys if you have your or your home that you want to control.
So, see I can put some motion tracking.
Okay, babe.
I want to trick you, babe.
>> Yeah, I can't hear you.
>> Okay. Can you can you move? Coming to the house.
There she is moving. Or maybe it's just because I'm on the call, it's not tracking, but it could track her. There she comes. This is how it works, guys. I think now you know. Um, >> I'm in the house.
>> Okay, got you. So, guys, uh, that was the quick demonstration that I had to give you about the camera and on how it works and how you can operate it from, uh, wherever you are. You're able to communicate with people that are close to it. You're able to record as well, >> right? Good. So, now we're moving on to the garden that we wanted to show you guys. And we have some massive updates that we are going to give later this month because of um we want to make sure that we have a better water source than we already have, right? So, what is the first thing that you want to show us about the garden? Should I show them that office or >> Okay, come. Let's start from here so that it makes sense.
>> Where are we starting?
>> Let's start with the tomatoes.
>> Tomatoes.
>> Okay, there are tomatoes that mama planted before she left when she was here.
>> I think it's these ones. And guys, you can't believe it's atic.
>> Mhm.
>> Um, can you show?
>> Yeah, the tomatoes. Sorry. These ones are healthy and stuff.
>> They're well taken care of.
>> They well taken care of.
>> And then guys, remember that time they complain and all of those things.
>> Look at the size of the leaves.
>> Mhm.
>> Big.
>> Mhm. Mhm.
>> So, this is our vegetables.
Let's do maybe a shot for the vegetables.
>> Wow.
>> Wow. Isn't this just a wow? Wow. Effect.
So, the veggies are really growing up.
And what did we put here? We put some manure here.
>> And also, if you can check here, there's some grass right underneath uh to just like um >> uh to to keep the moisture >> moisture inside there.
>> Yeah. In there. And guys, the nice thing is that I could actually velo to mom's.
>> Did you add it to the video? Did you have any? No. The last video. No, you didn't, guys. And then one thing I'm proud of.
Just look my hands.
Okay guys, I plan >> this one. This one couldn't wait to to leave uh South Africa just these beans.
I wanted to see how the beans are progressing. Look at the beans guys. I planted this with the help of Blaze obviously.
Um, we planted them.
Imagine saying this one has a lot of This is nice.
>> This is nice, guys.
And then tutorials and then we still have carrots here and then we still have more stuff.
>> Our garden is massive. Okay, there's um Okay, you can hold the camera. Let me tell people here's where we planted um let me step on the on the bed straight.
Uh we planting our um cucumber cucumber, what do you call the cucumbers? We have butter there, but this one are cucumbers.
>> Really?
>> So, uh I don't really know how long it's going to take for the cucumbers to be ripe, but I think it's 70 days to 90 days.
>> Oh, that's so long.
>> We'll start to eat them. But it's not really long, baby. It's actually like 2 months.
>> Oh, >> 2 months, 10 days.
>> So, it's not really long. So, we've planted this like um on the 1st of April, I think. And it's almost it's almost month end. So, we have enough patience. This is our home and we're going to be here until whatever time is going to be ready. And this is these are butternuts right here.
So, we have another cucumber bed and butternuts.
>> Oh, I can see the difference. I can see now. And right here we have um our rape, right?
>> This is rape, right?
>> So recently transplanted uh to the to the to the bed. And also we want to when I was I was actually suggesting to put another bed here.
Here's why. Go there. Let's show them what's there. We have uh another our necessary bed, right?
>> Mhm.
>> Here's our necessary bed. This nursery bed we have recently started uh transplanting to this to this to this bed. Why? Because >> what do you mean >> like this thing so that they can trans guys?
You can come and get my seedlings if you want seedlings. We have a lot of them. I don't think >> we have enough space to put all of them.
Yeah, >> we have enough space. We have a big a huge huge huge space.
>> Don't you think so? But >> we do. But then now remember we want to also fence this this garden on a later.
>> But guys, I I don't think we'll be able to.
>> But I'm saying good. We can give them to anyone who wants >> and then we have more vegetables. This one is a smaller bed. How about your onions?
>> I think they also need some fertilizer, I think, or some manure or something.
>> I think we need to put more manure on here.
