Extremely RARE Flash Flood formed WATERFALLS in the Moab Desert & We Drove through it!Added:
Down the trail for 20 minutes, come back. Boom. Waterfall central. It's just incredible.
We're going to go run Hell's Revenge, >> courtesy of Can-Am, of course, because we got invited to the Can-Am 101 content creator event where we get to test all the latest and greatest Can-Am side by sides off-road here in Moab, Utah.
>> How you feeling about this next little adventure we're going on?
>> I'm excited.
>> It sounds like it's going to be a lot different than what we just did. So excited to do some rock crawling.
>> With a name like Hell's Revenge, it must uh be kind of >> sketchy, maybe. Or >> it sounds a little sketchy.
>> And riding with him is a little sketchy, too. I'm just kidding.
>> No, he's he's pretty good. I trust him.
But yeah, this will be this will be a new one for me. This will be fun.
>> Yeah. How do you feel about it? Hell's a pinch.
>> I'm so pumped. I've seen this on social media so many times and done a lot of rock crawling in my Jeeps. Um done a little bit of uh crawling out at Sand Hollow in a canon and the independent suspension is totally different than what I'm used to with the solid axles.
Uh so yeah, it's just going to be a blast. I'm super excited to get this thing in low range and tip her on back.
We're going to go straight up over a fin is going to be our very first obstacle right out of the parking lot. It's about 50 foot drops on both sides. It's as wide as the vehicle is. That's how we're going to start. And then we're going to be in a really technical, really choppy, rocky section. All of that's going to be low range.
>> We ran into >> dude. So, you like work here?
>> Yeah. So, we do a hover and UTV tours up hell's revenge uh a couple times a day.
>> No big deal.
>> No big deal. Yeah. Hummer up the devil's backpack, bro.
>> Bro, how what a cool job.
>> Yeah. You guys remember taking h came hammers over there in expo. Now you're just you're doing >> it all, dude. Yeah. Good to see you, man.
>> Good work. You, too, brother.
>> All right.
Where the hell's your >> How cool is it that these sidebys sides are street legal in a lot of states and you can just drive them straight to the trail. Look at those rocks, baby. We are going to be on solid rock faces for about 90% of the trail today, which is potentially going to get a little sketchy because it's going to rain on us. And I am very curious to see how these tires hook up when these rocks are soaking wet.
Beautiful.
This is like such an easy trail. It's what if you go left or right, you're absolutely scared. Like that's the great new part.
Little bit of water getting our tires wet from the rain.
Should add a little more drama to it hopefully.
I think one of the coolest things about these side by sides is how low and slow they can go in for fourlow. How they can rock crawl and just eat up these super steep rock terrains and then at any moment shift into high gear and literally hit jumps.
>> Yeah. Leaving back in that seat feels good.
Jeez, just incredible views out here.
I thought nicer I'll drive, you know, 15 steep hills like this.
>> The fact that my wife has literally had nightmares about driving up steep hills like this and is giggling while doing it is just a testament to how comfortable and capable these machines really are.
Here's hoping she feels the same way when the rain comes and gets them all wet.
There's a lot of danger zones, places you don't want to drive, as well as shared use trails here on Hell's Revenge in Moab. So, I was impressed with the signage. This one was especially my favorite.
Oh, that's a cool corner. They just disappear around this corner.
We'll follow them.
A bit more technical right there.
Especially in the middle of summer, we get monsoon season.
>> Yeah.
>> So, it'll just dump >> and you just got waterfalls everywhere.
But this little canyon right here is called the Bis Canyon. And if you walk down here and you lay on top of this rock >> and someone can take a picture of you and it looks like you're hanging off the edge of the cliff.
>> Sounds fun.
>> And so it's all about the camera angle.
>> Yeah.
>> You just lay here.
>> Oh yes.
We'll shoot you this way.
>> I didn't know this was the rock climbing we would be doing.
>> So, that was a good topic that just got brought up in conversation. If you guys want to come out and uh rent a Can-Am, apparently 400 bucks will get you 12 hours on your own out here mobbing around uh to do a guided tour like this.
a little more expensive, a little more I think he said like one 180 about 180 bucks per person um for about two or three hours. But either way to run a 30 $40,000 machine seems like a great deal. The sand out here too. So cool.
All right, we got our little scenic pick for the Graham.
Let's mob on out. Oh, but don't worry, we'll be right back. And you remember those waterfalls he was talking about?
They'll be here, too.
I thought we were floating.
>> Oo, look at these beautiful rock ledges.
This will be a great test to put it in four low and see what these Can-Am X3s can really do in a true rock crawling type situation. These rocks have so much traction and as you can see, they've had a few tire marks on them in the past.
If you remember from our last video, we are fortunate to have Dustin Jones, professional Can UTV racer, out here leading the way and in this case, giving us a spot so we get the tires on the right high points to crawl right up and over these Trying to take the easy line.
Hard to pass the easy line.
>> Yeah, you're going to go straight up.
All right, now it's our chance to get this two-seater up these ledges in one shot. Let's see if we can make it happen.
Thanks, man.
Heat.
Heat.
Oh, you going for the steep route?
Nice, dude. I think I can make it too low.