Not >> and up here. We got more >> more tomatoes and then more onions. But this bed is still empty.
>> They are disappointing me.
>> And then we have this kovo. Um, >> this is the we got from >> What about this one?
>> Oh, okay. Okay. This is purple, guys.
But now, it's reviving itself and I'm happy with the >> time this other.
>> Yeah, we're eating this.
>> Yeah.
>> Then guys, one of our who what do we call her?
>> H supporters.
>> One of our supporters.
Masaki.
>> They gave us these seedlings for for our own big big >> and what's here next to it.
>> We have beans that we tried to plant. Me and Goulles.
>> Mhm.
>> Basically, >> but didn't germinate very well. Right.
>> It didn't germinate very well. very disappointing but >> okay and also right here we have some carrots >> I don't know what we're failing please guys give us some carrots are not doing the the the way that we maybe is it our soil or what then these ones I don't know >> okay here's another thing that I want to talk about we want to talk about the water source I'm completely worried.
Seriously. Like seriously, guys. Um >> I'm worried about water.
>> You know why?
>> Uhhuh.
>> Here we have we've dug like 6 m. Well, right.
>> This is 6 m. It's actually 6 and 1/2.
>> So this one has water and I think enough for our use, right? For our home use.
>> Can you be there?
So since this is enough for our use, here's my question and I'm quite quite worried. What are we going to do? And I want to hear your suggestions guys. Uh because I know you guys you are family to us and you always have better advices for us. Okay. Can you remove the lens?
Uh I'm just going to remove this lens guys real quick. Right. So my question is this guys, do you think that this uh is a good water source or a bow is a water a better water source this month or I think next week want to it's either number one it's either we drill a ball that is 40 m that drilling real drilling and then we put pipes in there next week. Today is what what's the date today?
Uh I think today is the 18th is the independence day whilst we are doing this video. So if you are watching it on the 18th we are doing it. We have done this video today. So I'm asking guys is it better that we we drill a ball or we open up the the dame that is right at the end of the the of our field. Is it is it a better way or do you think since we already have tried to dig a well here that is 6 mters and is providing water do we need to open another well maybe on the side it's just another suggestion that can be like 10 m 12 m or we drill a ball and you think a ball can be enough especially for the project that you want to do. We want to do a project that's going to be like a one hector project and it's going to be down there. I think I need to go there and show you guys how it looks and get a proper advice. And also here's another idea we have. We are thinking of buying another at least another one hector land somewhere. I've got someone who has one hectare land.
It's either they will rent to me or they'll sell it to me. But I'll show you guys the progress. But I believe that we're going to buy that one hectare land. and that one acre land is next to the dam so that we can do some projects and here is contributing uh to the idea the business idea that I said I'm going to share. So let's go to the sweet potato project which is the mambira project that we have up here and I will give you the idea of what's the business that I have and how you are going to also benefit from it. Come let me show you guys. I always have new ideas that are helpful not just to me but to you too. I want you to benefit. When we are benefiting, I want you guys to also benefit. Do you understand what I'm saying, babe?
>> Mhm.
>> So, let's go.
And here's our fade project.
>> No, this one.
>> It's our fa project, but >> No, it's it's not a fail project. It's just that you got lazy and gave up on it. Uh we didn't give up, guys.
>> Wow.
>> We're still going to continue.
>> So, we are already by our uh sweet potato project that we want to talk about and I hope this this video will be will be helpful to someone and it might find someone who needs it.
Right, I'm going to put back my lens.
The reason why there's this lens that I'm putting back and I'm removing it.
This lens is actually helpful. Here it is. I'll put it in front of our camera.
This helps us to give a bit of a wide angle.
>> So, it's back in place. Yes, I think it's clear.
>> They grow very fast.
>> And remember guys, here's our project, our two bomb project. And it's amazing.
It's it's it's just nice. Tell us tell us what you think about >> is it? Yes. Look at this. Um our helper was uh creating something like a fire guard here. But a fire guard is supposed to be outside.
>> I don't like he just wanted to to make sure that if we do a few day here >> there will be a path. So he just uh removed the grass right from this end.
Look at this.
>> Like we have hard workers in our house to be honest. I love it.
>> And the nice part is that we don't really tell them to do it. Yeah. Look at this guys. We tried but you know guys here's another thing. We have what do you call it?
Why do I call it that way?
Fukuna and the reason why the Fukuna it's our first project >> and you excited.
>> We are so excited and also without just that guys remember we have to show you where we are, how it's going, how the project uh the progress of the project is looking like.
So it's your time baby to shine. Open show us how is the how big the >> Hey, look at this. Look at this. She has nails and she she can't do this. Okay, it's okay. I can, but then it's going to be like awkward.
>> Okay, I'm going to open my life.
So like when we are now telling you guys advice every week.
Yes, >> there's this guys. The size is amazing.
Look at this guys.
>> Look at the size.
The size is amazing.
Look at the sizes guys.
I love the sizes. They are huge. Like they are very good. Like I love the sizes guys. So let me talk about the business opportunity available around this. Can you hold the camera?
All right guys. Um, okay.
Let me speak. Let me talk. Let me do the conversation whilst I'm going up here showing you uh our beautiful place, our beautiful farm, our beautiful field.
Right. Here's a business opportunity that I want to share with you.
You know what, guys? last year when we approached this idea of planting our sweet potatoes.
Um this actually came from some of my neighbors. I saw them doing it and I also saw uh people online and they inspired us who are like people for example people like Mr. Bambay they inspired us to start doing it right >> and here's how it happened. Um, are you sure that the camera is good, babe?
>> Yeah, I think maybe I should remove the lens.
>> Okay, let me remove it.
>> Okay. Yeah, now closer.
>> Right. So, what happened is that um when we got inspired, we thought of starting it. So, we started only from here going up like how many lines? 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 26. We started with only 33 lines.
>> Yeah. 33.
>> Ah, no. 40.
>> Huh?
>> 36.
>> Was it 36?
>> Yeah.
>> Yes. So, we started with 36 lines and we loved the progress. We loved how they quickly started just like growing and how our our our sweet potato started actually like beating up. We loved the progress and it seemed like it was the best for this type of soil, right?
>> And here's what happened before that guys, we struggled. And the struggle that we had was to find where to get the vines.
Do you know what the vines are? These are the vines. Sweet potato vines.
Okay, I'm just going to break one and put in my hand so that you guys can understand the idea that I have. So when we struggled guys, we traveled and we even posted I think people that follow us on Facebook, you guys know that we have posted, we once posted saying that we are looking for sweet potato vines.
I'm going to break one because we have a lot of them.
>> We have plenty.
So this in my hand is a sweet potato vine.
So we were looking for the vines and we couldn't find vines. So we only found the vines in January because that was December when we were looking for vines. We only found the vines that were able to to to to fit on those 36 lines, the first 36 lines because it only ended somewhere here from down there. It was somewhere here.
>> So, we struggled a lot. We we traveled around and you know what?
So uh these people seemed like they had gold just by having vines during that time and they were actually like not answering their calls and they would tell you that my vines are not ready.
I'm not ready to sell. And their prices were high. And you know what? I thought of bringing a solution to that. And here's the solution. And this solution is a business idea that I believe it might also work for you because I see it working even on my side. Right. I when I was looking for this vines, we traveled to places where we thought we could find them. And we met a lot of people also going there trying to find them and they couldn't get them. Do you remember that?
>> Yeah.
Couldn't get some people contacted us.
Did you get them? Please also give me the contact. A lot of people.
So here's what we decided to do. We decided to make sure that this year we are going to have the fines. This year we will have enough vines. Not just enough h not enough vines. We have a lot of vines because I believe that we will never meet the demand. We will never meet the demand. Uh looking at how we have progressed in our first year of our sweet potatoes. This was just a start.
This was just a trial. Why?
You see all those um where we see where there's um this um all that like hectar and stuff of uh of our maze there.
>> We're going to be putting sweet potatoes for next year.
Why? We loved sweet potatoes and we're going to try to do more of it and we are going to have vines for you.
And if you are someone that feels like they want to also be providing the vines because there's going to be a lot of scarcity. They are going to be scarce.