>> I'm used to running my Crocs in two wheel drive in the mud. His microphone is a croc.
>> Oh, I love it.
>> Talk to the croc.
>> Talk to the croc.
>> That was one thing they said like if you see a croc floating in one of the mud bogs, it's too deep. Don't go in it.
>> That is beautiful. Oh, wow. What a beautiful view.
>> Well, thank you.
>> Yeah, this right here. No, this right here.
>> Yeah, that's a good spot for a group photo.
>> Whoa. The river just keeps going, man.
So the first business that I had in >> Moab was bridge.
>> Oh, did you just look at it?
>> Would you look at that? Look at that.
There's a bird. There's some water.
>> Look at that.
>> The birds really are pretty.
>> It was not like that.
>> Is it actively snowing?
>> It's coming.
And the storm is here. So, we're going to get out of here, get back in the side by sides and on the trail. Get rained on for a little bit. But trust me, it's going to be worth being wet and soggy to experience these amazing waterfalls.
>> Oh man, that clothes cab and windshield are really coming in handy right now.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat up here.
Wow, look at that rainbow. Woo! So pretty.
Oh my gosh.
Oh my god, that little waterfall is amazing.
So, we're at get all wet, a little bit cold, and soggy for sure does make some cool footage here.
Look at that.
Oh my god, this just getting better and better.
about to go through a little little bit of a creek.
You can hear that water flow over the motor right now.
That looks like a cool line.
>> Oh my gosh.
working all that.
No way, dude. We were just here and it was all dried up and everyone that's been here before was like, "This place is so cool." When it rains, there's waterfalls everywhere. We go down the down the trail for 20 minutes, come back, boom, waterfall central. It's It's totally transformed. It's wild when weather makes the same place you were just at like a whole new experience. And it's totally worth being wet, soggy, a little bit chilly to uh experience this.
Just incredible.
Oh yeah, that's a whole different vibe of uh 4x4 tour right there. The extreme 4x4. He's really earning the name extreme on that.
Sounds like uh there's a roller coaster over there.
>> Yeah.
>> Sounds like a good time.
>> Oh, he's trying to get him burning.
Timing is everything and that was some good timing.
Well, turns out all this water on these rocks didn't slow these canms down at all. The tires were sticking to the rocks regardless of them being completely soaked, which was super impressive. I literally didn't see anybody slip out or lose traction really at any point other than that guy in the 4x4 tours who really had to try to break his rig loose. That was fun. So anyways, let's cruise back now and wrap up this epic run of Hell's Revenge.
Came in right there. We got to exit here as it says. This is a oneway. Moab is very safe in in all these uh markings.
Kind of has to be cuz this could get very dangerous very quick if it weren't for those signs.
A gate over there.
So green.
>> That was awesome.
>> Probably done most of it.
>> Holy cow.
That was just incredible.
>> And you said you felt safe and that makes me happy.
>> Yeah. I said I love when you can go fast and like go over gnarly stuff but feel safe. Like >> this thing just feels like it grabs onto the ground. And >> yeah, >> when we had a camper hanging off the back of the Jeep and we were wheeling around, you know, king of the hammer, stuff like that.
>> Feels a little different. This thing though was absolutely built for everything and really more than we just did. But uh yeah, I was just saying too.
So cool. So many different people, different countries, different YouTube channels, content on the road even and off-road and everyone came together, had a great time. Thank God for that rain.
Just beautiful.
>> That was so cool.
>> The timing the rain once we got to see it. It looked like snow at one.
>> We turned around. That's what I was thinking.
>> Yeah. We were like, "It's snowing." We literally said, "It's snowing." It was like, "Wait, no, that's the sun reflecting off the rocks." And then >> it hadn't started raining yet. and everyone went to get a group picture and we turned around away from the river and by the time we were done getting the group photo we turned back around and it rained for a while so everything was white and shiny and it was cool. I like driving through after the rain and all the >> the rock was just wet and the sun was bouncing off of it and the rainbows. It was so cool.
>> Dude, thank you for leading the way.
>> Yeah, >> this was just so rad.
>> Couldn't have been better.
>> I know, right?
>> So lucky to have water and get those waterfalls, man. That's just not that common. Yeah, super special day.
>> Yeah, it was so cool. It was like we're talking about it. You're like, "Yeah, you know, it's cool when there's waterfalls here." 20 minutes later.
>> Yep. There you go.
>> We get the full show. Can't be good.
>> Right. Timing is everything.
>> Oh, man.
>> These machines just incredible. Like so confident, inspiring. I I'm sure you felt great being in a canm.
>> That was fun.
>> Just cruising cuz Yeah, that was a new experience for you. I like when you can go fast >> and also feel safe.
>> Yeah, >> like that thing feels so safe.
>> Yeah, for sure.
>> Safety.
>> Pretty good driver.
>> Hey Pat, thanks. I appreciate you.
>> I'm glad that you felt safe cuz at the end of the day that is number one.
Thanks Can&M for uh putting this on for us, getting us fed, getting us, you know, nice comfy accommodations at the uh hotel and yeah, just couldn't ask for more. This has been amazing. So, thank you guys. Make sure to subscribe, check out the next video, comment what you thought of this one, and really the only question is, are you down to mob?