It's going to be less vines around October. Why is it there's less vines is because most people do not have water sources. So if you have a water source during that time and you have vines, you have business. Serious business. Because if you have your own water, own ball, you are already a king because you are able to plant your vines. They are easy to grow these vines and you sell them at a very good price in October. So what it means is that if you're someone who wants to start uh you see uh on the other video that we've already done, I I have already started selling vines here for people that are preparing for that October. So it's a business that you can actually start. You can prepare for your October by getting your own vines now then you know you're going to make a very good money and trust me I'm one of the people that will also give you the market. Why? because I have a lot of people now coming >> and remember we already have the community h so through having our community we can connect you also >> because we get a lot of requests remember and we are not just selling a product that people do not like in bomb everywhere and imagine in October you have the the vines you have you start planting it's going to be good because you have in bamb at $10 per bucket. Like right now, people are selling at $10, $8 per bucket. There's a very good market for it. And so which means that uh what do you need to do? If you're ready, you contact me.
You let me know. Okay. You want to start your own bomb, you want to start your your own um uh what do you call it?
Yeah. Then you get them from here.
Here's a good part. If you're getting them here, you're actually getting them.
And if you check very well, you see we they are well taken care of. They are given enough because we take care of these vines and you know we did we were dipping them I'm sure you guys those who were checking our videos we were dipping these vines in >> lambda >> in lambda before we even put them in our field we had to dip them we have to we had to soak them to make sure that we get rid of uh those uh pests that might want to affect them. So, which means that also getting uh your vines from a source that is um that is well treated.
It's it's also a win for you because I've seen people crying.
So, you end up losing a project. So guys, this is one of the project that I'm seeing a a very good progress and I'm loving it. So I wanted to show you guys uh the other side of our field and uh ask you guys um what's your suggestion? I think uh we've done a video showing you our small dam that wanted to open like this. I need I really need advice. Do we need to open our dam or we do a board really? or it's actually down there.
>> A well >> or we open a well.
>> Yeah, let's walk >> a a deeper well.
>> Can we walk there?
>> Yeah, >> let's go. We need that advice. So, for those that are interested in um in starting their own uh sweet potatoes, uh you are more than welcome to contact us. We have enough vines for like even five hectors now, >> I think. We have a lot of vines. Look at this side. Those are vines. Untouched vines.
>> Last time. Where did they stop when they were cutting?
>> Ah, they stopped somewhere here.
>> And look, you can't even see.
>> We have a lot of vines, guys. A lot of them. Lot of them. You can't even finish them. Remember, this is not the only side we have uh that has.
>> Yeah, we got a lot of sweet potatoes. this side. And for those that are saying we want to also buy some sweet potatoes, we want to support you by buying guys. Uh very soon we will let you know guys.
We'll announce once we are going to be releasing them once.
every time and again.
So that is the difference right isu we are still eating guys at so that's the good thing >> I love some of these sizes look at this good side in December last Yeah.
Mhm. So, we still have and they are still eating it. That's a good thing.
And this side we still have we have more of sweet potatoes, guys.
two times.
I see >> uh can you check our our leftover What is happening with them?
>> The thing is h we did not transplant this.
>> We did not um what do you call it?
>> Thin them. They needed some thinning.
There you go.
>> We needed to do some thinning on them.
So these are all um vines available also. Remember guys, this is another side.
>> I don't know how these are like half a he more than half a of sweet potatoes.
this side.
Mhm.
So down here so that we can we can do our proper we can have our proper water.
Remember we not planning we're not putting top on this. Look at this.
So we do not run out of Yeah.
>> These guys planted this long one. It's very long but 22 weeks.
>> So maybe you should give it a little bit of more time.
That's the thing about farming.
season farming went wrong.
>> No, it's >> I don't think it's true.
It's better than nothing.
I think that's the reason why recently.
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah. I think we should just give it time.
>> Yes.
>> I think Yeah.
So I think uh this is the progress guys that we showing you today and we said and I think do you have something else to say? No. Mhm.
Just imagine that. But anyways guys, um okay.
All right.
You guys can come and eat.
family. Uh if you have watched to to this part or to to this point guys, you are a real supporter. We love you. We need you. And I just want to show you how it looks from this angle.
I don't know if you can see uh but the view is nice.

>> An option for you to join our membership guys.
>> Mhm.

>> It depends. I think from 19 rand >> from 19 rand guys >> you can Yeah. A dollar you can become a member. You can support us by becoming a a member for our channel.
